Paisley POV_*

I woke up to see my mom crying.

"Mom? Are you ok? Dont cry. Im fine."

My mom ran to my hospital bed and grabbed me into a breath yanking hug.

"Oh my little bunny. I was so worried about you. You were out for 4 days. The doctors said you are ok to go home tomorrow"

I felt my moms tears dampen my hospital robe.

I smiled at the nickname. My mom nicknamed me bunny because when I was a baby I used to bring my hands to my face and open my mouth showing my two front teeth.

Then all the memories from last night flooded back to me.

Jayden.

I pulled back and looked at my moms blood shot eyes that matched my own.

"Mom where's Jayden?"

My mom let a tear run down her cheek.

"Im so sorry baby."

I sat there paralyzed.

Jayden. He was gone. It wasnt a bad dream. He died.

I started sobbing.

My mom held me quietly sobbing.

"Does his mom know?"

"Yes . She came to see him but she came 5 minutes too late. He had already died when she got here. She cried all night they came to see you. She cried more because she saw how happy Jayden was with you. She loved seeing you two together."

I felt as if I was being stabbed in the chest.

I know it sounds cheesy but I felt as if a piece of me died with him. He was my everything. He made me smile when I cried for my dad. He made me laugh when I thought everything in life was over. He was my anchor that held me sane since my dad passed. Now I dont know what to think. He was gone when I needed him the most.

I felt empty.

"Mom? What do I do without him? What happens now?"

She held me face in her hands and looked me in the eyes.

"You will be strong. You will do what he wanted you to do. He wanted you to never stop smiling even in your darkest times. He wanted you to never stop laughing. He wanted you happy.
And he will be with your father in heaven looking after you. Ok?"

I smiled weakly and nodded.

"Are they having a funeral for him?"

"They are going to have it in 2 days."

"I want to go."

"Paisley. I dont think you are-"

"Mom. I love him. Please. I need to be there."

My mom nodded and smiled.

"Ok. We can talk about this tomorrow but for now get some sleep you need rest. Ill be here tonight and tomorrow morning we will leave."

I nodded and laid back down not realizing how exhausted my body was until my head hit the pillow.

I let my eyes close and I thought for a while wishing I could hear and see Jayden one last time.
