Chapter 15: Outsider's Perspective

A/N: This is just a rough sketch, I've haven't been able to color anything in awhile.

And now a certain fandom is going to spam this chapter with comments about it... Or maybe not, I don't know. I've seen people make comments about fandoms I've never even referenced in this story before so you know...

Anyways, onto the story!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Akademi High School...
On the surface it's seems like your ordinary Japanese school; a private school for the rich and smart, but for the most part - pretty ordinary.
However this isn't entirely true, for there is one factor in Akademi that isn't ordinary:
The students.
...At least, in Oko's opinion it was.
There were rarely any students at this school that no one knew nothing about. Even if it was one small rumor, there was more than likely some sort of information on someone.
Even Oko himself had some rumors about him. Which made sense, seeing as he was the Occult Club leader. He was a person who believed in supernatural, going as far as to seek out any paranormal activity disguised as ordinary high school students. Of course, this activity tended to give others the wrong idea - making him come of as a creepy stalker. Not that it mattered to him, it just meant that people left him alone while he did his investigations. Sure it seemed lonely at first, but that feeling quickly went away as he made friends with his fellow club members.
Though if he was being completely honest, Oko kinda wished he could become friends with two other students in particular; Ayato Aishi and (Y/N) (L/N).
Ayato Aishi reminded him of himself; quiet and easily dismissed by others. People constantly ignored him as he continued to spend his days all alone; not a single emotion cast upon his blank face. Oko always wondered what were to happen if Ayato had a friend... Perhaps he would finally show some emotion? Who knows...
Now the case with (Y/N) (L/N) was a bit different.
When the (h/c)ette first became a student at Akademi, she was pretty quiet - not shy, but she usually kept to herself. People first started paying attention to her as soon as she stopped some guy from cheating the student council president polls. That seemed to raise her popularity
And then of course came the whole matchmaking thing...
It practicality came out of nowhere. (Y/N) helps 2 or 3 people with their relationship problems and suddenly she's some sort of matchmaking goddess.
Miss Matchmaker Ai-chan; that's what everyone called her. Even Oko himself called the (h/c)ette that until she insisted that he call her (Y/N)-chan.
And the thing is, (Y/N) is actually really good at matchmaking people. There has yet to be a single person that came to her that she couldn't matchmake. It was like she was Cupid in disguise.
At first he considered asking the matchmaker to help him with his "crush," but he considered it a waste of time.
For starters, Oko wasn't even entirely sure if the feelings he felt for Taeko Yamada could even be considered to be love. Sure love at first sight was a thing, but it happened way too fast. He's not even sure why he likes her, perhaps she really did cast a hex on him.
Plus, it seems that Ayato has a huge crush Taeko Yamada. The emotionless male keeps making an effort to hang out with her; he even seemed to have asked (Y/N) for her assistance. And from the looks of it, the (h/c) haired female seemed to have trouble saying no to a matchmaking request. He may not be friends with Ayato or (Y/N), but he still couldn't do that to them.
Oko hopes that one day he can be friends with the raven haired male and (h/c)ette. But as of right now, fate has yet to fully intertwine their lives together.
-----------------
"Come on! You gotta go with us, I'm the one buying the tickets so it'll be fine!"
Normally Oko tries not listen in on other people's conversations, but for some reason this one in particular seemed to catch his attention.
He was just looking around a book store for new material for the Occult Club when this conversation caught his attention.
A short blue haired female was trying to convince the much taller (avocado) green haired male to do something.
"While I'm more than greatful that your paying for the tickets, that's not why I feel like I shouldn't go." The male responded.
"Then what's the problem?!" The blue haired female asked.
That's when Oko spotted a familiar female moving in closer to the two with some manga in her hands.
"My ability to understand spoken English isn't as good as my ability to speak English." The male explained.
"You know there's going to be Japanese subtitles* Takumi-kun." (Y/N) said. "Plus knowing Ami-chan, she'll get good seats."
"Yeah! Besides, you know enough English to know when people are talking sh*t!" The blue haired girl added.
Oko couldn't understand* what she was saying however, English was too difficult for him so he took a different language class.
"I don't know, maybe I should just wait for it to come out on DVD..." The male muttered.
"Can't be seriously telling that after nearly an entire year you're going to wait for it to come out on DVD?! Just cause you think that your English isn't good enough?!" (Y/N) asked. "This is an American movie, it's not in Spanish. You'll be fine."
"If it were in Spanish then I really would have a problem watching it." The male agreed. "Alright fine, I'll go."
"Well someone has to be the responsible one." (Y/N) added.
"Hey! I can be responsible!" The blue haired girl argued.
(Y/N) just gave the girl a look that would indicate otherwise.
At this point Oko guessed he wasn't hiding as well as he thought he was, cause the matchmaker had suddenly made eye contact with him.
"Oko-kun...?" (Y/N) asked, causing the other two to turn in his direction.
"O-Oh...! U-Um.... Sorry... I-I didn't mean to eavesdrop....!" Oko panicked.
"It's alright. I mean, it's not like our conversation was super private or anything." (Y/N) reasured him, the other two nodding in agreement.
"O-Oh... U-Um... Thanks (Y/N)-chan... And u-um..." Oko started to say before he realized that he didn't know the other two's names.
Luckily it seems that (Y/N) caught on.
"Oh! They're my friends from kendo, Ami-chan and Takumi-kun." (Y/N) explained, pointing out to the other two in that order.
"We where just talking about a movie." Takumi added.
"O-Oh...! W-What movie are talking about...?" Oko asked shyly.
"Fifty Year Old Virg- OW!!!" Ami started to say before getting smacked on the back of her head by (Y/N) and Takumi.
"It's Endgame! We're talking about Avengers Endgame." (Y/N) corrected.
"It's an American comic book movie." Takumi added.
"O-Oh... I-I see... I can't understand English at all so I don't pay attention to that stuff..." Oko muttered.
"That's alright." (Y/N) said with a friendly smile. "Foreign languages aren't easy."
Oko felt flustered. The (h/c)ette always seemed to be friendly with him.
"Do you like anime?!" Ami asked out of nowhere.
"Ami-chan!" Takumi semi shouted, giving the shorter girl a light smack on the arm.
"What?! That's a very important question you know!" Ami snapped.
"I-Ive seen t-this one called Blue Exorcist..." Oko answered.
That seemed to interest the blue haired female as she brightened up continued to ask him various things about the anime. Even (Y/N) joined in the conversation. Normally talking a lot would make him anxious , but this conversation made him feel at ease.
Next thing he knew, Oko found himself sitting with (Y/N) and her friends near a cinnamon roll cafe. They all bought some cinnamon rolls and were now eating them.
"Is it considered cannibalism if you eat a cinnamon roll in front of a cinnamon roll?" (Y/N) muttered in English to her friends as Oko ate him cinnamon roll in confusion as to what they were saying.
"The bigger question is it considered forced cannibalism if you give a cinnamon roll a cinnamon roll to eat?" Takumi responded in English.
"Either way this is cannibalism." Ami added.
Maybe Oko should give English another shot...
Eventually it was time for them to go home. Ami offered Oko to be dropped off by her driver*, but Oko turned her down.
"Are you sure?" Ami asked. "There's plenty of room and I always take those two home so it's no trouble at all."
"I-I'm fine... I-I don't live that far from here anyways..." Oko reasured her.
"Alright then... If you say so..." Ami said before waving bye. "Till we meet again!"
Oko watched as Ami walked over to the semi fancy car, Takumi already inside.
"I'm glad that you seemed to get along well with my friends." (Y/N) said with a smile. "We should definitely hang out more, I know that Ami-chan would love to show you some more anime."
"I-I'd like that..." Oko muttered.
"Me too!" (Y/N) responded. "I should get going now, see you at school!"
The car drove off as soon as (Y/N) was inside. Oko watched as it left the parking lot.
Well if he's learned anything today, it's that (Y/N) isn't as lonely as he thought she was.
Though hanging out with (Y/N) has made him want to be friends with her even more...
That settles it! Oko has decided try to become friends with Ayato Aishi and (Y/N) (L/N)! He's going to do his best!
To be continued.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

1) Seeing as how I've never been to Japan before, I don't actually know if they show foreign movies with Japanese subtitles. I mean they might, they do that here.

2) Do Japanese schools teach any other languages besides English? I don't know. I think it usually depends on where you live. Most schools where I live have Spanish as the first choice (or only choice) foreign language class. But just like Takumi, I'm awful at Spanish...

3) I found this out a couple months ago, but it turns out that in Japan you have to be 18 or older to get a driver's license.

Okay so have I made it obvious that I'm ready to see Endgame yet? After seeing Captain Marvel with my little brothers - I say little but they're both in middle school now and one of them is graduating middle school soon - and right after one of them asks me when is Endgame coming out.

My brother bought the tickets, apparently we're "trading" seats with some people. I don't think anyone really checks, last time we when there no one was there to inforce anything - Plus some people changed seats before the movie started so yeah.

Now to change the subject, remember a few chapters back (or was it only one chapter back? I don't remember) how I asked about a Danganronpa x Miraculous Ladybug fanic idea you guys in both fandoms would like to see? Well I've been thinking about the second option (the bi harem, post V3 one) and well I was wondering what characters to put in the bi harem.

Again, I wont be publishing that story for a good while. I just want to know so I can determine how the story should go.

I'll start with the characters that are 100% in the reader's bi harem:

Marinette Dupain-Cheng/Ladybug

Adrien Agreste/Chat Noir

Right now I have one maybe:

Shuichi Saihara

So now I'm asking which of these characters should join the reader's bi harem? Comment below, I'd appreciate it:

Maki Harukawa

Himiko Yumeno

Alya Cesaire/Rena Rouge

Nino Lahiffe/Carapace

Chloe Bourgeois/Queen Bee

Kagami Tsurugi

Luka Couffaine

Lila Rossi (I know a lot of people don't like her but this might change a huge part of the story depending on whether she's a part of the bi harem or not.)

I didn't feel like writing everyone's names down but you can add them if you want.

That's all for now. Till next time!
