This is the third in a series of writing rants. What I'm gonna say is based off a few things I've seen people do, including Think_Insiration's "Zia's Blog of ... um, something!!" xXTheDragonRidersXx's "DR's blog of Writing (...and other things)" Parogar's "Haters Gonna Hate" and a few others.

This is basically going to be a short [yeah right] collection of things I hate as a reader. If any of them apply to you, please try not to take offence. Like I always say, use it as constructive criticism. Build upon it. I know I'm not the greatest writer, and this is not intended to offend, but some of these ... *sigh* You'll see.

If you don't want to continue reading, by all means, you don't have to. This may offend, but every word is true..

Spelling/Punctuation/Grammar Errors

This one. *slides off chair into an endless abyss* No. Just no.

The amount of people who have spelling, punctuation or grammar errors within their writing is so large is nearly funny. Nearly. Honestly, writing is more than telling a story. It's about telling it using proper punctuation so that the reader actually knows what you're talking about!

And don't even get me started on using text talk or Facebook talk, in an actually book. I have read several stories that go like this:

Wendy: Hey Billy! Wat r u doing this weekend??

Bill: *shrugs* Something

They started talking until Wendy asked something

Wendy: Do u want to go 2 the movies?

billy smiled ":) Yes Wendy I would love 2 go to the movies With You"

Wendy: Yay!!

They keep talking. Billy makes a funny joke

WendY: XD LOL!

Do you know how bloody hard that was to write? How hard it is to purposefully make spelling and grammar errors? If its hard for me to do it on purpose, how are people doing this accidently?

Notice the lack of full stops? The shift between past and present tense (not really a spelling/grammar error, but whatever)? The text talk? The sudden switch from Facebook talk to proper? The random capital letters? *tears hair out* ARGH!

I'm not making this up. People do this!! A few of my friends did this (love them to death, but, AHH!). And its just as infuriating as what I wrote up there *points up* That was hard to write, let alone read.

Please, people of wattpad. Read over your work. Fix your errors. And if you write like the exmaple up there, you need to have a serious heart to heart with yourself about whether you actually know how to write or are just kidding yourself. That is all.
