To a lot of those that would read this here's a surprise! As a way of making up for my delay of chapters with this book I have decided to post up 2 chapters in 1 day.

Now this one might not be as long as Chapter 26 but it should be a nice short read after having much to take in from 26 and I hope you all enjoy this chapter as much as the last one.

As Kiniro had been running he soon arrived to a clearing that seemed like a meeting room and as he walked in the space looking around to find not just a few steps but would be greeted by a scenary that looked like outer space but he found there was no time to be amazed as seconds later footsteps could be heard from behind a throne as Kurai walked into view and Kiniro looked to him gripping his hand.

"So...you came all the way here..." Kurai said looking at Kiniro

Kiniro had nodded looking to Kurai as he thought back to their previous encounter but before he could let himself be sad he then had his mind trail off to the words that Tsukikage spoke.

"Thats right, I'm contacting you to tell you all that my vanguard did everything that he did...disappearing...leading the Cinque Defenders...was all because he is protecting you all from Abyss"

From knowing this Kiniro could understand part of the reason that Kurai did all this but he still didn't know why he thought to not ask for his help. As best friends they always supported each other no matter what, yet this time Kurai took on the task on his own which had pained him but left him concerned.

"Shade why did you do it?" Kiniro asked looking to his best friend

Kurai had kept a stern gaze as he looked to Kiniro seeming irritated before he would speak.

"I already told you-"

"Not that Shade! I want the truth, I'm your best friend. I know about Abyss..." Kiniro explained as he looked down to the floor

Hearing this Kurai was a bit taken off guard but then he sighed as he glanced away.

"Tsukikage did it, didn't he?" Kurai questioned as he could tell Tsukikage had contacted someone, that person being Kiniro

Kiniro looked back up to face Kurai nodding looking him showing no signs of hesitation as he placed a hand on his deck case.

"If you had told me it was Abyss I could have helped, we fought together to defeat him once we could do it again. It's what friends-"

"We are not friends Kiniro, I would think you would understand after last time" he said with a dark, yet subtly conflicted tone

Kiniro hearing what Kurai said shook his head in disbelief putting his foot down "I don't believe you!" he said in a loud voice

Kurai had looked to Kiniro as he said that and bites his lower lip lightly with irritation.

"You're being pathetic trying to cling to a friendship that didn't exist Kiniro" Kurai said grimly

Kurai then walked up to Kiniro and pulled out what seemed to be a deck box, but it wasn't his Spellbound Hex as it was his old deck shown by the slight signs of The Dark Dictator being contained inside the case.

"That deck..." Kiniro mumbled to himself

"Back then I only showed you the game to test out this deck. You're the one that misinterpreted it as a sign of friendship" Kurai explained with a low tone as he put the deck away

"But what you said back then, about an opponent becoming a friend" Kiniro said

"Only a way to get you to continue playing" Kurai lied

Kiniro saw through the lie as he shook his head looking to Kurai.

"No...I can tell you're lying" Kiniro stated

Kurai hearing that had gritted his teeth lightly as he did his best to keep his composure looking to Kiniro.

"And how would you know that huh? I left to keep Abyss in check alone because I wanted to get away from you. I had enough playing along with you thinking we were friends" Kurai continued

Kiniro hearing all this had tried to stay calm to not be sad as he kept what Tsukikage told him in his mind as he looked to Kurai with conviction in his gaze.

"I know that you're lying because Tsukikage...he told me you took on Abyss' sealing alone because you wanted to protect me!" Kiniro said

Kurai hearing this had tightened his fist as he then took out his Spellbound Hex deck and tome.

"Be quiet! It's clear now that there's only one way to get rid of you. I will sever what is left of the past right now!" Kurai said in a loud tone losing his composure for a second

Kiniro could tell from his reaction that what Tsukikage said was true, that Kurai kept him out of what happened because he wanted to protect him. But he knew the only way to get Kurai to admit it was to win in a card fight against him as he took out his deck.

"This time I'll get you back Shade" Kiniro said with conviction

"The Magical Creatures that wonder the Earth gather together to bring about a curse, that protects from others, Cursed Ruin Prison" Kurai announced

The book morphed into a magical circle which covered itself over the area and transformed it into a black abandoned ruin with destroyed pillars and ancient language engraved in the walls with stone statues of magicians behind the two fighters and two fight tables made of magic appear in front of the fighters and they placed their starters gazing at each other as they drew their starting hands.

'I'll save you Shade' Kiniro thought as he was resolved to help Kurai
