5. BFF-BF confusion

Hey guys I am back with more interesting stuff to talk about so Today I am gonna talk about a BIG problem faced by the people of India especially by the youth. OK I am not gonna talk about corruption, woman empowerment or rise in the cost of petrol, even though all these are a big problem in India today I am gonna talk about one particular problem which I don’t think doesn’t exist in any other country except for India. And the funny thing is that most of the people don’t even know about this problem. People are so unaware of this problem that no one even cared to give it a name. I personally like to call it BF-BFF confusion. OK so for all of you guys to understand this problem properly let me just give you guys some examples out of which some are from my personal experiences and some problems about which I have heard about.
My friend once narrated this story to me a girl from her neighbourhood was walking home. A guy one of her friends saw her and offered to drop her home in his car and as he was her friend the girl accepted the offer and when people saw both of them together they thought of this in a wrong way made then stop the vehicle and created a lot of drama and forced both of them to marry each other and yes they are married now. The girl was very young she was studying her dreams ambitions and everything was shattered within a few minutes. And the funny part is this incident didn’t happen in a place with uneducated people or any village area or people following old rules. It happened in Kerala my state the state with most number of educated people.
OK now you guys would say it’s some other people’s experience and I must talk about my own experience so let’s come to my experience I was travelling in the collage bus so suddenly a teacher asked me to shift my place and go and sit away from my seat and they didn’t even give me an explanation why they asked me to do that. So, there was one of my senior who was sitting near me I asked her what just happened? She explained that I was sitting near a guy so this seat change was a punishment that I got for sitting near guy and she told me she have experienced this many times herself.
But honesty speaking my collage is way better than the schools I have completed my education from. Actually I am a writer who has completed writing her first novel based on the same topic and the biggest inspiration for my first novel was the principal of the school from where I completed my 10’Th he was a person who was the biggest example of such problems. He always insults a girl who was caught talking to a guy in the worst possible way. If a girl accidently touches a guy it’s like her THE END. You know one day one of my friends went to a temple and coincidently the principal also came there he saw a couple of guys standing there near the temple they were standing far away and my friend she hardly noticed them. You know what principal said to that girl “Now I understood why you come to the temple regularly” he also insulted her by saying some other things that she ended up crying the whole day. A pointed to be noted here is that Principal had a daughter. God only knows what she would be going through now.
And the school from where I completed my plus one plus two...........there were separate staircases for girls and boys so that girls and boys don’t climb the staircase together and I suppose you can guess the rest.
OK let’s forget the society for one second and let’s come to the police the protectors of law. Our government have started a new department called the Pink police which they claim is for woman’s safety when I heard the news I was really happy that at least now they are thinking about women’s safety. But when I got to know what this so called Pink Police do all day I was disappointed. They go to different public places and stops boys and girls from sitting and talking with each other. One of my friends was caught by the pink police for sitting and talking to one another girl. This is their so-called women’s safety. So what can we expect from a place where the police is like this?
OK leave the society leave the police let’s talk about individuals. We live in a place where girls insult the guys who try to be friendly with her saying that they are trying to flirt with her and do a lot of drama.
And there are some boys who claim that a girl is his girlfriend just because she shares everything with him and behaves friendly with him. I never faced that issue in my collage, because my classmate never misunderstands like that.
But such confusions are very dangerous too because guys misunderstands a girls friendship and when the girl tries to clear his misunderstanding they end up hurting the girl such misunderstandings lead to problems like acid attacks too.
It’s about time guys that we stop this misunderstanding once and for all we should be mature enough to see love as love and friendship as friendship it is sad that in our country a girl and boy can’t walk with each other until the girl ties a Raki on a guys hand and give each other a brother-sister tag. We are friends and we need this right to friendship. Guys spread the news and let everyone get this right to friendship.
