About an hour after the question had occurred, Sherlock's phone started ringing. He recognized the number.

"It's her!" He said.

Jim jumped up and ran over the table.

"Answer it then." Molly said.

"Put it on speaker, please." Jim begged.

Sherlock answered the phone, and as asked, he put it on speaker.

* "Hello?"

"Hi Sherlock, I don't have long, but I really needed to speak to you."

"Okay, Sarah, we've just got back from looking for you, we're heading out for you again tomorrow."

"No"

"No?"

"Sherlock, I mean, You can't push something to be real. Dream are like buildings, if there isn't anything there to support it, the its going to fall, leaving more to clean up than what you can handle, and you'll break down. If you hope for something, chances are, it isn't going to happen. The more you push it, the less likely it's going to come true, and the more heartbroken you're going to be, I don't want you to get hurt because of me, Sorry to be blunt, But that's the truth, that's life"

"What, I don't understand?"

"I guess, What i'm trying to say is, Give up, you and Jim, just give up looking, you're never going to find me, The game, Sherlock, is over"

"Don't say that, the game is never over, my dear, has only just begun. The game, Sarah, is on"

"Please Sherlock, don't make this harder than what it has to be."

"I'm not."

"You kinda are, Please Sherlock, give it up."

"No"

"Why?"

Because it was in that moment, Sherlock realized, why he was so upset, why he cared as much as he did. Why it effected him so much.

"Sherlock?"

"I choose you"*

Then the line went dead.
