Chapter 2
Gwen
I hate airplanes, crowded areas, children, people, waiting on long lines, and most importantly I hate being told No. However in my attempt to be a normal human, I decided to take the aeroplane instead of just using my trusty broom or just a simple teleportation spell. My therapist claimed that being around normal humans would make me understand them better, but I doubted that was possible everything they did irritated me. I wasn't going to tell her that though, part of my probation was to attempt to blend in with the human crowds, and as a result I was being sent to the most tourist populated area near me.
"Excuse me, miss could you hand me that blue duffel bag?" I looked in front of me towards the bag, however there were at least three identical blue duffel bags, not to mention a mass wave of black roller cases. Stepping out of the way before I was asked more questions I spotted my trusty bag. The bright colors were not something most people would associate with me, but when I saw the horrendous yellow spotted roller case on the sale rack I knew it was meant to be mine. The colors alone would be enough to make it stand out in a sea of black rollers, and like me it was unique and bright. Dragging it off the conveyor belt I realized it was lighter than normal but then again I didn't think I packed all my spell books, just the basic necessities that I could still use without getting in even more trouble.
Outside the airport was a mass of yellow cars and tour buses all eagerly awaiting the disgusting tourist, picking the cab closest to me I gave it my temporary living address. The drive to the hotel was quiet, well at least I was, Karl, my chauffeur didn't get the memo I wanted no human interaction because he spent the next thirty minutes telling me about all the amazing tourist attractions I needed to visit. My nightmare came to an end as he pulled up in front of an oceanfront hotel, tipping him I hurried out and made my way to the check-in where I had to wait, yet again.
Fifteen minutes later, I had a hotel key as well as a free luau voucher and complimentary breakfast. Nobody ever said anything about using my natural good looks to charm men into giving me what I wanted. I threw open my trusty case on the bed, and unzipped it ready for a night of fun, however my spell books and potions were nowhere in sight instead my suitcase was packed with flowery prints and boring romance book. Someone took my baby! They were going to pay when I got my hands on them my probation could fall into a dark ditch and wait for me there.
