Twenty Seven
The loud ring of his alarm jolted him awake before Jungkook slapped his screen, hearing peace and quiet. He fluttered his eyes open seeing the sun break it way through the curtains. Slowly waking up he remembered what today was, he was going to the beach house with his girlfriend and they were going to have loads of fun. He sat up and got out of bed yawning loudly as he rubbed his eyes, finding his change of clothes for the day.
His phone vibrated and Jungkook smiled knowing it was his girlfriend sending a good morning text. He quickly responded before heading to the bathroom to brush his teeth. Jungkook's eyes widened as he saw his hair in the mirror, wetting his hand he ran them through his hair. The humidity was getting to his hair and he was already past due for a haircut (But at this rate Hyunji would fend off anyone that came near him with scissors). There was only one option, rummage through the closet and steal some of Yuri's hair product, again.
"Bro, can you hurry up?" Jimin violently knocked on the door.
Jungkook rolled his eyes and opened the door.
"You've starred in the mirror long enough. Tae is ready to go to Hyunji's driveway and get her luggage and stuff."
"You're just trying to get me out."
__________
Jungkook got out of the car as he saw Hyunji open the front door. She pulled behind her a purple suitcase and then a much smaller black suitcase.
"Hey, I missed my babygirl!" He grinned.
"My mom is home!" She shushed him. "But I missed you too."
"You need two suitcases?"
"The little one is for Jay. He needs his food, bowls, and his ball."
Jungkook chuckled, picking up the suitcases for her and carrying them over to the SUV. Hyunji put a mat over Taehyung's backseat as her boyfriend put her luggage into the trunk, which didn't go unnoticed by Hyunji's mom.
"I'm gonna grab Jay and then I'm ready to go." Hyunji said.
"No rush, Jimin and Yuri aren't ready yet." Taehyung spoke.
She nodded and went back in the house seeing her mom holding up her phone charger.
"If you forgot this you'd die." Her mom chuckled, handing it to her.
Hyunji grinned, taking the charger and putting it in her purse.
"I'll text you when I get there." Hyunji told her mom. "Tae and Jungkook are waiting for us."
"Your not riding with Yuri?" She questioned.
fuck.
"Tae's backseat has more room for Jay."
"Mhm."
Hyunji whistled and Jay quickly came trotting down the hallway as they made their way to the door. Hyunji felt a nervous tingle in her stomach as she knew her mother and Jungkook would be in the same proximity. Of course her mother knew nothing of their relationship but even the thought made her fearful.
"Have a good time, honey." Her mom smiled.
"I will."
Maybe too much fun.
Hyunji hugged her mom tightly before striding out the door. Excited for their little vacation as she grinned seeing Jungkook get out of the car. He opened the backseat for her and she chuckled.
"I'm sitting in the front." Hyunji looked at him.
"ExCuSe Me." He rolled his eyes, opening the other door. "We can switch half time when we stop for a break."
Hyunji got in and said hi to Taehyung as Jungkook tried to get comfortable in the backseat with Jay panting in his face.
"Oof, you need a mint." Jungkook muttered under his breath.
"Alright, let's get this show on the road kids." Tae pulled out of Hyunji's drivewave.
"So you told your parents right?" Jungkook made eye contact with his cousin through the rearview-mirror.
"Yes. They know you and Hyunji are an item." He unenthusiastically said, after being forced to tell them so Jungkook and Hyunji didn't have to sneak around the entire time.
"But they know not to mention it to my parents right?" Hyunji asked.
"Yes."
"Ok good."
______________
After two hours of driving they all needed to get out and stretch while they stopped at the convenience store. Hyunji handed Jungkook Jay's leash to put on him before he let him out of the car.
"I'm gonna walk him in the grass." Hyunji told Jungkook as she took the leash
Out of his hand.
"Okay. Do you want me to get you anything?" Jungkook asked.
"I'll be inside in a second."
Hyunji walked Jay away from the parking lot and towards the patch of grass. Jay quickly got distracted looking at Jungkook entering the shop before observing the cars passing ahead.
"C'mon go to the bathroom, you're gonna be stuck in the car for a while." Hyunji said as they walked around aimlessly in the area of grass.
A few minutes later and Taehyung walking out of the store was the one pulling Jay's attention away from doing his business. Jay began pulling Hyunji towards Tae making Taehyung walk over towards them.
"I got him. You can go inside and get something to eat real quick." Taehyung offered while sipping on an iced coffee.
"Thank you." Hyunji eagerly handed him the leash. "Please try and get him to pee."
"Umm, ok."
Hyunji jogged towards the entrance and walked inside looking around for her boyfriend. Looking through the aisles she found him holding a few items in his hands, one of them being her favorite iced tea.
"Hey princess. What do you want to eat?" He asked while scanning through the selection of chips.
"I don't wanna take too long but I was craving Tteokboki. . ." Hyunji said.
"My aunt and uncle left 20 minutes after us, we're in no rush. I'll get you some."
"Thank you, Kook."
Jungkook heard Hyunji loudly gasp and quickly turned his head to look at her.
"What's wrong?" He asked, seeing her looking in the other direction.
"That baby is so cute!" She couldn't keep her eyes off of the baby in the next aisle.
Hyunji's boyfriend chuckled in response. The baby waved at Hyunji while still holding onto his mothers hand, only melting Hyunji's heart even more.
"Isn't he adorable?" Hyunji turned and looked at Jungkook, her eyes sparkling.
"He is." Jungkook smiled, "Stop staring so hard, it looks like you're going to kidnap him."
"Fine!"
Jungkook grabbed a bag of chips and exited the aisle, Hyunji following behind him.
"Do we need condoms?" Hyunji whispered.
Jungkook breathed out a chuckle, a grin spreading across his lips as he looked over his shoulder to his girlfriend.
"Oh sweetie, I came prepared."
___________
Taehyung pulled into the driveway of the beach house grinning as he turned off the car.
"We get first dibs on rooms!" Taehyung took out his seatbelt.
"How many rooms are there?" Jungkook asked.
"Not including the master bedroom there's four bedrooms upstairs."
"So your parents are fine with me and Kook sharing a room?" Hyunji questioned.
"Yeah, you know their chill."
Hyunji got out of the car and looked around taking in the fresh salty air. Jay sniffed around the front yard while they got the luggage out of the car. Eager to get settled they soon found themselves in the rooms they would be staying in the next few days.
Jungkook pushed Hyunji's suitcase to the side and put his book bag next to it.
"I like it, it's cute." She smiled looking at the room.
He sat on the bed while Hyunji opened the door that led into the shared bathroom. After taking a quick peak she turned around and saw Jungkook bouncing on the bed peculiarly.
"What are you doing?" She raised her eyebrow.
"I'm testing the creakyness of the headboard." He said as if it was a normal thing to do. "I'm debating whether I should convince Jimin to sleep in the next room or if it won't matter. In the dorms he lives in he's used to it. Yuri already says we have to pay for her therapy so wouldn't want to further traumatize her."
"And what's your conclusion?"
"It's better than yours, the headboard seems pretty strong."
She shook her head laughing at him. "You're something else."
"Speaking of sex, uh, you said I can be open and tell you how I feel about. . . stuff, right?" Hyunji sat next to him on the bed.
His heartbeat raced and he panicked inside.
"Shit! You're not cumming are you?" He blurted out.
"No, no it's not that, you're doing fine in that department. I just want you to know you don't have to be so. . . . soft."
"Soft? I wouldn't say soft- I'd say gentle."
"It's not a bad thing, Jungkook! I'm just saying sometimes I want to fuck fuck. You don't have to be gentle with me all the time."
"Noted." He nodded his head. "Is everything else okay?"
His palms got sweaty as he looked at Hyunji with worry in his eyes.
"Yes, Jungkook! I didn't want to say anything because I knew you would panic." She grabbed his hand reassuring him.
"I just want to make sure I'm pleasing you, babe, that's really important to me."
"I love how caring you are and how you always put me first. You're great at sex and you have nothing to worry about okay?"
She leaned in and kissed him softly.
The past few times they've fooled around under the sheets were of course enjoyable, but Hyunji could tell he was being cautious with her. She was comfortable enough for him to take it to the next level. Hyunji always appreciated how he put her comfort first, but Jungkook also underestimated her.
"I'll show you a good time later." He kept eye contact, a hint of lust in his eyes while he smirked.
And now she wanted him at that very moment.
__________
Hyunji swam over to Jungkook in the pool and grabbed onto his shoulder to hold onto him.
"I'm gonna get out and help with food." Hyunji said, pushing some hair out of his face.
"Ok baby." He smiled, gazing into her eyes.
She let go of him and swam over towards the ladder to get out. As Hyunji got out of the pool and walked towards his aunt at the grill his eyes followed her ass in a more obvious way than he expected.
"We can see you and it's not pleasant." Taehyung threw a football at him, splashing Jungkook and startling him.
"Then stop looking at me." Jungkook rolled his eyes.
Hyunji stood next to Yuri's mom and inhaled the aroma of the freshly grilled food.
"Need help?" Hyunji asked.
"Sure! Can you just hold this so I can get the chicken on it?" She handed Hyunji a glass casserole dish.
Hyunji held it close to the grill while the heat from the grill warmed up her skin. From being in the pool the gentle breeze made her get goosebumps.
"I hear you and Jungkook are dating." Tae's mom grinned briefly looking at Hyunji.
"Yes we have been for a couple months now." Hyunji replied.
"Jungkooks a good boy. He's sweet. I saw the chemistry you guys had. You guys seem very happy together."
"We are happy. He's great, he really is."
"Aww, I remember when I was your age and had my first boyfriend. It's special."
__________
They all sat around the bonfire Jimin and Jungkook had struggled to make, that is until Taehyung brought out the lighter fluid. Enjoying the food silence quickly fell over as the sun began to set. Time flew by as the group enjoyed each other's company and attempted to make s'mores which ended up with many burnt marshmallows and Jay snatching up any fallen graham crackers.
Jungkook checked his watch seeing it was 9:30 as he tried his best to tune our Jimin's fucked up ghost stories. Jimin had gone all nine yards to be as convincing as possible as he told his supposed "encounter", to top it off he had a flashlight under his chin to illuminate his face while he rambled on.
"That's the shittiest story ever."
"Jimin, that did not happen!"
"You sound like you're seven and just had a bad dream."
Jimin rolled his eyes and scoffed at their responses.
"I swear I had a ghost encounter and I'll stand by it till the day I die." Jimin firmly said, nothing could change his mind.
"That's nice. But I hope you realize that ghosts don't exist, Jimin." Hyunji stifled a laugh.
"He acts like he's a ten year old boy. Why are we even shocked?" Yuri chuckled.
"You look tired, Ji. Are you ready to go lay down?" Jungkook turned to Hyunji, but she was too busy listening to Taehyung and Yuri team up on bashing Jimin, it was too amusing not to ignore. Jungkooks quiet voice was easily not heard compared to Jimin's loud mouth.
"Well I'm pretty tired, we should go lay down and get ready for bed." Jungkook tapped her thigh to catch her attention this time and made eye contact.
"I'm not really tired yet-" Hyunji begins before realizing the meaning behind his words "Oh,"
You're gonna be tired in an hour. Jungkook thought to himself.
Fuck, now everyone was looking at them.
"It's only a little past 9:30- OHH! I get it now." Jimin obnoxiously chimed into their business.
"For real though, Jungkook, you need a better code when you wanna go bed your girlfriend." Taehyung shook his head.
Yuri pulled out her phone, awkwardly avoiding the conversation.
"Shut the fuck up! We never tell Jimin to shut up when he talks about his excursions under the sheets with Minjae-"
"Yes we do, he just doesn't listen." Yuri chimed in.
"I swear to god. . . " Hyunji muttered as her cheeks heated up, just wanting an escape.
