Five (draft)

Once my initial fear went away, I started formulating a way to get out of here. Usually, in a fight or flight situation like this one, I'd definitely choose the flight option, but I'm in a moving vehicle, tied up, with two gun-equipped men who won't hesitate to hurt me if I do anything wrong, so that option is out the window, literally.

Now, I'm not trained in the field of spy and... stuff, but I've seen enough action movies and T. V. shows to know what I'm supposed to do here. I looked around the back of the van, trying to find something to help me escape. The shine of something caught my eye and I turned my head to see some sort of a metal sticking out from the corner of the van. It looked sharp enough to cut through the rope.

I glanced at blondie and the driver and found them talking heatedly about something in what sounded like German; their attention was not on me. Slowly and subtly, I slid towards the metal, while keeping an eye out at the two in the front seat, till I felt the slight prick of the metal. I moved my hands up and down so that the rope would scrape over the metal.

After a few minutes, I felt the ropes loosen and come off, making a sigh of relief escape from my mouth. Then I bent my legs under me and got to work on the knots on my ankles, silently thanking the inventor of ball gowns as the length of my dress covered up the fact that I was undoing my knots.

Just as I finished untying myself, Blondie looked back at me. I held my breath, praying that he didn't figure out what I was doing. He scowled at me and looked back at the driver. It felt as if the van was coming to a stop and I hoped that we hadn't reached the destination because I assume that there will be a lot more men there and my plan won't work.

The two of them got out of the van and shut the doors. I waited for them to open the back door. When they didn't, I crawled to the back door of the van and peered out. Not seeing anyone in sight, I tried to open the door, and to my utter luck, it did. I got out and looked around to see that we were at a gas station on a highway and I could see both the men in the shop. Thanking my stars, I broke out in a run, just as I heard the shout of one of the men telling me to stop.

Like hell I will.

Lifting up my gown, I ran faster than I ever knew possible. But, of course, when things were going slightly good for me, something had to mess up. The back of my dress caught up in my heel and I came crashing down, just as one of the men caught up to me. I winced as I heard the loud rip of the dress tearing, and struggled to get him off me.

Safe to say, that didn't happen. What did happen was, I ended up with my dress torn in various places, barely covering my body, which had lots of scratches all over. Sometime during the struggle, I also managed to give Blondie, who was the guy on top of me, a nasty bruise.

So much for an escape plan. I thought dejectedly as the men took me back to the van, tying me up again and placing me in between them this time.

~~~~~~~
My eyes were trained on the ground, and I was trying my best to focus on anything but the men surrounding me when a man dressed in a suit approached me and kneeled in front of the chair I was securely tied to.
"This is the first and last time I'll ask you," he said, in a straight forward tone, "where is the package?"
I gulped and tried to hide the fact that I was shaking like a leaf. I heard him sigh before her roughly lifted my chin up, forcing me to look straight at him.
"Luke here-" he said pointing to the man who brought me here, "-told me that you've been a very naughty girl, trying to escape and giving him a nasty bruise. Now, he can't wait to punish you." I shivered at his words, knowing exactly what he meant.
"So, here's the deal, either you tell me where the package is or I hand you over to him." Just as he said this, a loud bang came from outside the room we were in, making me jump and whimper while all the men other than Mr. Scary suit guy and Luke ran out.
From the corner of my eye, I caught a movement and turned my head in the direction. My eyes widened as I saw Austin crouching behind one of the big crates with a gun in his hand and a finger on his lips telling me not to make a noise.
I gulped and looked back at the men who were talking to each other in hushed voices. When they were done, the man in the suit left and Luke turned to me with a smirk which chilled me to the bone. He walked to me, his eyes roaming over my barely covered body.
He opened his mouth to say something. But before a word could come out of his mouth, Austin came up behind him, out of nowhere, and knocked him out. I watched Luke fall forward and squealed when his heavy body fell on me.
Austin picked him up and threw him to the side like a rag doll and got to work on the ropes on my wrists and ankles. Once my hands were free, I took off the tape on my mouth and smacked Austin, who was untying my ankles, on the back of his head.
He winced and glared up at me, but said nothing as he went back to working on the knots.
"If we get out here alive, I'm so going to kill you." I whisper yelled, "and if I die, I'm going to haunt you for the rest of your life."
"You're not going to die." Austin said immediately, "I won't let you die."
Although my heart fluttered a little at that, I didn't have time to ponder over it because the door burst open and a bunch of men barged in led by none other than Mr. Scary Suit Dude.
Austin grabbed my hand and ran behind a bunch of crates just as the gun shots started going off. He handed me a gun and loaded the one in his hand before shooting at a few men, effectively taking them down in one shot each.
I stared at the gun, then at Austin, then back at the gun. "What am I supposed to do with this?" I asked, waving the gun in his face, making him look at me in annoyance.
"What do you mean, what are you supposed to do? Shoot some people!" He exclaimed. I rolled my eyes at him and scowled.
"Really? I thought we had to invite them to a tea party!" Not the time to be sarcastic, Eleanor. "I know what I'm supposed to do, I was asking how I'm supposed to do it!"
"What kind of a spy are you? C-"
"How many times do I have to tell you that I'm not a spy!" I whisper-shouted in annoyance. He simply rolled his eyes and grabbed my hand, dashing towards the door closest to us, dragging me along with him. I winced at the loud gunshots going off around us, one almost hitting me in the arm before we finally exited the room and entered a narrow hallway.
Austin took a broken piece of a pipe and lodged it through the door handle, locking the men in the room, for now. We started running down the hallway, leaving the men and their guns behind. While I had no idea where we were going, it looked like Austin did because he took various turns and ran through a few doors, finally opening one which led us out the building and onto a very busy looking street.
Austin didn't waste any time and hopped on a bike and revved it. He looked at me, standing a few steps away, and raised his eyebrow expectantly.
I had two options at this point, either get on the bike or stay here and play hide and seek with scary men with guns, so it was obvious which one I picked.
I've never been good at hide and seek anyways.
Austin started driving at the speed of lightning the moment my pretty little butt was seated behind him, making me squeal and hold on to him.
My eyes were shut tightly, but it felt, and sounded, like Austin was wheezing through the traffic, if the angry honks and annoyed yells of drivers was anything to go by. I kept a tight grip on Austin's (well defined) torso till I felt him slow down, even then I refused to let go.
Finally, I opened my eyes when I felt the bike tilt slightly, which meant that Austin parked it. I looked around and saw that we were in a very dangerous looking neighbourhood. The streets were mostly empty, save for a few scary looking people walking in groups and spray-painting on the already graffitied walls of abandoned looking buildings. Dad and Janice would faint if they ever find out that I was in this kind of an area.
I may have gulped and/or whimpered.
While I was taking in my surroundings, Austin had already locked his bike and was walking towards a building. I was hesitant to follow but rushed after him when a group of boys, who were eyeing my outfit with particular interest, started coming towards me.
"Mind telling me where we are?" I asked when we entered the building.
Austin didn't spare me a glance as he walked up the old wooden stairs. "Shut the door," was all he said in a tense voice. I huffed in annoyance but did as he asked and carefully started climbing up the steps behind him.
The building was five storeys high, and I hate walking (or any sort of exercise, really), so you could imagine how tired I was when we reached the top floor.
Yeah, I was huffing and puffing like the wolf in that three little piggies' story. While Austin looked like he did this for passing time.
"Stupid fit people with their stupid muscles." I muttered under my breath as I leaned on the mouldy wall with ripped off wallpaper.
"What was that?" Austin asked me, without looking at me.
"Nothing, What's that?" I asked as I pushed myself off the wall and walked to him. I was still looking at the tablet, but from the corner of my eye I could see him inhaling deeply like he was trying to reel in his frustration.
I chose to ignore it.
"It's a map," He replied, while walking to the table.
"A map to..." I trailed off, raising my eyebrow at his back.
"Take these clothes and get changed. We're leaving in five," he said, completely ignoring my question and shoving some clothes in my hand.
I sighed, realising that he's not going to answer me. So, instead of arguing and wasting my breath, I walked into the bathroom and shut the door behind me.
As I took off my dress, or what was left of it, I realised that my family must be freaking out, and I couldn't even call them because I don't have my cellphone. I also didn't know where Will was, did the men who kidnapped me get to him as well? God, I hope not.
I shook my head and looked at the clothes Austin gave me. A lightwashed jeans and a floral strapless top. Well, I guess it'll have to do. With that thought, I quickly put on the clothes and walked out.
"Why do you always take so long to get things done?" Austin asked from the left of me.
I whipped my head to where he was standing and almost, almost, fainted.
Oh holy God of Mischief.
He had gotten rid of the white button-up shirt and black slacks and was now wearing only dark jeans. Now, I haven't had much experience with the male species and the only abs I saw were the ones on my laptop screen. So the sight of a real eight pack was enough to make my mouth as dry as a desert.
I almost whined in disappointment when he pulled on a white shirt. When he finally looked over at me, he did a double take and blinked. Clearing his throat, he picked up two duffel bags and walked over to me.
"There are some clothes and a phone in it. Now, come on, we'll miss our flight," he said while handing me one of the bags.
"F-flight? Flight to where?" I asked, still a little dazed. He sighed and walked to the door, opening it.
"To where the package is," he said, and looked up at me, "Spain."
