Chapter 3 | Do They Even Care?
Patton stared at his ceiling, the days seemed to merge, and he had no concept of time. He had been in his room for days, not eating, nor taking care of himself. He wanted to shut the world out. Since the time Virgil had talked to him, no one had even attempted to visit Patton. This made his feel ten times worse. He at least thought someone cared about him. Suddenly he heard a faint knock at his door. Patton sat up and his eyes quickly drew focus onto the door.
"Virgil I told you already, I'm fine!" Patton yelled, hoping Virgil would hear him.
"It's not Virgil, Patton..." Logan's voice softly echoed through the door.
"I don't wanna talk..." Patton sighed.
Logan however would not take no for an answer, he picked the lock and swiftly entered the room.
"What are you thinking?! I told you I didn't wanna talk" yelled Patton.
"You know me Patton, I don't take no for an answer... now tell me what's going on?"
"I just wanna be alone, can't I be alone?"
"Of course you can be alone, but not for days on end. Especially if you aren't taking care of yourself..." Logan said, raising his voice slightly.
"No one cared before if I disappeared for days on end, why start caring now?"
"Because before you took care of yourself... you were happy, or at least pretended to be. You're so good at deceiving all of us..."
"Don't give me Deceit's characteristics.... you know I don't like that guy... he's a snake." Patton calmly said.
"We miss you, and we want you to come back. Things haven't been the same since you left..." Logan said, placing a hand on Patton's shoulder.
"If I join you in a video, will you leave me alone?" Patton asked.
"Yes, but only if you come out for videos and TALK to us, not through a door..." Logan smiled hopefully.
"Fine, I'll see you later for the video," Patton smiled fakely.
Would he actually show?
