Sixteen

The Christmas Festival lasted three days. This year, those days were 14th, 15th and 16th of December. Friday, Saturday and Sunday respectively. During those three days, the students were expected to showcase their abilities. Since the entire reason behind the festival was to attract new students for the University. And honestly, it did work since the festival was really famous and a bunch of people would always attend. This year was not the exception at all and Changbin was already tired, even though it was merely 2 pm of the first day.

"Seo Changbin," he heard through the earpiece he was wearing.

"Here," he answered.

"Stage 6 needs help with the audio settings."

"Got it," Changbin put his bottle of water down and ran through the campus to the mentioned stage.

As a music student, he and a group of other students were on charge of the music for performances. They had to make sure everything was perfect because part of the reputation of the university was based on how good the performances were. And honestly, K-Arts was a privileged University which Changbin was only able to attend to thanks to the inheritance his parents left him after they died.

That day he didn't have to perform but he had to be running around supervising everything the entire day. The Festival started at 10 am and around 6 pm it would start to close down. Which meant Changbin only had four more hours of suffering before he could just go home and sleep until the next day.

Even so, not everything was bad. At 3pm was Minho, Hyunjin and Felix's performance and although he'd seen a big part of the choreography already, he was excited. Because it wasn't the same to see them dance in a dance practice room, to see them perform in a stage with people cheering for them. And especial clothes (that Changbin's hadn't seen and was looking forward to), make up and lighting for the performance.

He also had the pleasure of seeing the art exhibition and Felix painting was beautiful. The boy had painted an scene that Changbin knew perfectly. It was a sidewalk, with trees at both sides of it that were already loosing its leaves. And two guys were walking down the sidewalk, arms linked and looking at each other. Changbin knew it was nothing else than them two in one of their many morning strolls as soon as he saw the painting. Changbin also loved that despite living in Korea, Felix didn't hold back in the fact that he was painting two male figures.

It was the cheesiest thing ever and he loved it.

Presentation on Stage 6 was over and Changbin headed towards stage 8 where his friends and boyfriend would present. Changbin had specifically asked for a break at that time because he wasn't going to miss the performance no matter what. He got to the stage a few minutes earlier and helped the two of his classmates that were making sure everything for the presentation was on its position and then moved backstage, where his friends were already.

A "Jesus Fucking Christ," slipped through Changbin's lips as soon as he saw Felix sitting on a chair while a girl from the drama faculty finished doing his hair.

Felix turned around when he heard Changbin and his face blushed, contrasting so strongly against the entirely white outfit he had on. He was wearing white and tight pants with a white buttonless silk shirt that fell through his arms and abdomen perfectly. The shirt had a bow that was yet to be tied and it let Felix's collarbone be seen.

Breathtaking

Changbin wasn't sure if he was living or dying at the moment. Maybe it was both.

When the girl that was doing Felix's hair finished, the boy got up and walked towards Changbin, still blushing and apparently nervous. Changbin thought he was the cutest thing he'd ever seen in his miserable life. And when Felix was right in front of him, Changbin didn't know what else to do than tying the laces of the shirt into a soft bow that fell down. He didn't want to hug Felix because he felt like it would make the shirt get wrinkles. And he didn't want to kiss him because it would ruin the makeup. So he simply looked straight into the boy's eyes and said:

"You are the piece of art here," and Felix's face became redder than the actual color red, making Changbin want to kiss him even more, but he contained himself.

"Lix, are you ready?" Hyunjin entered the room and Felix turned around, nodding. "Come in, then. We're about to start."

Felix looked back at Changbin and smiled, holding his boyfriend's face and leaving a short peck on his lips.

"I'll be looking for you in the crowd," he then ran to the door Hyunjin had just disappeared through, leaving a blushed and perplexed Changbin standing there.

Changbin reacted a few seconds later, sighing nervously and smiling unconsciously. He went to the outside where a crowd was already gathered, waiting for the next performance. Changbin made his way to the middle part of the crowd, near the wall where he found Jisung. A few rows to the front he could see Seungmin and Jeongin waiting for the performance too. And looking around he saw Woojin and Chan near the other end of the room. They were all there.

"God, I'm so excited!" Jisung told him once Changbin reached him, the room was a little bit dark and all the chattering made it hard for him to hear Jisung, so the boy had to repeat himself lauder.

"I'm too!" Changbin replied in all honesty.

In that moment, the few lights in the room went off and three lights illuminated the stage, each one of them was a different color. Changbin wasn't aware of the lighting since that was under the Film and Multimedia division. And he was glad he didn't know because seeing the blue light shower over Felix and his white outfit was breathtaking.

He heard Jisung gasp next to him and he was sure he had gasped too.

Minho's light was red and Hyunjin's was green. They were positioned like a triangle, back at each other and facing the floor. Minho's blonde hair was shining under the red light and Hyunjin's and Felix's black hair reflecting the light was an espectacular view. Changbin was sure that Jeongin and Seungmin were just as awestruck as he and Jisung were.

The colored lights went off again and this time a white light coming from the back of the stage was turned on. As soon as the music started to play, the light started to flicker, making an incredible effect in the dance that Changbin couldn't take his eyes off of it for a second.

Once the intro was over, came the individual parts that started with Hyunjin in the center. Hyunjin's part was strong and sexy, a different air to what Hyunjin's general personality was like, but it suited him perfectly. Changbin was sure that a really high pitched scream that came from the crowd was Jeongin's responsibility. Then Minho came in, with a more slow and sensual vibe, but still sharp and captivating. Felix's part was upbeat, strong and energetic. And most importantly, he did it perfectly. Changbin felt nothing but proudness and admiration while seeing his boy on stage.

But his soul almost left his body, or maybe it did leave his body, when at some point near the end of the performance, Felix looked at him. Their eyes connecting and Felix's eyes piercing his own from under his bangs, with a sweat drop rolling down his right cheek. Changbin's breath got caught in his throat for what seemed like an entire minute for him. The whole world around him freezing and only going back to normal once Felix looked away to continue with the ending of the performance.

Changbin was breathless and he hadn't moved a centimeter from his position since the start of the performance.

They boys finished, thanked the people for watching their performance and went backstage. Their group of friends rushed there too, wanting to congratulate the other three for such an amazing work.

Chan and Woojin got there first since they were the closest and when Changbin and Jisung arrived, so did Jeongin and Seungmin. Chan had gone over to Felix and was hugging him tightly.

"That was so good!" Chan said, strangely speaking in his native language.

"Thanks!" Felix answered, extending the word as he said it and a big smile on his face.

Woojin didn't go to hug Hyunjin and Minho because he saw that Seungmin, Jeongin and Jisung had arrived just after he and Chan. So he ceded his turn to them. Not even a second after, Hyunjin had been tackled by the two youngest ones in the group and Jisung had jumped over Minho.

"That was spectacular!" Jisung didn't contain himself and screamed, making Minho and everybody else in the room laugh.

When Jisung jumped over Minho, the older one barely had any time to react and hold him. Jisung quickly wrapped his legs around Minho's waits and hugged him tightly, not even letting Minho breathe. But Minho wasn't complaining, he'd started to laugh alongside the others.

Chan let go of Felix and Changbin went over to hug him. Felix let a big sigh of relief come out of him when the arms of his boyfriend rounded him.

"God, I was so nervous," Felix said within the sigh and hid his face on Changbin's shoulder.

"But you were amazing," Changbin whispered on Felix's ear.

Felix shivered a little and held Changbin closer to himself, "Do you really think so?" And he could feel Changbin nod as an answer. Changbin pulled him a little bit closer if it was even possible and left a kiss on Felix's cheek, making him chuckle.

"I'm almost, ALMOST, jealous of how easily and fast they teleport into their own little world," Chan commented, breaking the moment between Changbin and Felix but no making them separate. But Chan didn't have to complain about it for too long since Woojin walked towards him and hugged him from the back. Chan immediately smiled and intertwined his fingers with Woojin's.

Changbin couldn't help but laugh at how the entire group was divided in couples. He just hoped none of them broke up because then it would be a mess to solve. But for now, everybody was happy and on the arms of those who they loved. Even if the relationships was unconventional, acted like teenagers, was too cheesy or was way more mature than what you would expect from a relationship from young adults. It felt correct, like every piece of the puzzle was were it needed to be.
