This is the fourth in a series of writing rants. What I'm gonna say is based off a few things I've seen people do, including Think_Insiration's "Zia's Blog of ... um, something!!" xXTheDragonRidersXx's "DR's blog of Writing (...and other things)" Parogar's "Haters Gonna Hate" and a few others.

This is basically going to be a short [yeah right] collection of things I hate as a reader. If any of them apply to you, please try not to take offence. Like I always say, use it as constructive criticism. Build upon it. I know I'm not the greatest writer, and this is not intended to offend, but some of these ... *sigh* You'll see.

If you don't want to continue reading, by all means, you don't have to. This may offend, but every word is true..

Cliché

This'll be short.

Okay who likes a good cliché moment? *raises hand* I'm not ashamed to admit I'll get mushy for a kiss in the rain. Always cute. But when everything's cliché? That's pushing it. Let's list a couple:

Cliché Moment #1: The bad boy meets then falls in love with the good/nerdy girl, or visa versa.

Cliché Moment #2: Main character's lover dies, or looks dead, the MC cries over them and they're revealed to be not dead (so. many. times. *bangs head*).

Cliché Moment #3: The hero is betrayed by his friends/family then returns to save the day.

Cliché Moment #4: Falling in love with the best friend.

Cliché Moment #5: Too many inside jokes that no one gets.

Cliché Moment #6: Dramatic reveal of amazing superpowers that don't make any sense to anyone.

Cliché Moment #7: The hero dramatically sacrifices themself to save the day.

Cliché Moment #8: Evil villain speech that drags on before someone intervenes just in time.

Cliché Moment #9: Love at first sight/True loves kiss.

Cliché Moment #10: Being the "Chosen One."

*bangs head against desk* Some of these I have seen so many dam times, its unbelieveable. There are more. Believe it or not, there are hundreds. But these are some I believe you should not use unless you are confident of making it entertaining and different. This peeve doesn't bother me as much as some of the others do, but its still so annoying!
