"Hmm.. may mga ngiti sa labi. Natutulala, at ilang araw nang lutang. Kayo na ni Bright 'no?"

Agad akong napaigkas at hinarap si Aila na nasa tabi ko. May nakakalokong ngiti sa kaniya mukha. At itinataas-baba pa ang kaniyang mga kilay habang nakahalumbaba.

Napabuntong hininga ako. "Gaga hindi." Sagot ko at tinaas lang ako ng kilay ni Aila.

"Asus sus sus! Naku Xaviana, kilala ka namin. 'Yang ganiyang ngiti mo. 'Yang mata mo parang kumikislap. In love kana gaga." She said before jumping out of my bed.

I sigh and shake my head before turning back my attention to my laptop.

Now where was I?

Napakagat ako sa pang-ibaba kong labi bago nag-angat ng tingin at inilibot sa paligid.

"Yen.." Tawag ko dito. Nilingon niya ako at pinagtaasan ng pareho niyang kilay.

"Bakit?" Tanong niya.

"Ipapasa daw kay maam thru email diba?" I ask. Tiningnan nito ang ginagawa niya at tumango.

"Oo, ang daming alam ni Maam. Pwede naman na messenger nalang." Ani nito, napatawa ako ng pagak bago tumango.

"Sige salamat." I said before sending my work to our teacher.

Once I sent it, I checked if nabubuksan ba ito. Wala naman ako nakitang problema sa ginawa ko kaya nakahinga na ako ng maluwag. 3 araw ko nang ginagawa ang project na 'to. Walang katapusang research.

"Xavi may natawag sa phone mo." Pagkasara ko ng laptop ko ay agad kong dinukwang ang phone ko na nasa tabi ni Arven.

Napakunot ang noo ko nang makita kung sino ang tumatawag.

Ano kaya ang naisipan ng lalaking ito at tumawag?

"Bakit ka tumawag?" Bungad ko dito.

Narinig ko itong tumawa at lalong napakunot ang noo ko. Pinagti-tripan ba ako ng kumag na 'to?!

Humagalpak naman ito ng tawa.

"Ay buang." Bulong ko. Nakita kong lumingon si Aila at Arven na mag naguguluhang expression sa mukha.

[Busy ka?] Tanong niya.

Napabuntong hininga naman ako. "Hindi, bakit?" Tanong ko.

[Kailan ka uuwi?] Tanong niya ulit. Tumingin ako sa pader at inisip kung ilang linggo na akong hindi umuuwi.

"Next week siguro, bakit?" Tanong ko.

Narinig kong sumaltik ang dila nito. [Ah sige, wala naman.] Napakunot ang noo ko nang marinig kong namatay ang tawag.

"Pinatayan ako ng tawag." Naguguluhan kong turan habang hawak-hawak ang cellphone ko.

Nagkatinginan si Arven at Aila. "Tawagan mo ulit." Ani ni Aila. Nag-isip muna ako, may topak ba ang lalaking iyon at basta-basta nalang tumawag.

May sasabihin 'yon eh. Hindi naman pwede na 'yun lang 'yun.

Inilapit ko sa akin ang akong cellphone at tinawagan ito.

Ilang ring ay sumagot na ito.

[Busy ako, kausap ko crush ko.] Bungad nito sa 'kin sa walang kabuhay-buhay na boses at napa-irap naman ako.

"Tigilan mo 'ko, sabihin  ako naman girl best friend mo. I had you first so shut up. So as i was saying, bakit ko tumawag kanina? Cuz basically hindi lang 'yon 'yung sasabihin mo." I said and I hear Aila and Arven laugh.

Totoo naman, we know each other since we are in diapers. Magkakilala ang mga magulang namin and it happens that we went on the same pre-school and elementary. Nung high school lang kami nagkahiwalay. Pero we still keep in touch, gaya ng sabi ko, we would always hang out at his house.

All of them three chuckled. I just sigh and fix my hair. I put my laptop away before getting ready for shower. After I take my evening body wash I just lay down on my bed.

Until I felt a tap on my arm. "Diba exams week na next next week?" Yen ask.. I look at my phone calendar and nod.

"Yup.. why?" I ask and Yen just shake her head.

"Nagtatanong lang." She said before leaving my side. Them three leave to eat dinner while I stay on my bed.

When suddenly a notification pop up on my screen and my eyes immediately widened. My heart started beating fast and I sat up on my bed.

I take a deep breath after I read his message. We've been talking for almost a week now and his messages just always make me blush and flattered.
