Saturday morning

Shane's POV

How does one calm an upset, pregnant wife? Mum had us stay at their house while everyone was at our house decorating.

"Is it time to go now?" The dirty look Bliss just gave me after saying that is one of impatience. Bliss is driving me crazy, so mum needs to hurry up.

"No, Darling. It is not time yet. How about we go for a drive? Mum will call me when we can go home. She said you will love all of the surprises."

"Fine!"

"Please let her call soon." I grabbed my keys, locked the house, and drove to the park.

Two hours later, mum finally called.

"Shane, you and Bliss can come home now. We saved you a parking space in front of the house. And Bliss's new bodyguards are here. Mason has two for her."

Thank goodness.

"Okay. We are on our way."

"That was mum. We are going home now. And your new bodyguards are at the house also."

I let Bliss drive back home, so she would not ask me 50 questions about what was happening at the house because I had no idea.

It took us about 25 minutes to make it home.

Once we parked the truck in the front, we got out and saw a sign on the door that was half blue and half pink. It said, 'Welcome to the Landes Gender Reveal Party.'

Braelyn, Día, and Rocco opened the door. They grabbed our hands and led us to the back.

My mum went all out for the party. There were blue and pink streamers everywhere. Also, blue and pink roses, a dessert table with blue and pink cupcakes, lollipops, candy, and what I am guessing is the cake that will reveal our baby's gender.

Once we reached the patio doors, we heard, "SURPRISE!!"

We looked around and saw all of our friends and family. I looked down and saw Bliss crying. "Your mom is the best! She has done all of this since Monday. I love it. I'm sorry for being cranky this morning."

"It is okay, Darling. Look at Precious and Raven. Even they are participating." My mum had them dressed in a blue and pink cat dress.

"Bliss and Shane, before you have a seat, we have two special surprises for you. They both wanted to be here for you. Close your eyes and follow me." Mum held our hands and led us somewhere. Then, she said, "Open your eyes."

"Oh my goodness! Grandpa Marcus, you came! And Nana Margie and Papa Eddie! I missed you all so much!" Bliss ran over and gave them all a hug and kiss.

"Sweetheart, they were at the wedding."

"Hush, Shane. Leave Bliss alone. Now, hug your grandma," my Nana said.

Then, Bliss added her two cents, "Yeah, Shane. Leave Bliss alone. That was eight months ago, and this is now."

She is so going to get it later.

"It's good to see you, grandmother. And, you to grandpa. And I can't forget about you, Grandpa Marcus."

"Everybody already casts their ballots. Shane, you and Bliss need to do yours. There is a ballot box next to the cake inside. But, now everyone can dig into the food and enjoy themselves."

Bliss' POV

"You can have a seat, mommy. I will fix you something to eat."

"Thank you, daddy." I went to sit with our grandparents while Shane went to get all three of us food.

"This is the best surprise ever. Thank you all so much for coming."

"You're welcome, dear. This was a special occasion, and we had to come," Nana said.

Mason, Andrea, and Ree came over. I sat Ree in my lap and kissed her. "Thanks, Mase and Andrea. I love you guys."

'You're welcome, Bliss. We have a surprise for you too." I turned around and saw Mase's mom and dad. "Oh my goodness, it is great to see you! Thank you both so much for coming." I gave Ree to Andrea. Then, I gave Mase's parents a great, big hug.

"You're welcome, sweetie. We had to come to see you. And congratulations. A first child is always a special occasion."

"Thank you." Shane came back with a plate for me and one for him. "Thank you, Lover Boy."

After Shane came back with our food, these two hulking figures now walked over with Mason. I couldn't stop gawking at how muscular they were. Shane turned around, and I could tell he had an irritated look on his face when he saw them. I started rubbing his arms. So, I whispered, "I vowed on both wedding days to love and cherish you. They are just my bodyguards. You are my husband and Lover Boy."

He perked up after hearing that. "Shane and Bliss, meet Shemar and Gianni."

(Shemar)

(Gianni)

"It is nice to meet you, Shemar and Gianni. This is my husband, Shane."

"It's nice to meet you both. Mr. Landes, we assure you we are here to do our job - which is to guard your wife, no matter the cost. If you need us to be with her 24/7, we will do it."

"I want Bliss to be protected 24/7. Wherever she goes, you go. I would prefer that you stay here, so just let me know what you need. We have two cats, so I hope neither of you is allergic."

"No, we are not allergic. If there is a basement in the house, we can stay there. We understand that you are newly married and will respect your privacy. But, at the same time, protect your wife."

"As long as that is clear, then we will not have any problems." Shane had his arms crossed when he said that.

"Gentlemen, feel free to enjoy the party. There is plenty to eat and drink."

They walked away and went to get themselves something to eat.

"Dang. Can't walk around in the house with just a negligee anymore." Shane heard me say that and sighed.

We ate our food and had a good time talking to our grandparents. My Fiore kids came over and hugged me.

After we finished eating our food, it was time. "Shane and Bliss, it is now time for you to cast your ballots first, then cut the cake."

While we walked inside, we held hands. Mom handed us each a pen and a sheet of paper. I wrote my gender down, and Shane wrote his. Then, we walked over to the cake. I stood in front, and Shane stood behind me, then placed his hand over mine on the knife.

"On the count of three, cut your cake."

"One!"

"Two!"

"Three!"

We cut into the cake, and it was blue. Our baby is a boy. Then, mom pulled out a big card with his name.

I loved it! I turned around and gave Shane a big kiss. It wasn't too big because the kids were present. Then, I whispered in his ear, "You will have to find another name for your 'boy,' Shane. I love the name you chose."

He whispered back, "Thanks. And I don't have to change it. There will be two Jrs now - one for you and the baby's name." He winked, and I blushed.

We cut a slice of the cake and fed it to each other. Then, we cut everyone a piece.

Before we went back outside, mom announced, "I have gift bags for everyone who voted for a boy. And, I also have gifts for those who picked a girl because that is what Bliss and Shane are having next."

"Mum, can we focus on Junior first, please?" Shane sighed as he carried our cake plates, and we went back outside. I had to talk to my girls, so we walked over to Kam, Layla, Kimmie, Noeli, Tati, Janiyah, Sophia, Andrea, and Carly. I gave them all hugs. Then, I gave all the guys a big hug, especially my big brother, Julian.

"I don't see Kevin and Aris."

Carly says, "Aris was not feeling well, so they stayed home in New York."

"Aww, I have to call and make sure she is okay. Thank you all for coming! I love the decorations!"

"You're welcome, Bliss. We had fun fixing the house up," Cris mentioned.

"Of course, I had to help my modeling buddy out. Congratulations, Bliss and Shane. Parents get asked all the time - what did you both want?"

"Thanks, Marco. After the first time I held Rocco, I wanted my firstborn to be a boy."

"I remember when Nina had Jenny. From that day on, I was hoping my first child would be a girl so I could call her 'princess.' Our little princess will have to wait."

"Uh-oh, don't look now, but Grayson just walked in. Why the heck would he come here?! I am so sorry for introducing you both to him."

As soon as Marco said his name, I saw Shane tense up and ball his hands into fists.

"I can't believe he did that to you guys. Grayson better hope my father does not see him." Kam and Layla couldn't stand the sight of him. So, they got up and left. The guys were all ready to pounce on Grayson.

"He never gave off a vibe of being a complete and utter jerk."

"Marco, it is not your fault he did what he did. And what is upsetting the most is his settling and paying the compensation, basically getting away with what he did. I didn't want his money or need it. We are perfectly fine."

Shane hates him, and so do I. But I do remain professional with him because we are models, and I don't want to cause a scene. Grayson tries to talk to me, but I don't acknowledge him at all. Did mom invite him? Maybe she invited him to rub it in his face that we were expecting a baby. Or, perhaps she didn't invite him, and he came with Christina, Erica, and Gunner.

I purposely sat in Shane's lap and leaned against his chest, but I also kept it PG because there were kids are present. Then, I whispered in his ear, "You are mine. And I am yours - always and forever. Don't let him spoil our day. Kiss me, daddy."

Shane's POV

I sure did give her a great, big tongue kiss and made sure Grayson saw it. After what he did with Mikayla, my aunt, and Milena, I wanted to choke the life out of him. He is very fortunate Bliss stopped me from putting him six feet underground. And he better recognize where he is because I have no problem punching Grayson in the mouth.

Bliss stood up to give Christina, Erica, and Gunner a hug. He tried to hug Bliss.

"Grayson, do not touch me! What part of leave us alone don't you get?! You have some nerve showing up here after what you did. You may not have hurt me physically or killed my sister, but nonetheless, you were a part of it! And you left me alone in my penthouse, saying you went to a photo shoot! You're a coward! I hate you! Leave me alone!"

I cut my eyes at him, and he didn't push it. "Bliss, I need you to calm down. Grayson, can't you see your presence is not wanted?!"

Grayson's POV

Bliss tells everyone, "Thank you all so much for coming and sharing this day with us."

While they were talking, Shane kept his hands on her belly. Bliss could have been mine if Mikayla didn't screw up, and this gender reveal party should be ours. Once, I overheard Christina talking about this party, so I invited myself. I had to see Bliss again. I have to act like I care.

"Congratulations, Bliss and Shane. What are you having, a boy or girl?"

Shane wrapped his arms around Bliss's waist and rubbed her belly. "My WIFE and I are having a boy - Shane Jr." His hands continued rubbing her belly, and they even ventured to other regions of her body. I know why he did that. But can you blame him?

"Thank you, Grayson." I know Bliss forced herself to smile, but I didn't care. She should win an award for her smile. Anybody who feels down should just look at her smile. It is absolutely breathtaking.

"Nice house you have here. And I see you have boats too."

"Shane got them for our anniversary - one is for me, and one is for him. Each month we are together, we celebrate it. Speaking of boats, he also got me a yacht. I am having a charity event in April, which will help build centers for homeless families. Baby Shane will be spoiled rotten and have so many modern comforts. I want the same for the homeless children in Miami. I would love for you all to come."

All of her friends said yes, and they will be there. So did Christina, Erica, and Gunner.

"Of course, I will be there to support you, Bliss." I knew Shane was irritated by my answer because he tightened his grip on her waist. She even did a little grind on him that no one could see but me because, again, that should be me.

"Grayson, do me a favor and stay away! I will need everyone's address, so Shane's company can send you all invitations. It will be an invitation-only event. Thank you all so much!!" She blew a kiss to everyone.

"Which way is the bathroom?"

"We have one on the main floor. It is near the living room."

"Thanks. Excuse me, everyone." Then, I walked inside.

As soon as I stepped out of the bathroom door, Shane was standing right there.

"Let's get one thing straight. I have no idea why my mum invited you. Or, if she did invite you. Just so it is clear, I do not like you. I hate you. DO NOT disrespect me in my house. Your photoshoot days with Bliss are OVER before they even start!! And, if I ever see you lay even a pinky finger on Bliss, I will choke you to death! And this time, Bliss will not stop me. And DO NOT show your face at Bliss' charity gala!! Do I make myself clear?!!"

"Very clear." Shane then walked away. She didn't invite me. I invited myself. And Bliss and I already had several photoshoots.

"Watch your back, Shane." I am already in his head. I am going to make him so paranoid he will not know what to do.

Shane's mother approached me, and she did not look happy.

"Leave Shane and Bliss alone! Grayson, at one point, I liked you because I truly believed that you cared about Bliss. But now, I can't stand you for what you, Mikayla, Judy, and Milena did to their relationship. They lost too much time out of their relationship. They are now happy and expecting my grandson. Leave my family alone! I am not one to play with. And don't bother showing up at Bliss' charity event in April. Now, you have five seconds to get out of this house! And to make sure you leave, I am following you."

Guess I have no choice but to leave. And she was not kidding. She followed me to the front door. I walked over to my Rover and left.

Bliss' POV

"Hey Bliss, now that it is getting dark outside, I have another surprise for you and Shane."

"Okay, I will go find him."

"He probably is out front with the great-grandparents."

As soon as I stood up, I felt a little dizzy. But I didn't think anything of it and made my way inside. Then, it got worse. So worse that the room started spinning, and I started wobbling. I propped myself against the wall. Then, I just slid down and sat on the floor. I know why this is happening. I stayed outside in the sun too long without an umbrella covering me. And I forgot my sunscreen.

"Bliss, you don't look so good. Let me help you up."

"I started feeling dizzy, and the room started spinning." Austin helped me up and sat me on the living room couch.

"Braelyn, stay with your auntie while I go get Shane."

"Okay, daddy."

Shane's POV

"Thanks for coming, Grandpa Marcus, grandma, and grandpa. How long are you staying?"

"We are going to stay for the week. We are going back to London next week."

"I am going back to Barbados next week."

"How about you all come back tomorrow and spend the day with us?"

"That sounds great, Shane. Go and enjoy the rest of your party, son. Goodnight."

After helping them in the car, they pulled off and headed back to mum's house. Then, I heard someone say, "Have you seen Shane? Something happened to Bliss."

I swear, if Grayson hurt Bliss, he is a dead man.

I turned around, and it was Austin. "Shane, Braelyn, and I saw Bliss sitting on the floor. She said she felt dizzy, and the room started spinning. Braelyn is with her now."

You would have thought I was Flash Gordon as fast as I ran inside.

"What happened, Darling?"

"Can someone bring me some water, please?"

Austin went to get Bliss some water, and then he came back.

"I sat in the sun too long without an umbrella or sunscreen. I started feeling dizzy as soon as I stood up to look for you. When I came inside, the rooms were spinning. So, I propped myself against the wall and slid down to sit. I couldn't make it to the couch. I'm sorry, Shane."

"I drank plenty of water while out there but forgot my sunscreen."

"It's okay, sweetheart. Tomorrow, we can go buy some new patio furniture and umbrellas."

"More water, please?"

My mum came inside the house. "Where is?" She saw us in the living room and everyone surrounding Bliss. "Bliss, sweetie, are you okay? What happened?"

"I started feeling dizzy, and the room started spinning."

"We can postpone our last two surprises for you and Shane until tomorrow."

"I should be okay now."

"Are you sure?"

"I'm sure."

"Okay. Shane, carry Bliss outside. You guys can sit on the patio couch for this one."

Bliss wrapped her arm around my neck, and I lifted her; then, we went outside to the patio couch. Once we were seated, mum told us, "Look up in the sky."

We saw blue fireworks in the sky.

Only my mum would think of something like that. Then, we saw the following words spelled out, "It's a boy!!" That was the first one.

The second one said, "I'm going to be a grandma again!!"

Everyone chuckled at that.

"What a perfect way to end the night. Congratulations, 'Daddy to be.' I have the best mother-in-law a girl could ask for."

"Congratulations, 'Mommy to be.' And I have the best of both worlds - a giddy mum and a beautiful, giddy bride."
