Everything was black.
Completely pitch black.
I felt like a was suffocating with how dark it was.
Oh wait.
Maybe that's because I forgot to breathe.
Oops.
I took a deep breath and stared into the darkness.
I wasn't scared, but I was definitely confused. Where am I?
I sighed and ran my hand over my face.
Oh.
Maybe it was dark because ohHhHHh I dOnT kNoW mY eYeS aRE cLoSEd.
I hit myself lightly in my head and opened my eyes.
Well... this is disappointing.
Everything was still black.
What's going on?
I realized I was sitting on the floor and carefully stood up. The ground I was on felt smooth, like glass. I began walking forward, hoping to bump into something.
"Is anyone there?" I called out, blindly holding my hands out in front of me. No one answered. I sighed and continued walking. Eventually I would at least run into a wall, right?
After what felt like hours had passed, I gave up and plopped onto the ground. I was lost and confused. But I wouldn't let it get to me.
"(Y/N)." A voice suddenly boomed. I jumped up immediately. "Who's there?" I asked, tensing up and getting ready to defend myself. I tried looking around but it was kinda dark so there wasn't really a point.
"(Y/N)." Said another, much softer voice. "What? What? Who is it? What do you want?" I said, pulling my hair. I don't know why, but this was really stressing me out.
"It's okay, (Y/N). There's no need to be afraid. You are safe here." The soft voice said. I don't know how to describe it other than it sounded like one of those cartoon fairies.
"What do you want with me?" I asked. I didn't get a response. After a couple of minutes I sighed. "Why am I here?" I asked, slightly louder.
"You need to face your fears." The loud voice said. I didn't like whoever this one was. I liked the fairy voice more. I huffed and crossed my arms.
"I have no fears." I said, confidently. What could I possibly be afraid of?
"We all know that you are lying, (Y/N)." The loud voice said. "Please stop lying to yourself." The fairy voice said. To make things easier I'm just gonna call this person a fairy andddddd the other one can be a giant. I smiled at my little fantasy.
"But I'm not lying. I'm not afraid of any- oh. Okay so I might be afraid of one thing but it doesn't matter!" I shouted. Why did they care so much about my fear?
"No (Y/N). Losing your Sunny D isn't what we're talking about." The giant guy said. I scoffed. What else would I be afraid of? Nothing scared me. I wasn't afraid of anything. Nope. Nope. Nopeity. Nope.
"(Y/N). You're scared of being alone." The fairy said. I scoffed. "That's ridiculous! Why would I be afraid of something as stupid as that!" I said, defensively. Honestly! Being alone isn't scary....
"Face it, (Y/N). It's true." The giant said. I laughed rudely. "What proof do you have? Because I can assure you I am not scared of being alone." I stated matter of factly.
"After your mother died, you fell in love with a serial killer. When you became one yourself, you never went on a kill without someone else. When you started that fire in the woods you chose to fall asleep instead of just admitting you were tired and going home, just so you didn't have to walk home by yourself. When your friend Toby left you after getting waffles you decided to go grocery shopping so you'd have an excuse for someone to be with you. Do I need to continue?" The giant asked. I couldn't see him but I knew he was smirking.
"That doesn't prove anything!" I screamed, tears pricking the edges of my eyes. "I'm not scared! I'm not scared!" I shouted, gripping my head.
"(Y/N). What you're experiencing right now isn't real. These 'creepypastas' do not exist. Whatever it is you've made yourself to believe is false." The fairy told me. "No. No it isn't. They're real! They're real and they're my friends!" I shouted. How dare these people feed me lies like this.
"We aren't lying, (Y/N). You're so afraid of being alone that you made the people from your stories come to life. You're living in a fantasy world." The giant said. I tended up.
"No. No. It can't be true. I won't believe you!" I shouted, punching the air and causing myself to stumble over and fall. I hit the ground with a soft 'thump' and couldn't bring myself to get up.
"Oh but (Y/N). It is true. We will even show you what you've actually been doing all this time." The giant said, evilly. Suddenly, there was a bright light and in front of me was a projection. I couldn't believe my eyes.
"YoU kNOw It's RUdE tO eAT wItH yOURr moUtH fULl, (Y/N)" I mumbled to myself while sitting at the dining room table. I appeared to be holding a Sunny D bottle.
What is this? Isn't that what BEN said to me the first time we met? But... then why am I mumbling it to myself while holding a bottle of Sunny D?
"There's more." The fairy said.
The screen changed. And changed. And changed and changed and changed.
Over and over different scenarios played themselves. Different events in my life replayed but with one key difference. None of my friends were in them. Instead of my friends it was just bottles upon bottles of Sunny D and I was mumbling to myself.
This can't be real.
"Oh but it is real, (Y/N)." The giant said. I shook my head. "No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! ITS NOT TRUE! ITS NOT TRUE! IT CANT BE TRUE!" I screamed, curling up into a ball on the hard floor.
I refused to believe these voices. I refuse! I refuse! I refuse!
Then I heard a voice. I could barely hear it, but it was there. "This is for you, (Y/N)." Someone whispered.
"I thought you said she wouldn't be able to hear anything?!" The fairy whispered angrily. "Shh! Maybe she didn't hear! Be quiet!" The giant whispered back. I tilted my head in confusion, but decided to play dumb.
"(Y/N)." The giant said. I looked up and there in front of me stood a.... short goat man? I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion. His lower half seemed goat like, but on top he was a man. Also he was very short... I mean with a voice like his I would've expected him to be taller.
"You cannot cross into the afterlife if you don't face your fear." The fairy said. Then a tall, black-haired... demon? appeared. This was certainly not what I imagined the owner of that voice to look like. I was even more confused.
"What are you talking about? I'm not dead am I?" I asked, unsure. "Oh but you are." The goat man told me. I shook my head. Something seemed off here. What did the demon mean when she said I shouldn't have been able to hear anything? And what was it I heard? I sighed in utter confusion. For some reason, my head was hurting, very badly.
"Well then I guess I'm not accepting my fear, because I definitely don't wanna die just yet." I stated, casually lying down and crossing my arms behind my head. The pair stared it me in confusion. "Why wouldn't you want to go to the afterlife?" The goat man asked, clearly surprised.
"Well why would I do that when I can just become a ghost and prank people?" I said, as if it was obvious. The two shared a look. "This one isn't like the others. What do we do?" The giant whispered. "I don't know. Usually they all jump at the chance to escape their cruel world or whatever and from there it's wayyyy too easy to trick them into coming to the underworld." The demon whispered back.
Oh. It all made sense now. Honestly these two were horrible at whispering. But I was very thankful for that at the moment.
I wasn't dead. These... I'm guessing they're both demons... these demons probably invaded my brain or something and were trying to lead me to believe I was dead. The Sunny D thing? That was probably their way of coming up with a convincing enough lie. But it's come to attention they messed up there. Even if I was totally crazy and decided to pretend a bunch of Sunny D bottles were people, I wouldn't be able to refrain myself from drinking the Sunny D. And all the bottles were full.
I smirked. The last thing I remember was being shot, so if that's anything to go off of, I'm probably lying on the ground somewhere and the three of us are currently inside my head.
While the two argued back and forth, I imagined a knife appearing in my hands. Almost like magic, I felt something cool fall into the hands and I smiled widely. I subtly uncrossed my arms and sat back up.
Then I snuck towards the arguing demons and lunged. I quickly stabbed the goat man right in the chest before stabbing him again in the head just to be sure. Then I pulled my knife out and tackled the other demon, holding my knife to her neck and grinning wickedly. Without a warning, I slit her throat, stabbed her in the eye, and backed away.
The projection that had been playing on repeat and providing a source of light began withering away. The bodies of the two demons followed suit as well as the blackness I had been previously consumed in.
And then everything was white.
"Oh come on! Shouldn't I be awake now!" I shouted in disbelief. Then I felt a sudden pain from where I had been shot by Zalgo.
"Ah that's right... I was basically killed. But... I'm immortal aren't I? Ah that's right. I might be immortal but I still need to 'heal' or whatever. I wonder how long that will be... hmmm." I wondered aloud. I absentmindedly brushed my should in thought. My fingertips hit fabric and that's when I remembered I had been hit there a while ago.
Curiously, I untied the white fabric expecting to see a nasty gash, but there wasn't one. "Woah..." I muttered. This was weird. Just because us pastas are immortal doesn't mean we are safe from getting hurt. We just cant die. That's when I remembered that Rick told me I could heal fast.
"That's right... wow that was fast." I mumbled.
I remember EJ explaining to me that when a pasta dies, it usually takes them a few days before they wake up again. But if I healed fast, did that mean it would take me a shorter amount of time? Also why am I able to see my body as if I'm just walking around like any other day?
I brushed those thoughts away and decided to take a nap. If I was lucky, maybe when I woke up, I would actually be awake in real life. I made myself comfortable and closed my eyes, letting sleep take over.
