Finally Friday. Sapphire could tell because a different theme played on her alarm Fridays. She was glad she could finally go to school and be done for the week. Assuming that no one makes plans with her during the weekend. She still felt good about yesterday. Having everyone work so well first period, made her feel really good. As much as Sapphire wasn't too fond of people, she did like it when they got along.

She had showed last night, so she didn't have to worry about getting up too early to bathe. Sapphire had left clothes out for herself too, giving her the ability to just pull them on. Them being a pair of black leggings, a white shirt that went just past her bottom and a black belt that she fastened around her waist. Her hair was in a bun today, with a little white bow clipped on just above it.

As usually her face lacked makeup. Considering it was mostly pointless to out anything on, aside from lip stuff. So her morning routine was offer quick, allowing her to sleep in longer most days. But she did wake up a little earlier today for a reason. She pulled out one of her old sketch books and started planning the video.

She laid out the best room ideas and settings. Where they could go and other things of the sort. She's been gone from drawing in a while, and Lapis is much better, but she still got the message through. And in a cool black and white, artsy way.

She finished at least twenty different sketches, and got ready to leave the house. Peridot hadn't texted yet, and it was worrying Sapphire slightly. Sapphire started accidentally spamming her with a stream of question marks.

Peridot responded five minutes after the last text. She said that she couldn't pick Sapphire up today. No actual excuse as to why, just the comment of she can't. This meant Sapphire had to make the long walk to the school. Or take the city bus. She still did have her bus pass, so she might as well.

Sapphire grabbed her jacket, it was colder today, and her bag. She walked out the door turning the key to lock the door. The nurse wasn't coming today, Fridays and Sundays were her day off, so Sapphire had to lock the door. She dashed across the street so she could walk on the sidewalk.

The crisp air kept nipping at her exposed face. Making her cheeks turn pink as they flushed. She was thankful she decided on pants today instead of a skirt like she normally does. She wanted to wear heels today, but she settled on brown boots instead. They were better anyway.

It was quiet, and she was surprised to see a lack of people around. She supposed most of them got a ride. Like she would, if Peridot didn't bail. It wasn't too much longer to the right bus. And she hoped she had gotten the times right, knowing how unpredictable the bus company could be. Sapphire had gotten to the glass container with the bench inside, she pulled out a sweater and laid it onto the seat. She wasn't a germaphobe or anything, but the seats benches were pretty filthy.

If she remebered correctly the bus should be here in four minutes. Then there would be one stop, that went through the the other side of Sapphire's complex while still being on the way. It was the dirtier side of town, but it was fine enough. Then they would stop almost right outside her school. So she didn't have to walk for too far.

Next thing she knew the bus was pulling up aside her. Splashing the slightly melted snow and slush up as it did. The doors opened and Sapphire collected her sweater into her arms. She showed her bus ticket and wandered through the bus trying to find a seat. There was a set of two near the middle door. She sat down on the seat by the window and looked out. The bus driver started and the outside started moving faster, becoming a blur of green and blue.

The window was cold against her forehead and arm, but she didn't move. She was tempted to slip into a quick nap, but the realization she could miss her stop kept her awake (and a large bump that jerked her upward). They bus turned quickly, making her slam her face harder onto the window, she decided to stop leaning on it for now on. The sketchier side of her neighborhood started being in her line view. There was various peices of glass, ciggarettes and other vaired garbage skattered on the ground. Luckily she didn't have to walk on it.

They bus skidded to a stop, and two people walked onto the bus. Both paid the bus driver, and begun making their way down the isle. The shorter one made notice of the empty seat beside Sapphire, and pushed their was infrount of the second one. They slid to the seat before even noticing Sapphire. She glanced up and smirked slightly, "Hey, Sapphire, right? Is it cool if I sit here?"

Sapphire nodded softly, it was Amethyst. Someone in Ruby's group of friends. She was wearing ripped jeans and a white shirt under her purple jacket. There were small dirt smudges randomly on her outfit, which she didn't seem to notice nor care about. Her purple-dyed hair was in pigtails, with strands of hair falling out, making it very messy. But she managed to pull it all of flawlessly.

"Thanks, I hate standing. Especially since I'm pretty short its hard to reach the handle-thingies." There was a quite pause, that visually made Amethyst uncomfortable. She attempted to start a conversation, "Are you going to that party Pearl's throwing?"

"No, at least, I don't think I am," Sapphire responded, conflicted to whether or not she was invited or anything.

"How do you not know?" Amethsyt asked. She raised a leg and sat overtop of it.

"Well, multiple people have asked me if I'm going. And I think I'm going with Lapis. But she never actually asked me to go with her. And I don't think she was invited either." Sapphire clarified.

"Oh!" Amethyst said understanding, "Well, you can come as my guest. I wasn't going to invite anyone else. So you can take someone else with you if you want. Actually," Amethyst smirked, "Take as many people as you want with you."

Sapphire raised one hidden eyebrow, "Oh. Well, OK. I suppose I am going then."

"Thank goodness. Angel's been bugging to make sure certain people are coming. She's lucky she even convinced Pearl to let her come. As far as I know, she told a bunch of people to come later in the evening. So you might want to be ready to leave at like ten or eleven. If wild parties aren't your kind of thing." Amethyst smiled.

Sapphire smiled slightly, "Thanks for telling me." There was another short pause before Sapphire couldn't help but asking, "Is Ruby coming by any chance?"

Amethyst's grin grew to nothing short of one similar to the cheshire cat. Sapphire instantly begun to blush slightly. "Yeah. She's coming alright. Why'd you ask."

"No reason," She said calmly. Trying to hide her emotions and blushing features.

"Sure," Amethyst smirked tilting her head to get a better look at Sapphire. She opened her mouth to say something else, but the bus stopped again. They both stood and skitted off the vehicle. Amethyst smirked one more time, and waved goodbye at Sapphire. Sapphire waved back slightly and Amethyst ran over to the side of the school.

Sapphire was still pretty sure that didn't happen. While its been proven time and time again that Amethyst is the chillest of that group, and tends to be nicer to people; it was still slightly surprising that ordiel happened. Sapphire started shuffling toward the school, alone. It was weird for her honestly. She was so used to walking in with Peridot every day. She still wondered what made her not able to pick her up. Sapphire was actually pretty happy she didn't now. Because now she could go to a party. And she was making Peridot come with her.

As she begun walking to her locker she didn't see Cinna anywhere. Nor Lapis. No one from her friend group. She was just alone, walking to her locker. Well, not for long. To her extreme surprise, Pearl toddled up beside her. She made some comment about her thinking more of what their going to do for their project. Sapphire nodded along, and for once responded with her own ideas. Pearl wasn't as bad as she thought. She could actually be kinda funny. She giggled every once and while, and wasn't snarky or made a bird call. Sapphire even mentioned her sketches she did for the project. Pearl seemed very excited about that.

Sapphire shoved something in her locker, barely paying attention to what she was doing. And they started walking to the class. They walked to class together and sat beside eachother. And Sapphire was smiling the whole time.

"Wow! I didn't know you were this good at drawing!" Ruby exclaimed taking the book from the table Sapphire had placed it on.

"Yeah, this one has a lot of hidden talents." Lapis said sidedly. Sapphire shrugged slightly.

"Ok, so based on the plans Sapphire made, we can probably begin to place ourselves properally." Pearl said, always ready to get to buiness.

Ruby rolled her eyes, "One sec Pearl. I wanna look at all of them." Pealr nodded and leaned back.

"Alright. I guess you should know what we're doing." Pearl agreed. She shuffled her chair slightly to look over it with Ruby. Lapis did the same. Sapphire sat and watched their facial expressions. All had a mix of imazement and excitemet in them. Ruby's eyes were bright and shinning up in enthusiasm.

All too soon they reached the last page with doodles on them. And Pearl clapped her hands, "Alright, lets get to work!"

---------------

How many of you thought that was gonna be Ruby on the bus? I thought it was going ot be too but then it was Amethsyt. Whoops. Guess my hands want something different than my mind. Whatever, I like it better than whatever I could do with Ruby. Aside for some sad, sappy, emotional backstory moment. Lets save that for later, shall we :DDD

And sorry if the bus ride is inacurate. I've never been on a bus tbh ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Whatever, I think I did well enough. AAAAnyway thanks for reading!! Buuuye
