After Kiniro had gone with everyone to the Sanctuary to bring Kurai home and worked together with him and the Cinque Defenders to take down Abyss, they had witnessed Kai and his mates final battle with Aichi to bring him home and defeat Link Joker once and for all, bringing an end to the threat of the clan and any chances of Abyss returning again.

With everything brought to an end everyone had the events wiped away from their memories with the exception of Aichi, along with everyone Kiniro had fought alongside to defeat Abyss deciding to keep it a secret knowing that things were better left as they were.

Today was the day that everyone was meant to return to their own time as they could not remain in the past for long.

"I'm really gonna miss you Yudai, Izo. It was great to fight with you guys again" Kiniro had said smiling at the two "We were happy to lend a hand" Izo had said then looking to Yudai

Yudai nodded as he looked back to Kiniro "You helped us in our time so it was only right we return the favour" he had responded "It was good to meet with you two. Even if for the longest time we were enemies" Kurai said and Kiniro laughed sheepishly "Until the next time" Yudai said then walking through the time portal as Izo followed

Hikaru meanwhile had high fived Hiyama as he smiled at him. "It was awesome getting to know you Hiyama! Next time let's have a cardfight again!" he said as Hiyama had an anger mark appear on his head "Yeah, yeah and I'll win!" he boasted getting smacked on the head by Hitomi "You never shut your mouth do you" she complained causing Hiyama to whine

Nagito looked over to Kurai and then Katashi and nodded. "I appreciate your assistance in our cause. For that I thank you" he had said and Katashi "Well your work here is done after all, we all did what we could" he simply said smiling

Hedeyoshi looked to Nagito as their gaze met in that instant and the two nodded. "Next time we meet we'll fight" he said as Nagito grinned "That battle will belong to me"

With that the group of three from the future had walked in their own portal to their time as it would quickly close as the group had gone back to the four now gathered at the park it all began.

"So what happens for us now?" Hedeyoshi asked looking to the others

Kiniro and Kurai looked to each other and then back to Hikaru and Hedeyoshi. "We'll go to the card shop and have a cardfight of course"

With that said Kiniro had lead the way as he headed towards the cardshop in a dash as the others would follow and back at the park Clockwork and Tsukikage in their astral forms stood there looking to each other.

"The long battle is over for our vanguards at last" Tsukikage said with content "The young lord and Kurai can live their lives with peace of mind"

The two of them would then disappear to be at their partners sides as everyone had arrived to the card shop and were prepared to cardfight.

"Stand up (powerful) vanguard!" Kurai and Kiniro shouted in unison

With that short but sweet Epilogue that ends Missing Mate! I am proud of this book and it's predecessor Chrono Chronicles.

I hope those that continued to read even with my long hiatus' enjoyed the story and I thank everyone who read my books. I planned originally to follow this with a G-Era story, but since things are in the V Era now the next story I shall attempt for the characters I've built up for so many years in a new timeline of V-Series.
