Chapter 9 | Tired
Patton curls up into a ball and sobs. Virgil pulls him close to his chest and whispers sweet nothings. The world seem to grow dimmer for Patton. Although his secret love for Virgil was out and Virgil shared the same feelings, he had never felt so isolated. It was almost like the world didn't want him to be happy. It was the kind of lonely where you're surrounded by people but you can't feel them.
"Patton you gotta breathe, you aren't breathing!" Virgil said, trying to stay calm.
Patton hadn't even realized that he was panicking. That's why the world was beginning to grow dim. It felt like the walls were closing in on him. Soon the room was no more and there was only black. He was just... tired.
About an hour later, Patton woke up in Virgil's arms. Virgil hadn't left. He looked at Patton with so much concern it hurt Patton to put him in that much pain. All he did was worry and hurt the people that he loved. He couldn't keep doing this. Virgil was the only person he felt that wanted him alive! Patton didn't even want to be alive.
"Oh, good you're awake! I was beginning to think I'd have to start mouth to mouth..." Virgil joked, trying to lighten up the mood.
Patton smiled weakly, "I...I'm really tired, I'll see you tomorrow."
Virgil sighed and nodded. He kissed him on the forehead and walked out. Patton was finally alone. He walked over to his mirror and just started crying. He hated himself so much. The pain he felt was unbearable.
He didn't know how much more he could take.
