Noah's P.O.V.

"How can you be just fine with your husband loving someone else and not you?", I asked with annoyance in my voice and she passed me a knowing smile.

"That's something personal, I don't think I would be comfortable sharing with you", Eva said.

"But, I...", I paused and thought that she's partly right though. I can't force her to tell me about her personal life. We're strangers in fact.

"Fine, I understand but I just can't take this thing out of my head", I said with a sigh.

Why am I so affected by her life? Get a grip on yourself Noah, I said to myself.

She looked at her hands on her lap and said, "Eric and I are childhood friends. Our family married us for a stupid business deal, but Eric wanted to marry Sarah. His dad forced him to marry me or else he'll be thrown out of his will, so we married and shifted to London", I glanced at her but she kept her gaze down.

"We've filed a divorce now and soon we'll be no longer husband and wife and he'll marry Sarah", she said and then looked at me. I still felt that she's hiding a lot of things from me but I didn't dig much.

"Are you okay with this?", I asked and she gave me a smile which was not even reaching her eyes.

"I've to go now, Mr Orchid", she said and I just nodded.

After Eva left, I kept thinking about her only. How is she handling this? She seems always so cheerful and happy, then does it mean that she doesn't care about her marriage But if she doesn't give a damn about Eric then why her eyes were sad?

God, what's wrong with me? She is just an assistant of mine, that's it. Whatever she does in her life is her problem, not mine. Why the hell is she bothering me so much?

It had been two days and Eva had been quieter in these past two days. She just came into my cabin, do her job and then left. That unusual chatterbox she used to seem like a dream to me.

Today, I called her in my cabin. She came inside and stand in front of me with a notepad.

"You called me sir?", She asked and I nodded.

"Yes, you've to go today to meet Kyle Stephan's. I've told the driver to take you to his office. So, you just go now and meet him and whatever he ask or say, just note it down. And, do take my schedule list also", I said and she just nodded.

I gave a nod asking her to dismiss but when she didn't leave the room, I glanced up from my laptop and arched my eyebrows at her.

"Do you want to say anything?", I asked and she nodded.

"Actually, I need a holiday for tomorrow", she said.

"May I know the reason?", I asked.

"Tomorrow is my first hearing of div.. my divorce proceedings", she said stuttering at word divorce.

"Ok, you can take a leave", I said and she left. I sighed looking at her retreating figure.

Would she be able to handle herself alone? I thought.

I called Kyle and told her about Eva and he agreed. I dialled Aria's number after talking to Kyle as we've to go for dinner today. I guess I need to discuss this Eva matter with her.

"Hey Noah", she said chirping.

"Hey. What are you doing?", I asked.

"Nothing, just getting ready for dinner date", she said.

"Okie, see you there then", I said and hung up. Why am I feeling restless? Is something wrong going to happen somewhere?

I was getting ready for my dinner date with Aria. I wore a black shirt and pair it with brown jeans. I prefer the casual look.

I heard doorbell rang, so I moved out of my bedroom and saw my maid opened the door. She was talking to someone and then let the guest inside. Eva came inside with a frown on her face and roamed her eyes everywhere until she spots me.

"You, Mr Stupid orchid, why did you do this to me?", She said coming towards me angrily and poked her finger inside my chest. Although she was trying hard to look dangerous but I found her cute, still I tried not to smile.

"What did I do?", I asked.

"You and your stupid friend Kyle Stephan's, that monkey. Why did you send me to meet that moron?", She asked folding her hands across her chest.

"Care to enlighten Eva, what happened?", I asked with a sigh.

She pouted angrily and then plonked on the couch and said in a dramatic tone, "Can an angry girl get a glass of water?", I signalled my maid who was still standing there to go and fetch a glass of water.

Though I was happy to see Eva like this. Her old form is back again!!

After drinking the whole glass of water in one go she decided to spoke. I also sat down next to her and waited patiently for her to start.

"That stupid Kyle Stephan's is a hell of a bad boy. The time I entered his cabin, he started flirting with me. Can you believe it? He didn't talk a bit about the meeting but asked me a lot a lot of questions. Oh, he's so talkative, I tell you. I wonder how can one talk so much without even having a break?", She said and I just listened.

Just look who's talking? Miss. Talking torrent is pointing out others.

A smile formed on my lips and she stopped ranting about seeing me and narrowed her eyes at me, "Am I telling you a joke?".

"No, you're not. I found you cute when you're all angry", I said and she huffed.

"I'm telling you Mr Orchid, I'm not going to meet that stupid boy ever. I've stopped myself from not punching him but next time I'll make him see stars in the daylight", she said and I just saw her with amusement.

"I'll talk to Kyle about it and I'm sorry from his side", I said.

"Oh, don't be. He'll not see me next time", she said.

"And how can be you so sure?", I asked.

"Well, I'm leaving this place foreev-", she said but then stopped in between and gaped after realising that she wasn't supposed to say this.

"Pardon me!", I exclaimed.

"Umm.. I.. actually was going to tell you about this", she said smiling nervously.

"I'm listening", I said with a serious face.

"Please find another assistant for you, I'm quitting", she said taking out a letter from her bag and handed it to me. I opened the letter and it was a resignation letter.

Eva's P.O.V.

I saw him looking at me and then at the appointment letter. I noticed anger building up in him because his clenched teeth explain everything.

"I'm sorry, I know I've no right to make all the decisions by myself but I have a lot to deal with and I'm unable to think properly", I replied and he just nodded. I saw his emotions getting soft and I just smiled.

Noah Calvin aka Mr Orchid is a nice person. He's a mature and intelligent boy and no wonder he's also hot that's why he has so much fan following but on the top he has a golden heart. I appreciate his professionalism that he doesn't bug me much about my life and give me space.

Although I'm still surprised that a boy like him can love someone like Aria then I'm no one to comment on anyone's personal life. When he finds out about Eric and Sarah, I was caught off guard.

He brought me to the bitter reality that Eric and I had no future together. In last few months, Eric had spent a lot of quality time with me as friend of course but I can't stop loving him and be having a small hope in back of my mind that maybe miracle happens and Sarah found someone else and she left Eric for me, because I love him, I love him since childhood but Noah brought the reality to my face again.

I decided to finish this nameless relationship and move on in my life and would go back to my hometown. This new place, new people, new surroundings just frightened me because Eric wouldn't be with me for always and I can't live alone all by myself in this strange place with strangers.

"So, when are you leaving?", Noah asked me with a stoic face.

"Umm, maybe next month", I said.

"How long have been you married to Eric? And would his dad allow him to divorce you? What about your dad?", He asked.

"We are married for one year and two months. And our parents won't mind", I said.

They didn't give a damn weather am I living or not, I thought.

"Ok, it's your life. I'm no one to comment but if you want, then you can stay here also and continue the job because you'll need a job to survive", he said.

"I can't live here. It's a strange place for me with so many unknown people", I said and he nodded.

"I understand, you need someone to make you feel safe", he said with his beautiful smile showing his dimples and it touched my heart that he paid attention to my words. I respect him even more now.

"You're a nice person, Mr Orchid", I said and he smiled back.

"And you're a beautiful person inside out Miss. Stranger", he said and I smiled back.

His phone rang in meantime and he picked up the call.

"Hello", he said.

"Yeah, I'm on my way", he said looking at me and I took it as my cue to leave his place.

I got up from my seat and he followed me. I walked over to the door whilst he was still on his phone talking to someone. I mouthed him 'Bye' and walked towards the door but then all of a sudden my head started spinning. I was about to fall but someone holds me by my shoulder from behind.

I soon compose myself and saw Noah looking at me with concern. I saw worry for me in his eyes.

"Are you ok?", He asked.

"I'll be fine", I said.

"Let me drop you at your home", he said and I nodded. I've not eaten much in last few days, I guess I've to eat properly tonight.

We both sat in his car and he dropped me at my place and after biding him 'Bye', I came to my home. I made a nice dinner for me to pamper myself and played soft music.

I always followed my Nana's advice, she used to say that One should Love oneself, there are people outside to hate you, so at least you can love yourself. I can't wait to go back to my Nana's place.

After having my dinner, I moved to my room and started searching for jobs in America near my hometown. I did apply some forms and then turned off my laptop. I started reading novels only when my mobile flashed on with an unknown number.

"Who could be calling me now?", I said to no one in particular.

"Hello", I said.

"Missed me?", A manly voice greeted me.

"No", I said replying sassily.

"Gosh, I like you", he again said.

"May I know the name of my fan", I asked.

"It's Kyle Stephan's, babe", he said and I rolled my eyes.

"You? Why are you calling me? How did you get my number in the first place?", I asked.

"I've my own source. I've called you to ask you out for a coffee with me", he said.

"I'm married", I replied.

"And are about to get divorced, I know that", he said and my eyes go wide. How did he know that? Did Noah tell him?

As if he heard my unsaid question so he again said, "Sarah is my one of good friends also". I left out a sigh of relief.

"Ok, then meet you tomorrow for coffee, I'll pick you from Noah's office", he said and hung up.

Why Mr Orchid? Only if you hadn't sent me to this stupid boy's place, I would've been prevented from him!!
