Shadow's P.O.V.
My heart was beating faster by the second. My mind was racing. My palms were sweaty.

I. Was. Kissing. Sonic!

My ears perked up when I felt his hand on my chest, very weakly pushing me away. I had my eyes closed so I couldn't see his expression.

After a while, his fingers slowly curled up on my chest fur and he kissed back.

I couldn't help but purr when he started messing with my chest fur, my blush burning my cheeks.

I slowly pulled away and panted lightly, I looked at Sonic in the eyes, he was madly blushing as well, his hand still on my chest, his ears were slightly lowered, and his lip was trembling, he tried saying something but instead he smiled slightly and kissed me again.

My ears perked up at that and I felt myself melting in the kiss, I closed my eyes again and kissed back, my body didn't want to move, even though I knew that if we got caught we'd both be in trouble.

I don't care anymore.

"Got everything ready?" Rouge walked to us with a slight smirk. It has past two days, we were waiting for her at G.U.N., although I wouldn't mind leaving her here.

"Yes." I glared at Rouge telling her to stay shut up. "You're late."

"Oops~" Rouge shrugged. "Oh well, let's go." She smiled and started walking.

I glanced at Sonic as I started walking, he was smiling slightly as he looked at Rouge with his ears lowered, he was probably feeling bad for her. I sighed quietly knowing I couldn't do anything to help him now, we were out in the open, with countless security cameras around G.U.N.'S headquarters, I'm not risking getting caught.

We walked in silence, that was surprisingly not awkward, but Rouge's smirk made it hell for me.

"So~ Hun~" She said happily as she got between me and Sonic. "Did you do anything fun~" Her smirk became wider when Sonic blushed.

"Yes, I finally woke up without you ruining my morning." I said with a low growl. "Yesterday was the best morning of my life."

"Why? Because you woke up with Blue by your side~" Rouge continued, making it awkward for Sonic.

"No!" I growled louder. "Be quiet for once in your life!"

"Excuse me?" Rouge chuckled. "What do you mean by 'once in my life'?" She raised a brow.

"You keep talking about it while I've told you many times that I don't want to talk about it!" I tried to calm down.

"Fine! Sorry that I care about my best friend!" She lowered her ears and her eyes became watery.

I looked at Sonic for help since I couldn't calm her down when she was mad, making him chuckle and look at Rouge. "Rouge, please don't punch me but, is it that time of the month...?"

Rouge looked at Sonic then down at the floor and mumbled. "Maybe..."

Sonic chuckled softly and rubbed her back. "It's okay, try to calm down, the mission isn't that long, you'll be home by midnight."

"Yeah... Can we please hurry up? I'm literally dying." She held her stomach and groaned.

I chuckled quietly and nodded. "If you keep your mouth shut, you'll be home before you even know it."

Rouge whined and nodded then stayed quiet, after a couple of hours, we reached Eggman's base. I slowly entered the building with Sonic following closely, while Rouge snuck from the other side. I immediately went to the computer room and started looking through the files, my ears perked up when I saw a file that had "False Laws" written on it.

"Sonic, come look at this." I mumbled as I opened the file. My ears dropped when I saw articles about homosexuality.

Homosexuality Now Illegal?!

According to the Commander of G.U.N., homosexuality has been always illegal to this day, but unfortunately, the papers were stolen, he claims that he has found the papers, but keeps them hidden for safety reasons.

Commander: "I knew it was wrong from the beginning, this is complete nonsense and a shame to our community, I hope that whoever is against the law feels ashamed of themselves."

We've questioned the Commander about the new law, but he, unfortunately, ignores every question. Except one.

Reporter: Why do you want to bring back this law?

Commander: Because it's something we must do. God created Adam and Eve. Not Adam and Steve. A male must be with a female. No exceptions for anyone.

Reporter: Can we see the papers?

Commander: No. They might get stolen again.

I growled lowly as I read the articles. Ashamed?! Ashamed for what? For something that can not control?

"Shadow. Someone's coming." Sonic whispered and got in a fighting stance.

"Well, hello Shadow." Eggman smirked. "I see that you found the files G.U.N. wanted."

I turned around and looked at Eggman with an emotionless expression. "Why do you have these?"

"Because I know about your little 'secret'." Eggman chuckled.

I raised a brow and crossed my arms. "Explain."

"Well, you see, I invented a machine that can read your mind when you sleep." Eggman smirked proudly. "And your dreams are... Well, illegal" He chuckled.

"We're taking the files." I mumbled and chaos speared between his feet. "Leave before I hit your face." I turned around and took the files then grabbed Sonic's wrist and chaos controlled us outside. "Call Rouge."

Sonic slowly nodded and called Rouge, telling her that we had the files.

After a while, Rouge walked to us groaning. We looked at her confused.

"Are you okay Rouge?" Sonic asked confused and walked to her.

Rouge nodded and rested back on a tree. "It's the second day. I feel like it's a waterfall down there. I threw up from how bad I am."

"I'm sorry, but I don't understand." Sonic chuckled.

"I don't care! I need to complain about it!" She whined and sat down. "I'm so dizzy."

I rolled my eyes and gave Rouge the papers then picked her up knowing she wasn't going to stand up again.

Rouge read the files and dropped her ears. "What? How could they fall for that? It's obviously a lie!" She suddenly shouted, making me jump.

"Stay quiet! I thought you were in pain?" I whispered at her and raised a brow.

"Oh, the pain is unbearable. But this makes me mad. Because the love of my life is in prison because of this!" She shouted again.

I sighed and glanced at Sonic, he seemed mad about something, he kept looking at Rouge then down at his hands.

"I understand, but keep it down. We'll solve this." I put Rouge down when we were close and took the papers. "Tell the commander that Eggman destroyed the files. Sonic, we have to go to your mother."

Sonic looked at me shocked and dropped his ears. "What? Why?"

I shook my head and grabbed his wrist then chaos controlled close to the castle. "Will they let me in?"

He slowly nodded. "Yes. But what are you going to do?" He looked at me confused.

"Everything I can to stop this."
