Robin hung his head and followed behind him. He knew what was coming now. A punishment and a shot.

Chapter 7-A Horrible Truth

Robin slowly brought his sleeve up while slade prepared the shot. Slow and silent tears began to stream one by one down robin's face. He knew he was too far gone to return to his heroic stature, but he also knew he was about to lose the thing he held most dear. His humanity and his friends. At the same moment slade turned around the wall collapsed pinning him under for the time being.

"Titans booyah!" Cyborg yells as the smoke clears.

The titans rush over to robin. With concerned yet angry looks.

"Don't think we're helping you man, you joined them!" BB said the last part more of a hiss than words.

"Friend robin we wish for you to explain of the reasons." Starfire added in.

"Look guys. It's not like I wanted to. If I had it my way I'd be a statue by now. But it was either give in and save you or refuse and be forced to watch you die and join them. Either way I'd be stuck on their side." Robin explained.

The titans seemed to accept that answer. Raven picked up the syringe with her magic. And came over to the group.

"What's this?" She asked.

"Not sure, but slade planned to finish what he started with it." Robin answered.

"If we can get back to the T tower it's should should protect us. There we can trace the serum and find out what is is." Cyborg offered.

"Alright. I'll contact Batman and the rest of the JLA so they know we're alright. After I change out of this stupid thing first." Robin said gesturing to the apprentice uniform.

"One more thing.....Titans booyah?" Robin asked.

"You say go, I say booyah." Cyborg answered cheekily.

As the titans made their way back and into the T tower, slade watched from where he was lying. "That's right robin, run to Batman. Let him watch as I drag you back. You will be brought back. One way or the other....."

As the titans got into the main room of the T tower robin turned to the bedrooms hallway Robin was about to go and get changed when the titans stopped him.

"Robin there's no time. Worry about your outfit later. I know you hate slade but we need every second we can get." Raven said.

Robin nodded begrudgedly and made his way over to the T computer. He dialled the JLA and waited.

-JLA-
"Incoming call. It's from the titans!" Superman yelled.

"Answer it." Batman said faster and Han anyone could blink.

Superman pressed the answer button. A picture of robin with his team behind him popped up. Something was off however. It wasn't beast boy or cyborg on the right or raven or starfire in the left. Oh no. It was robin.

"Is everything alright down there?" Superman asked.

Robin nodded. "Trigon wanted a few puppets to play with but we were able to escape. The towers defences kept his second wave from effecting any of us but we're going to have to stay in the tower to avoid anymore." Robin confirmed.

"We have one slight issue however. Slade decided to team up with trigon." Raven notified.

"Slade?" Batman asked.

"Dude! Robin never told you?" BB said astounded.

"He didn't need to know beast boy. I'll send you my file. You can look over it." Robin said as his fingers flew across the keyboard.

Batman looked at robin a little closer. "Where is your Robin costume? That isn't your outfit." Batman said.

"I didn't have time to change from trigon and slade's little game." He said nonchalant as he finished sending over the file.

"File received." Superman said as he opened it.

Batman looked over one of the images and shot out his seat effectively knocking it and the table he was sitting at over.

"Something wrong Batman?" Wonder Woman asked from behind him.

"It seems deathstroke has a new name." Batman hissed. "Robin don't go near him, he's extremely dangerous." Batman said firmly.

"Sorry Batman, but it too late for that." beast boy informed.

"What do you mean!?" Batman remarked.

"Short or long answer. Never mind I'll give you short for the sake of time. Slade or as you say he's known deathstroke seems to be obsessed with making robin his apprentice. He got away with it once and now a second time. We got Robin out of both situations but we don't know if slade will come after him again." Cyborg said.

"That explains why he's wearing his colours. Why didn't yo- robin look out!" Batman yelled as slade picked Robin up from behind.

"Guess I spoke too soon." Cyborg growled.

"Leggo! I'm not your damn apprentice you psycho!" Robin yelled with slight hysteria.

"Robin calm down!" Batman yelled.

"oh you very much are." Slade said as he pulled out the syringe from earlier.

"Dude! How did you find that!? We had it locked up for testing!" BB yelled.

Slade paid no attention to the four teens and put the syringe in the right spot making sure not to hit the wrong spot of robins neck and kill him. He pushed the syringe contents out and robin fell limp in his arms.

"Whatdidhedotorobin!? What's in that syringe!?" Batman said extremely fast and extremely worried.

"Oh it just a little XST17 mixed with T14." Slade said smirking under his mask.

"Slade, you used a highly experimentally drug mix that killed millions of soldiers during its testing on a 14 year old boy!?" Batman yelled.

"Friend robin cannot do the dying! I will not allow him to." Starfire yelled.

The entire justice league watched along with the titans as Batman began to shake with rage. Slade seemed to be satisfied with what he had done.

"Slade whatever you've done to my son, you better undo now!" Batman seethed.

"Not likely. He is mine!" Slade growled.

"No he isn't!" Batman yelled back.

Slade just laughed and started to walk away. Robin carefully placed over his shoulder. No one distinctively noticed until they watched him slip out the window.

"DICK! NO!" Batman yelled, arm stretched out as he fell.

"Batman!" Superman yelled catching him.

"Dick..." he whispered.

"Damn it. Diana! Get him out of here now! Titans we're coming down there!" Superman yelled as the connection was cut off.

The titans waited as the JLA got there no more than 5 minutes later.

Batman looked at every titan. He grabbed the closest titan (who happened to be beast boy) by the collar and slammed him into the wall "why didn't any of you do anything!?" He asked slamming poor B.B. into the wall again.

"Poor beast boy. That's gotta hurt." Raven mumbled.

"The only one out of any of us who can actually last in a fight with Slade is robin. We can't even beat Slade's stupid robots as easily as robin can. Robin took out an entire fleet of those things in about 2 minutes flat if not less!" BB yelled as Batman let him go.

"Guess we know where robins anger issues come from." Raven said.

"We have to figure out how to get Robin back." Green lantern but in.

Wonder Woman, Flash, Martian manhunter, Aqua man and superman all nodded in agreement. The titans also nodded slowly one by one.

They gathered around the T computer and Began to compile their plan.

Robin slept peacefully as Slade continued to type out his progression.

"He hasn't died yet, so I am safe to assume he is a match for the serum. Good." Slade mumbled.

He turned around as robin slowly and groggily sat up. Robin looked around before his eyes landed in Slade. Making no distinction in what he was going to do robin stood up and walked over.

"What did you do to me?" Robin hissed as he watched the screen.

"I've told you before haven't I?" Slade smirked.

"No! Why would you do that!" Robin screamed.

"Just be glad your alive boy, that serum killed thousands of men." Slade hissed.

"Whatever." Robin huffed as he decided to give up.

At this point robin didn't care. He was stuck being an apprentice to worlds greatest Assassin weather he liked it or not. Less people would be hurt because of him this way anyway.......
