The next morning Martha is awakened by someone knocking on the door.

Martha: Who could that be this early in the morning?

Martha gets up and opens the door to see a woman standing in front of her.

Martha: Who are you?

Woman: You're the king's wife, right?

Martha: Yes

Woman: Your daughter.....she

Martha: What about my daughter? She left last night

Woman: She was kidnapped by soldiers from another village!

Martha: WHAT?!!!

Woman: It's true, about 6 other citizens witnessed it as well

Misuki and Nasse walk into the living room and ease drop on the conversation.

Martha: We have to alert the police force right away!

Woman: That's already been established! They're looking over the evidence and searching for trails as we speak

Martha: Thank you for letting me know this

The woman leaves, Martha turns around to see Misuki and Nasse standing in the middle of the living room.

Martha: You two heard everything didn't you

Nasse: Yeah we did

Martha: Well then you two should know where we're going. Get dressed!

Nasse: Where are we going?

Misuki: To the police station

Martha takes Misuki and Nasse with her to the police station to see what they found out about Naomi's kidnappers.

Police Chief: I'm sorry Ms. Toeshin but we haven't found any trace of your daughter's kidnappers

Nasse: Don't you guys have dogs?

Police Chief: Yeah what about them?

Misuki: Nasse why does that matter?

Nasse: Dogs have keen noses they can trace her scent

Martha: That's actually a brilliant idea!

Misuki: What are we going to use that smells like her? We don't have any of her stuff

Nasse: Yeah we do

Nasse takes the police chief and everyone else back to their house and grabs one of Naomi's shoes from under his bed.

Misuki: How did you get that?

Nasse: Naomi must have just dropped it on her way out, I figured since she was so upset she didn't even realize she left it behind

Police Chief: But does it have a scent on it?

Nasse: Well she wore it yesterday it should have some type of scent on it

The police chief takes the shoe and let's one of his search dogs sniff it. Immediately the dog takes off running towards the entrance of the city. The policemen and Misuki, Martha and Nasse follow behind him. The police dog leads everyone into the woods but there is no sign of Naomi.

Nasse: She's not here

Police Chief: This is a good start. We know now that your daughter isn't being held captive in the city. We'll document this then we'll begin the search as soon as possible

Martha: Okay

Martha, Misuki and Nasse all head home for the night.

Nasse: This still all seems like a complete nightmare

Misuki: It is a nightmare and even worse we can't do anything but sit and wait for them to find something

Nasse: There's no telling how dad is going to react when he finds out
