Last mission, commence! (Part 1) || Sasuke

The female species can be quite a handful to deal with, especially when angered.

"Sasuke Uchiha, you have a load of shit to explain."

And the male species isn't any better.

"I was worried about you,  you little dick." Hades glowered. "I have darker eye bags now because you." He pressed his fingers against the darkened patches of skin under his even darker eyes, which were much like mine, and pouted like someone who didn't already used to rule the underworld and commit mass murder.

I honestly didn't see any difference with his appearance.

"What happened to you? You look terrible." Persephone judged as she stared sadly at my ruined dress shirt; one of her favourites she'd told me before because it matched with the colour of my hair.

"I appreciate this kind welcoming, but I'm exhausted." They rolled their eyes at the vibe of my sarcasm, and in the dim lit room I could only feel my body grow drowsier by the minute.

"Let me fucking sleep." I say.

"So rude. Where's your please?"

"Excuse me? I'm your mother."

"Since when did you lose your manners, Sasu-cakes?"

"Stop." I groaned. Sakura came to mind; all of her. Her stupid words and stupid issues and stupid— "I already had to deal with her nagging. Stop pestering me."

"Her?" Hades' interest perked up. "Is it the person you've been with while you were gone?"

"..sort of." I cleared my throat. I did not want to have this talk. Not when all I want to do is get proper rest and stay bitching around about Sakura Haruno and her crappy hospitality. "Can I get some rest now—"

"Was it your ex? I thought you already broke up with her for your second last mission?" Persephone questioned. The other two gods leaned in, craving for more info about my whereabouts. It was unpleasantly invading my personal boundaries.

"No."

"Ohohoho, so was it some side-chick you found? Or a damsel in distress who couldn't help but fall for your charms?" Hades smirked. I honestly would hardly call Sakura anything near a damsel in distress, nor a side-chick. I rolled my eyes.

"You do know that you got those looks from me, right? Of course you got your charms from Persephone too but—" he was quick to add on. I sighed in exasperation, each ounce of patience I– surprisingly– still have leaving with the breath I so let out.

"I'm the one who gave birth to him. Stay in your lane, underdog." Mother clicked her tongue. She crossed her legs and she stared pointedly, almost like if she didn't I'd be right out of her sight.

Unblinking— her voice demanding— she said: "We've been worried and you didn't even bother notifying us through text. Who knows if you could've been killed. Where have you been this whole time, Sasuke Uchiha? Who was the girl you were with?"

At that point I would kindly like to point out that

1) I'm a demi-god. Psh, I couldn't have died that easily, no matter what situation they imagined I would so helplessly be in.

And 2) Sakura seemed to really be a topic that I couldn't help but find... frustrating. Any thought of her— from her cherry blossom pink hair to her mere reactions or expressions— would wretch its way into my heart, light a flame of anger, and replay an almost vivid memory of our recent argument.

A soothing baby pink quickly turned into a raging red. My hands curl, and I bit my lip as Mother's eyes continued to stare.

At that point I would ALSO like to add that I had lost all of my so called "patience".

"Look I didn't want to see her okay? God she's worse than last time. And she fucking ran me over with her fucking car for fucks sake. She's so different now and I don't ever want to see her again." I hissed.

Mother looked surprise. She blinked several times.

"What?" A choir of their voices asked.

"You think I'm playing around? Because I'm not. Why did I have to meet her again?" I huffed. Carbon dioxide tugged at my lungs.

"Don't tell me..." Mother's eyes widened. She finally got it. "It's her?"

"Of course it's her. Who else would it be." Bitter, my feet moved on its own; widening the distance from the three. I slammed my way into my small room, huffing.

The last thing I see is the concerned faces of the three.

The last thing I hear is a series of "Sasuke"'s.

The last thing I think is why the universe bothered to put her in my life again, knowing that in the end our reunion will be nothing short from disastrous.
