(Chapter Nine-Begging and Pleading)

Well, guess who's getting their insperation back by listening to Panic! At The Disco. How nice of them. Allowing me to write for you guys. Anywho. Enjoy.

"No"

"Oh come on. You're not making me go on my own. To a party. With people like a Jasper?" Sapphire asked teasingly.

"No, because you're not going either." Peridot stated.

"Why?" Sapphire sighed.

"Because this has danger written all over it." Peridot said, making her exuse.

"No it doesn't. Its orginized by Pearl, she wouldn't set this up just to prank me, of all people." Sapphire reasoned.

"My point exactly. Pearl."

Sapphire sighed, leaning back into one of Peridot's beanbag chairs. "Just because Pearl has always been your biggest compitition when it comes to academics doesn't mean she's a spiteful person. She's a goodie two shoes if anything. Like you."

"It does to. And I'd rather be a good kid than a slut." Peridot said crinkling her face. She pulled a pillow under her face to make herself more comfortable.

"A what now?" Peridot's mom asked as she peeked her head inside Peridot's green room.

Peridot rolled her eyes. "Nothing mom."

Her mom smirked in a teasing way. "Of course. What's this about a party I'm hearing?"

"Nothing mom" Peridot said again.

"I'm trying to get Peridot to come to a party with me. I got invited today, and just because it's hosted by Pearl she 'can't go'." Sapphire admited. Peridot glared slightly at Sapphire.

"Peri, you and I both know that's bullshit. Just go, for once. Have fun. All you do is sit inside. And if you get drunk or have sex with a stranger me and your mother will help you out. Ok?" She smirked. Knowing she was making her daughter feel akward.

Peridot's face went tomato red. "Fine, fine. I'll go, if you leave and make us food." Peridot agreed.

Sapphire giggled and reached up to highfive Peridot's mom, "Good going Idocrase."

Idocrase highfived her back, "I'll be right back with that food. Thulite was just going to make dinner anyway." She waved and walked out of the room.

Sapphire burst out into laughter, "I love your mom." Peridot's face was still red.

"Yeah, yeah. You got me going. Now what?" Peridot asked.

"Do you think you could sleepover at my house? I'd sleepover here, but I can't leave my dad overnight alone." Sapphire asked. Going to sit beside Peridot on her bed.

"Yeah sure, we can go after dinner. Alright?"

"Mhm."

"I can make pancakes? If thats what you want. We also have cheerios I think..." Sapphire said digging thought the pantry.

"Pancakes would be nice, honestly." Peridot said, sitting at the breakfast bar.

"Alright. Pancakes it is," Sapphire said pulling out the box with the pancake mix in it. She grabbed a mixing bowl and various other items to make the batter.

"So," Peridot said.

"So," Sapphire repeated as she started to add ingredients into the bowl.

"Do you like Ruby," Peridot asked. Sapphire paused. And looked up from the bowl she was mixing in. Her hair was back in a ponytail so no hair could get in her way while cooking. She even had her bangs pinned back. She felt comfortable enough around Peridot to not worry if she saw her odd eye. Which she used to make contact with Peridot own pair of eyes.

They started at each other for a minute before Sapphire put her head back down. "No."

Peridot sighed and leaned closer on the table, "I don't believe that one bit."

"Guess your instinct is wrong this time." Sapphire shrugged.

"No I'm right. I know it. You talk about her the most when telling me about your day. Your eyes linger on her a bit too long when she passes in the hallway. And you are always looking for her." Peridot said, boastfully.

Sapphire stopped stirring for a second, then continued, "What about you? Aren't you in love with Lapis? I mean, you ditched me to drive her to school yesterday. You always gotta sit or stand beside her. Its pretty obvious Peri. Even she knows."

"How do you know she knows!" Peridot asked standing up from her stool.

"Well. I don't exactly. But she has to know. Its not like you make it hard to figure out." Sapphire retaliated. She pulled out the pan and started pouring the batter onto it.

"And you make it pretty obvious you like Ruby!" Peridot half shouted, mindful of Sapphire's sleeping father.

"Alright. OK, I admit it. I have a crush on Ruby. Sue me. She's, just so brave and strong. I feel this way when I'm around her. My heart sores and I feel like I need to be there with her-for her. You know?" Sapphire admitted. Breathing a sight of relief.

Peridot was silent for a while. Long enough for Sapphire to finish four pancakes. Peridot nodded and agreed with her just as Sapphire put a plate of pancakes down in front of her.

"Never say a word about this conversation. OK?" Peridot reasoned.

"Wouldn't dream of it." Sapphire promised.

It was two hours away from when they were supposed to leave to get to the party. Lapis said she was coming on her own. And Cinna said she was coming with Milky. They did spend a lot of time with each other as of late. It was kinda cute, their relationship. But they were all kind of missing Cinna.

Peridot refused to put on makeup (aside from a bit of mascara) and to dress up. Even a little. She'd brought basically her entire closet with her, to make sure they could get a good enough outfit. Peridot figured jeans was enough. But based on what both Lapis and Cinna were wearing, something a tad more extravagant was in order. But in Peridot's normal fasion she refused to wear a dress or skirt. She didn't like how it fit on her body, and Sapphire was fine with that. Wearing a pair of nice jeans, a black shirt and a green scarf worked well enough. Peridot thought it looked a little akward on her, she was more used to brighter patterns throughout her entire body and not just a single centerpiece as the main focus.

Sapphire, however did wear a dress. She had a soft spot for them. It was blue (per-norm) that had small loopy flower details in white at the bottom. It was speghetti strapped so she wore a lighter blue cardiagen over it. She had a small amount of lipgloss on, just to make them shine, and fixed her hair. Placed over her eyes, as always and pulled back into a bun. A white bow placed over it. Peridot did nothing with her hair. Not even put it in her normal bun, she just spiked in up a bit in three points. One on each side and on the top of her head. As well as two bobbie pins to keep some bangs out of her face.

They both packed a bag so they were ready to leave when Angel's "Friends" came. They didn't want to be rushing, so keeping a small bag was nessisary. If they were coming anywhere from ten to eleven they only had around two hours to do anything. Considering the party started at eight. That was long enough for things to happen. But was still short, for a party anyway. Not that Sapphire had much experience in that department. Which was probably why she was basically freaking out as her and Peridot sat down in Peridot's car.

Clifhanger? I think so , yeah. But we're finally getting to the climax of this story!! Yay!! They're wont just be fricking filler chapters like bless. The plot is moving faster now omfg. I don't know if its annoying you guys as much as its annoying me.
