Sometimes I think the obligation to be happy

Stops me from being so

Sometimes I think that the work that's meant to teach me

Leaves me aching to know

It just doesn't make sense

Nothing really does

It's all the same, the same, the same

I just need some change

I'm under too much stress

I confess

I've had six breakdowns in the past six days

Is it awful that sobbing is a regular thing

Or is this what growing up means

I'm never sure what to feel or what to think

But I'm even less sure when someone tries to tell me.
