7.Is Sex a crime?

Hey guys I am an 18 year old virgin and today I am going to talk about sex. Ok so what is sex in general it is an expression of passion and love and its one of the basic human needs plus it is the first step towards a beautiful journey called parenthood. Then why is sex considered almost like a crime in India. If you know anything about sex before marriage you are labelled as a person with a bad character. The craziest thing is: the sex which is considered a big sin before marriage suddenly turns into a holy thing after marriage. Before marriage if you even talk to a guy people starts judging you but after marriage it is ok even if the husband rapes you. Mothers tell their daughters to stay away from guys all their life and one fine day she is expected to have sex with a stranger who she hardly knows. I mean hats off to this stupid logic of Indians. Ok now you will ask me that why is knowing about sex important. Well do you realize the lack of sex education is the main reason due to which sex crimes are increasing day by day in our country moreover a good sex education can reduce crimes such as marital rape to a certain extend. I saw the most deadly form of lack of sex education when I was talking to a girl who was in grade 10’Th and she thought having sex is a sin and is only done by criminals. This happened because she grew up seeing movies in which only the villain character had sex and not the others. And yes she had no idea that sex was the reason for her birth even though we had a chapter about human reproduction in grade 10’Th. How did this happen?  Well I understood when I recalled my biology class on reproduction where teacher will either skip or explain things related to reproduction in a way that no one could understand a thing. And surprisingly she did the same with the topic related to periods. I once had a conversation with my friends about sex and was shocked hearing a comment by one of my friends. She told me that her boyfriend used to watch porn and she was ok with it because he had to know what to do but a girl should not know about sex because it was unnecessary and all girls who watched porn are sluts. When I was young I used to wonder how sex works because I had no way to find out about it and I used to wonder that when time comes when I have to lose my virginity what am I supposed to do? Then I will just brush of that thought thinking that perhaps the guy will know what to do. But what if the guy has no idea what to do? Well this is mostly unlikely to happen because usually guys have idea about all these stuff more than Indian girls do. But just imagine if the guy has no idea and he is married off to a girl who has no idea what will happen then? What will happen to their marriage? It will be like that seen from housefull in which Akshay Kumar gets married and is clueless on what he was supposed to do. This may sound funny but it can be a serious issue especially in India. Even though we Indians consider girls who know about sex before marriage criminals we also consider guys who can’t have sex like a defective piece and make their life hell. There is this extreme pressure on our guys to perform well in bed or else they are not considered a proper guy at all. If you wanna know more deeply about this issue you should probably watch the movie ‘Subh Mangal Saavdaan’ staring Ayushman Kurrana and Bhoomi Padnekar which is about a guy who realizes he can’t have sex just a few days before his wedding and the emotional turmoil the characters have to go through because they don’t know exactly what is going on this issue also arises because of the lack of sex education.
As we have came to the topic of Ayushman Kurrana movies there are two more movies I would like to mention. First one is Vickey donour and its about a sperm donour and how our society looks down on him and Ayushman had done that role with at most grace. Being a sperm donour is not something that we should look down on its something which helps people who cannot have kids naturally become parents. But our stupid society looks down on that too.

Next movie is ‘Baadai ho’ it talks about two elderly couple who are about to become parents again and how our society looks down on them. Isn’t all this crazy what are these crazy rules related to sex. Ok so to make all this mess clear I am going to tell you a few sex rules which prevail only in India.
#1 two people should be married to each other before having sex.
#2 Sex should happen only between a man and a woman which means homosexuality is not allowed (This was also illegal sometime back)
#3 both the partners should be young and should stop having sex after a certain age.
#4 a women should fulfil all the sexual desires of her husband whether she like it or not.
#5 People should have sex only for the purpose of reproduction and not for fun.
#6 masturbation is not even in our dictionary and if you are caught masturbating  after marriage your partner may even give you a divorce (If you don’t believe me watch Veere di wedding)
#7 a girl can never have sex before marriage and a guy should only marry a 100% pure virgin (Even though the fact remains that the guy takes a girls virginity after marriage)
#8 a person should only have one sexual partner throughout their life.
#9 watching, talking even thinking about sex is a crime before marriage.
#10 if a person decides to not get married ever he/she should never have sex.
All this may sound creepy but unfortunately is true.
