Patton stared at himself in the mirror. Same blue shirt, with the tie, and nerd glasses. Same stupid face. Same worthless personality. He knew he had to show up for this video or all the sides would kick his door down. Patton did not want that. He sighed and adjusted his tie once more. He heard Thomas setting up the tripod and clearing his throat. Patton waited for them to call him up, that was the only way he could show up. Suddenly he heard Thomas call his name. He took a deep breath and rose into the room. He smiled.

         "Hey guys..." Patton smiled. 

        ¨You are back," Roman laughed and looked down.

      Virgil looked at him and smiled slightly, well more of a grimace. Patton knew what he met. Thomas looked at him with a guilty stare, ¨Patton I am so sorry for what I said to you it was mean and... are you... alright?¨

       ¨Never better kiddo..." Patton smiled again, almost forced.

        Thomas nodded and proceeded to tell about the issue of Joan. He had missed their play that they had made. Thomas promised he would be there, but instead watched the Office bloopers for the fifteen and a half time. They did not know whether they should lie or tell the truth. Virgil said they should tell the truth. Roman said they should lie as well as Logan. What did they decide to do? Make a play.

      After that fiasco they went back to their living room. ¨But you should lie, you do not want to lose a great friend, do ya?" Patton said hopeful. 

            ¨No I think you are wrong this time buddy..." Thomas said softly.

       Patton looked down and mumbled, ¨then why am I here?¨ 

       ¨Patton..." Virgil looked at him.

¨No..." Patton left.

Why was he even there?
