Swara: (shocked) I bumped into you this morning?

Sanskaar: Looking at you one can never tell that you are this heavy!

Swara: Excuse me!

Sanskaar: Honestly, I feel like one or two of my ribs have been broken. (clutches his chest dramatically)

Swara: Shut up!

Sanskaar: (making innocent faces) What?

Swara: Ugh! Forget it. I don't know why am I even talking to you in the first place.

Sanskaar: (gleaming) Because you find me absolutely adorable.

Swara: Seriously! You are unbelievable.

Sanskaar: I know I'm unbelievably handsome! (winks at her)

Swara: Are you always this irritating or am I the one who is more privileged?

Sanskaar throws his arms around her shoulder playfully and pulls her closer.

Sanskaar: You are the lucky one because you are my seating partner this year, (mumbles to himself) and I find you pretty interesting.

Swara wiggles to get herself free from his hold and he lets her go after teasing her for a while.

Swara: If you don't want anything can I go? I'm kind of late.

Sanskaar: If I'll say that I have some work will you stay? (He looks at her and Swara looks at him confused) Aah... never mind! By the way what are you getting late for, exactly?

Swara: That's none of your business.

Sanskaar: Oho! Boyfriend and all!

Swara: (glares at him) I don't have a boyfriend. I think I should go now.

Sanskaar: But where are you going?

Swara: (taking a deep breath) Are you sure you are as intelligent as people call you?

Sanskaar: That I don't know! But why?

Swara: The college is over and obviously I would be going home now.

Sanskaar: (gives a wide grin) Oh yeah! Exactly! But when are you going to help me with the studies and all?

Swara: How about tomorrow?

Sanskaar: Okay then! (turns to go but stops thinking something) Oh yeah, do you need a ride back home?

Swara: No thanks. My home is nearby only, so I prefer walking.

Sanskaar: All right. See you later then. Good bye partner!

Swara: Partner?

Sanskaar: Yeah! Seat partner!

He turns around to leave but not before winking at her. Swara shakes her head seeing him running down the corridor. Is he real? What has she gotten herself into?

Three days later...

Swara is talking to Ragini before lunch hour. It's more like Ragini is trying to convince Swara who is continuously denying to all her requests.

Swara: Ragini I'm telling you there is no need for that.

Ragini: But I don't understand what's the problem. I'm your best friend, right?

Swara: Exactly Ragini, you are my best friend but that doesn't mean I'll take advantage of you.

Ragini: (takes a deep breath) Oh come on Swara, taking some money for buying the lunch doesn't mean that you are taking any advantage of me.

Swara: But I already have money and I don't need any more.

Ragini: Swara, the money you have is just enough to buy a single burger. You can't even buy a juice after that. We still have half of the day left. You need to eat something properly.

Swara: It's fine Ragini. I'm not feeling that hungry.

Ragini: (a bit frustrated) Okay fine, no one can win over you. (a bit concerned) But are you sure?

Swara: Absolutely! Now come on before the lunch gets over.

Ragini nods her head and they both head towards the cafeteria, having the least idea that Sanskaar has overheard their entire conversation. He has been standing there along with another guy almost same as of his age but Swara and Ragini haven't noticed them. Sanskaar tells something to the other boy and he nods his head. Later, both of them also head towards the cafeteria.

Swara and Ragini are having their lunch sitting on a table in one corner of the cafeteria. Just as Swara is about to take a bite of her burger Sanskaar comes there and takes it away from her hand.

Sanskaar: Wow! Thanks partner. I never knew you care so much about me! I'm touched!

Swara: Hey! That's my burger.

Sanskaar: (sitting and taking a bite) But I know you have bought it for me.

Swara: Great! Seems like I have to spend the whole day like this only.

Sanskaar: Come on Ms. Gruffy! No need to be so angry. Alright, you can have my lunch.

Swara: And is it going to come here on its own, when all you are doing is sitting here and munching over other's food?

Sanskaar: (concentrating on his burger) Don't worry Lucky is bringing it.

Swara: Lucky?

Sanskaar: Hmm... My brother. Lucky.

Ragini: Wait! Are you talking about Laksh Maheshwari who joined the college today only?

Sanskaar: So intelligent! Yup he joined today only. Computer science engineering department.

Ragini: Ugh!

Swara: What happened Ragini?

Ragini: I don't believe this! He has been irritating me ever since we have been studying together.

Just then Laksh comes there with two trays in his hand. He keeps one in front of Sanskaar and other in front of him as he takes a seat adjacent to Ragini's seat.

Sanskaar: (sliding the tray towards Swara) Here, eat this.

Swara: I just want the burger nothing else.

Sanskaar: I'm a Maheshwari and I don't go back on my words. I promised my entire lunch to you for your burger. So get going!

Swara: But I don't want anything else.

Sanskaar: Come on partner at least you know me this much. Unless and until you empty the whole tray I won't let you go even if that means you missing the next class.

He grins at her and Swara takes a deep breath before starting to eat the lunch because there is no way she wants to miss her lectures. Sanskaar smiles looking at her. After finishing the lunch, both the girls head back to their classes.

Laksh: Was it really necessary Bhai?

Sanskaar: (smiles and nods his head) Otherwise she wouldn't have accepted the lunch. In these three days I have came to know this much about her.

Laksh: But why do even care whether she has eaten or not?

Sanskaar: I don't know!

He smiles looking at the door from where Swara has left hardly a few minutes ago.

A week later...

An hour before the lunch time, Swara is holding her book and going somewhere when Sanskaar comes running after her...

Sanskaar: Hey Partner!

Swara: (turns) What are you doing here?

Sanskaar: I wanted your power system notes.

Swara: But yesterday only you took machines.

Sanskaar: (gives her the note book) Here!

Swara: (shocked) You completed it? (Sanskaar shrugs his shoulders) But just in one day? Were you awake the whole night?

Sanskaar: No, I had a pretty good sleep!

Swara: Then how did you...

Sanskaar: (cuts in between) I'm pretty fast you know. (winks at her) Now are you going to keep on interrogating me or are you even planning to give me the notes?

Swara: I have a few questions to complete. Right now I'm going to the library. You can come and take it during the lunch.

Sanskaar: All right, I'll meet you in the cafeteria then.

Swara smiles and nods before leaving for the library.

An hour later...

Swara is sitting in the cafeteria on her usual seat waiting for Ragini and Sanskaar with a bottle of coke in her hand. But to her dismay someone else arrives, someone whom she's expecting to see the least right now.

Person: What's up little Ms. Nobody?

Swara: (shocked) S... Sahil Sir!

Sahil: Now, since you are sitting here doing absolutely nothing I guess you have completed my project work. Am I right?

Swara: Sorry sir!

Sahil: (a bit angry) Why haven't you completed it?

Swara: I was not getting it.

Sahil: What do you mean?

Swara: I mean, you are my senior and you gave me your project. I found it a bit a difficult.

Sahil: Oh God, look here! The biggest nerd of the college is saying that...

Swara: (cuts in between and speaks a bit loudly) Why don't you ask your sister then?

Sahil: (holds her by waist and pulls her towards himself) What did you say?

Swara: (stuttered) I mean, Kavita is also in my class, so, why don't you ask her to...

Sahil: (tightening his grip) To?

Swara: To complete your project.

Sahil glares at her pressing her waist to a level where it becomes painful for Swara. She wiggles to get herself free from his hold but he doesn't budge gripping her waist firmly. Just a few moments later Kavita enters...

Kavita: Oh come on bro! Why do you keep making your hands dirty by touching her always?

Swara frees herself from Sahil's grip forcefully and looks at both of them angrily...

Sahil: Oho, looks like the little Ms. Nobody is getting angry!

Kavita: Then how about we cool her down?

Sahil: (smirks) Actually that's a good idea!

He picks up the bottle of coke Swara has been drinking, opens the cap and pours the entire cold drink on Swara's head. She shudders with the cold drink falling on her head and seeping inside her clothes rolling on her body. It makes her feel gross with all that cold liquid sticking to her body. She gets even angrier...

Kavita: Look at her big bro. It seems as if right now hot flames will emerge out of her head.

Sahil: Well, since I wasn't able to have my breakfast in the morning, I'm planning of having some eggs now and as you're saying we already have flames set here why not take the advantage of it!

Saying this he takes an egg from the kitchen of the cafeteria and aims at Swara's head. Swara is all set to dodge but other seniors block her way. Sahil throws the egg at her and she closes her eyes expecting the egg to hit right on her head but then only someone holds her hand and pulls her before that. She opens her eyes and finds herself entrapped in between Sanskaar's arms who is looking at her with an amused smile on his face.

Sahil: Stay out of this Sanskaar. It's none of your business.

Sanskaar: Woah! Cool down! I just got interested in what's going on here. But then I saw something that was going overboard. I guess you are also well aware of what you must do and what not.

Sahil: I know it. You don't need to tutor me about my manners. I was just trying to grab a breakfast.

Sanskaar: (smirks thinking something) Well then I think I can help you out. (he goes and takes an egg before standing in front of Kavita) Kavita let me ask you a question.

Kavita: Of course Sanskaar, anything!

Sanskaar: Who do you think is hotter? You or Swara?

Kavita: Duh! What's there to ask about? Of course me!

Sanskaar: Exactly! (turns to Sahil) Then don't you think that your breakfast will cook much better here?

Kavita: (confused) What do...

But before she could even complete her statement Sanskaar takes the egg and smashes it right on her head. Kavita shrieks due to the sudden impact. Swara couldn't help a light laugh and Sanskaar smirks with accomplishment.

Kavita: (screams) What the hell?

Sahil: How dare you Sanskaar?

Sanskaar: Cool down big man! (goes near Sahil and whispers in his ears) You know your threatenings don't work out here. However hard you try you can't scare me even though you are senior to me.

He turns around, holds Swara's hand and pulls her out of the cafeteria along with him.
