Chapter 62 - The Grand Wedding

Bliss' walk down the aisle song - 'Stay With You' by John Legend

Wednesday, March 31st, 2021

Bliss' POV

"Mom, dad, and Jessica, I know you all can't hear me, but I feel the need to talk to you all. I officially shed the 'Miss Independent' title for Mrs. Shane Carson Landes. I wish you were there to share that special day with us in Italy. I wish you could share this Saturday with us in Barbados too."

"There was a time when Shane and I were separated from each other because people were jealous of the love we had. But, once the truth was revealed about the blackmail scheme, we realized we still cared about each other. Mom, dad, and Jessica, Shane took two bullets for me and saved my life. Thank goodness he was wearing a bulletproof vest that day. Shane is standing right beside me today. From the day we first met, he always had my heart. And, even through the dark times, my heart always ached for him."

"Shane is the first man I have ever loved, and there is no better way to show it than to marry him a second time on April 3rd, 2021. I miss all three of you so much. I love you all so much, and you will always have a special place in my heart."

****************

Before we got in Shane's Denali, I grabbed him and cried in his chest.

"Thank you for coming with me today because it was hard. Today is the first time since their deaths that I have come. I know you can't promise me this, but please never, ever leave me. I don't think my heart could take it. I still have nightmares of watching you drop on the concrete from being shot. That meant the whole world to me that you did that."

"For as long as we are alive, I will do whatever it takes to protect my family. You are stuck with me forever, Darling."

"No more Alexander, Aunt Judy, Milena, Mikayla, or Grayson. We can't let people like that tear us apart again."

"I absolutely agree. Come, love, let's get in the Denali."

I took a quick glance back at my family's headstones and whispered, "I love you. Always and forever." Then, we got inside the Denali and left the cemetery.

While on the way back to the penthouse, "I told mom and the ladies that I didn't want a bachelorette party because I wanted us to spend Friday alone before the organized chaos of Saturday. Wait until you see my dress, Lover Boy."

"I can't wait to see it either. And, you know mum is not going to listen. We won't be able to escape her on Friday. But, starting Saturday evening, you and I will be mum-free for four glorious weeks."

"Darn right, mister. And don't forget you promised to practice our entrance dance to 'Crazy In Love' by Beyoncé. And, if you don't, you will have a lonely plane flight to wherever you didn't tell me we were going to first. I'm not playing, Shane."

We finally reached the penthouse parking garage. Once we got out, Shane scooped me up and put me over his shoulder, saying, "We shall see about that one, ma'am." Then, Shane started smacking my booty.

"Put me down, Shane Carson Landes!" He carried me like this the whole elevator ride to the penthouse.

"I know what my name is, and I am not putting you down."

Since Shane didn't want to put me down, I started smacking his booty. He squeezed it, and we both just burst out laughing. "Oh my goodness, no, you did not just do that. We used to do that when we got beatings as kids. It seems like you did that quite often because that is one mighty, firm booty you got back here. I love the back view. Seriously, Shane put me down. I am beginning to feel nauseous."

Shane is one strong man. He opened the door while I was on his shoulder. Then, Shane put me down alright - on the couch, and then he got on top of me and proceeded to tickle me.

Shane tells me, "Now, what is this about a lonely plane ride?"

"I said if you don't dance with me as we enter the reception, you will have a lonely plane ride." I could not stop giggling from his tickling.

Shane was two seconds from leaning in for a kiss when the doorbell rang. "Seriously, who is that?!" Shane went to answer the door.

It was Adrian and Brently.

"There is my girl. How are you feeling?"

"It was sad, but I needed to talk with them. I know they can't hear me, but I needed to do it."

Watch this. I know, I know it is childish, but I wanted to do it. "And Shane started tickling me when we came home." I stuck my tongue at him, and he just smirked.

"Shane, leave my daughter alone. Anyway, I came to steal her away from you. You will be fine without your bride until Saturday. You are already married and did the 'nasty.' So, Bliss, grab your purse, and we will be on our way. Get your kisses in now, Shane."

I grabbed my bag, then walked over to my husband-to-be. "Either you need to sit or pick me up and sit me on a counter. I'm a shortie, remember?"

So, Shane chose the latter and sat me on the bar counter. He then grabs my face and crashes our mouths together.

After the kiss, Shane whispered, "Remember this position come Saturday night on the plane."

Shane lifted me off the counter and pleaded with mom, "Mum, please, whatever you do, be safe and bring back my bride in one piece."

"Boy, please. Bliss will be fine. Bliss is an important element because she will be carrying my grandkids. I was hoping she would be pregnant already."

Dad and I chuckled, and Shane frowned.

"Goodbye, boys. Don't worry. Mason was a gracious gentleman and is coming with us. I have been waiting to plan your wedding since 2018. Nothing is going to happen to Bliss. Focus on Bliss' dress that will blow your mind. We will see you both on Saturday."

"Goodbye, dad. And, you too, Lover Boy." I blew Shane a kiss, and then we left.

Narrator's POV

Bliss was not sure where they were going, but they sure were going there in style. When they reached the front door to the building, Bliss saw a sleek, black stretch Jaguar limo. Once inside the limo, Bliss saw the whole bridal party. Even Grandma Landes was in there.

The ladies were driven to the private airport, where Jimmy would fly them to St. Lucy in Barbados. The ladies will be relaxing for the next two days at Silk Sensations Spa in The Jade Palms Resort, located in St. Lucy. Well, Adrian had another surprise for Bliss when they arrived at the resort.

***************************

The plane arrived safely, and they hopped in another sleek black limo. This one was an Escalade. Adrian later told Bliss that she now owned a VIP suite at the resort and could come anytime she wanted. Some guests recognized her and approached her for an autograph. Bliss was happy to sign whatever they wanted her to sign.

Surprise, surprise - Bliss had a bachelorette party anyway, loaded with money flying towards' strippers.

Speaking of Shane, he spent some time with his father and grandfather, getting marriage advice. Then, he also spent time with the fellas.

Those few days flew by fast because now it was wedding time.

Bliss' POV

I wish my father were here to walk with me. But I have the next best person - Kalani.

Shane texted me last night that a hairstylist, videographer, and photographer would be coming. I told him I would do my makeup because that is what I do best. I thought I would be nervous about today, but I was not.

"Love the ladies' dresses, Bliss."

"Thanks, Adrian. I love them too."

"Speaking of dresses, let's help you get in the dress that will have Shane drooling," Mom said as she helped me put on my dress.

"You look beautiful, Bliss. Layla did a fantastic job. I am so glad to have you as my daughter."

"Girl, when Shane sees you in this dress, you will be delayed for your reception."

"It fits you perfectly, Bliss. It's absolutely gorgeous."

"Thank you, Carly and Andrea."

Layla and Kam came in with the girls - Braelyn, Día, and Isabella. Nana Margie followed right behind them.

"The dress came out beautiful, Bliss. Exactly like I pictured."

"Thanks, Layla. And thank you for creating it. I love it and love you for making it."

"You're welcome. That is what sisters are for."

"Well, well, well, you look beautiful!! I want to see Shane's face when he sees you, Bliss. I bet he passes out. Is the wedding being videoed?"

We all had to chuckle. "Thank you, Nana. And, yes, it is being videoed."

"You're welcome, honey. Shane is definitely going to have you pregnant by the end of the year. I can sense it."

"Nana, there are kids present."

"I said the same thing," Mom Adrian said with a huge grin.

"Uh, okay, before this gets out of hand, let's join the others downstairs. And, after the pictures, I want to say a little speech to everyone."

We were all put on video as we walked downstairs. We took all kinds of pictures - individual shots and group shots. I took a few with the little ones.

My favorite pictures were the ones I took with Mom Adrian and Nana Margie. These ladies are a delight to be around. The love they have shown to me, Andrea, and Julian is something I will always treasure.

We heard a knock on the door. Adrian went to open it. In walked the bellhop. "Mrs. Landes, your limo has arrived."

"Thank you so much." I will never tire of hearing that. I love it. "Ladies, before we leave, I just want to say thank you." I felt myself getting emotional.

"I never saw myself ever getting married because I vowed to remain independent. That was until I met Shane. I fought with myself for four months to stay away from him. But that was until that car almost killed me. I knew that day that I wanted to date Shane. But, of course, you all know what happened that broke us apart. Once we were back together, we knew what our next step was. Today is our second time getting married. Thank you all so much for your love and for supporting me and Shane's special day. I bought gifts for everyone because I love you all. Ladies, I have gifts for the kids too. Shane has gifts for the guys."

"We love you too, Bliss. Now, let's go see your man drooling at your dress."

We all laughed at Nana Margie's comment as we walked out of the suite towards the elevator.

Like Layla's second wedding, Shane and I permitted the media to cover us as we entered and exited each venue, nothing else. Our wedding is not a spectacle. It is very special to us and is an invitation-only occasion. And we specifically requested that no one post pictures of our wedding on social media or in magazines.

By the time we reached the lobby, security for our wedding had escorted us to the limo, which was a stretch Bentley. It was brand new, and we were the first ones to use them. There was media, as well as fans, gathered outside. It was amazing.

Narrator's POV

"Misty Jones, from MIN news, reporting to you live from The Jade Palms Resort, where model/business mogul Bliss Landes is leaving to marry the love of her life, multi-billionaire Shane Landes, again. We here at MIN news are so happy for her and send our congratulations to her and Mr. Landes. Bliss blew a kiss and waved to her fans. She is a wonderful, kind-hearted person. Shane Landes is one lucky man. We will now move over to Mike Stevens, reporting to you live from the ceremony."

******

Grayson's POV

I can't let anyone see me. I just had to come to see Bliss in her wedding dress. And, boy, did she not let anyone down. Shane sure is one lucky guy, all thanks to Mikayla for opening her mouth.

Mikayla messed up my future with Bliss. I could have been the one getting married to Bliss. Where is Mikayla anyway? She better hide her face!

Bliss is making me feel extra horny with that dress hugging all of her curves. If it makes me feel that way, imagine what Shane will feel like. And since this is their second ceremony, they already have had sex.

Ugh, I need to find someone to relieve this frustration that I am feeling. But I also need to find someone who does not know who Bliss and Shane are.

*******

(Shane, Julian, and Mason are wearing the black suit; the groomsmen are wearing the gray suit)

Shane's POV

"Shane, you just recently became a multi-billionaire. Your personal wealth and Landes Industries put you over 10 billion dollars. Plus, with all that Bliss has, she is a billionaire. You are the most powerful couple there is around. But, yet, here you are, nervous. Your hands are shaking like crazy."

"Of course, I am nervous, Julian. And, I seem to recall that you were nervous when you married Carly." He stopped snickering then.

"Darn right I was. But I didn't let it show. Adrian and Nana Margie did the same thing to me about having children as they are doing to you."

"Gentlemen, let's face it. Our wives make us nervous. They are not just beautiful but are sweet, friendly, and smart. And, as your mother phrased it, 'very curvaceous.' We must do all we can to protect them from people like those characters - Grayson, Alexander, and Chase."

Everyone nodded in agreement with Niko's words. "I absolutely agree with you, Niko. Alexander and Chase are dead. But what if someone else tries to take Bliss away from me? I don't want to be overprotective of Bliss, but I will if the need arises. She has given me a second chance, and I will not squander it."

As my father and grandfather approached us, I noticed the concerned looks on their faces.

"Shane, we just got a call from your mum that the ladies are stuck in traffic. They don't know when they will arrive. We have already informed your wedding director. Oh, and Nana Margie can't wait to see you pass out when you see Bliss' dress."

Everyone started laughing at the last part. We initially didn't want a wedding coordinator, but we got one to set up Grandpa Marcus' backyard.

"I'm glad to see you all think that is funny. I know for a fact that all of you had the same amount of nerves that I now have. If my Nana said that, who else attending would think that? I will hurt them if they do."

"Shane, Bliss' surprise guests are here."

"I don't know how you did it, but thank you, Mason. Bliss will love it."

"You're welcome, Shane. Bliss is my sister. I would do anything for her."

******

Thirty minutes later, they still hadn't arrived. I am starting to worry. "Please let them be okay."

I was about to take both limos to go get my bride and family when I saw Sarah walking my way.

"Mr. Landes, your bride just called. The traffic is moving, and they are on the way."

"Thank you, Sarah."

It was another 20 minutes, and they arrived. So, I took my place on the stage. My stomach was in knots. But my father and grandfather gave me a thumbs up before going back to my mum and Nana.

The song we chose for the bridal party to walk into is the same as our first dance, 'Stay With You,' by John Legend. We both vowed to stay with each other through the many ups and downs we may face as husband and wife.

The music began playing. My parents and grandparents are now walking out. Once my Nana Margie took her seat, she glanced my way and started grinning.

"Uh oh."

Then, Grandpa Marcus walked out and sat near my grandparents.

Julian and Carly were next. The dresses Bliss chose for the ladies are beautiful. That must be a sign of what is to come because I sure hear many throats being cleared. The rest of the bridal party walked with their groomsmen.

Jenny walked with Noah. They were junior bridesmaids and groomsmen. Cris and Kam went to help with the kids. Rocco held the pillow with our rings, and Kam helped Isabella toss rose petals, along with Braelyn, Día, and my niece Shania. It was too cute. Once they took their positions, everyone stood up out of their chairs. Now an extra layer of nerves kicked in. Here comes my bride.

Bliss entered from the right, and Kalani entered from the left. When they stepped up the stairs to walk the runway, my heart started beating extra fast at how fit (a British term used for super-hot) she looked in that dress. Layla did an excellent job, and I will have to thank her.

Something else was excited too. I put my hand down there to try and cover it up. I started feeling sweaty, and my legs were wobbly. And everyone noticed.

Bliss' POV

"Thank you, Kalani, for walking with me. Your adopting us was very special."

"You're welcome, sweetheart. And thank you for letting me walk with you. Look at Shane up there - he is sweaty, nervous, and hiding his 'boy' with his hands. That is hilarious! Are you ready to take a walk?"

"I am ready." I had to chuckle because it was so obvious that Shane was hiding his 'boy.' We walked the runway.

We heard a few whistles as I made my approach to Shane. His facial expression changed quickly to a scowl. I knew what would change that, so I looked into his eyes and smiled. He smiled back.

Before Kalani gave Shane my hand, I kissed his cheek and said, "Thank you, and I love you."

"You're welcome, sweetheart. And I love you too." Kalani then went to stand near Adrian and Brently.

Shane and I walked up on the bigger stage together. His hand was sweaty, so I looked up at him. Shane didn't look so good. I know he can't be nervous.

The next thing I knew, Shane passed out. I heard Nana Margie say, "I knew he would."

I knelt to him. "Shane! Shane! Oh gosh, Lover Boy, please wake up! Somebody, help him!!"

This can't be happening! Not on our wedding day!!

The wedding director brought a glass of water over. "Here, give Shane this, Bliss. Your Nana Margie says he passed out because of your dress."

"Shane, please wake up!!" He must have because I looked down and saw "JR" was poking out. Shane opened his eyes. I gave him the water, and he drank it. "And you might want to fix your boy because he is thrilled."

Shane stood up. "Sorry for the delay. I'll be right back." Shane got off the stage really fast. I couldn't help but chuckle, but I am glad he is okay.

Fifteen minutes later, Shane came back. "Okay, I am ready now."

We then resumed holding hands. Shane and I stole glances at each other throughout the wedding officiant's talk, which lasted for about thirty minutes. Now, it was time for our vows, and I already had tears in my eyes when we faced each other.

"In May 2018, who knew that I would eventually meet the love of my life, my future husband, and father to our future children? Back then, I was extremely independent and did not want or need a relationship. Before you came into the office that day, I was ogling the pictures you attached to the email you sent to Mr. Anderson. I could not help but melt at the sound of your voice when you walked into the office. But, when I looked up from my computer, I was mesmerized by how attractive you were. You were way hotter in person."

Everyone then chuckled, even Shane.

"Shane, you didn't know it, but you already had my heart. In fact, you had my heart the first day we met. And, the night of Mr. Anderson's party, after we kissed, I knew then and there it would be a struggle to stay away. I didn't let it go farther than that."

"On July 2nd, you told me you would win my heart. I was afraid to give my heart to you until November 2018."

"I am not going into detail about our breakup because it is too painful. When you took those bullets for me, I thought I had lost you forever. Thankfully, you thought to wear a bullet-proof vest."

"Our first ceremony was special, but this ceremony is more special because family and friends surround us. I am marrying the man of my dreams, my 'Lover Boy' again. I love you, Shane Carson Landes. I vow to love you, cherish you, stand by you, and be a supportive wife and mother to your children. I vow never to let anyone or anything come between us again. This is my vow to you."

Shane's POV

"How does one follow that beautiful vow? The first day I saw you in May 2018, I knew that you were the one I wanted forever by my side. You were beautiful, polite, well-mannered, and very smart. When our hands brushed against each other when you handed me the tea, I had to tell myself to focus on business, not pleasure."

"I asked Mr. Anderson about you immediately after you left his office that day, and he told me that you were very independent. I knew I wanted you and was willing to wait. I asked so many people for advice. They all told me to do the little things and don't try to buy your affection. I was more than thrilled when you finally told me how you felt on our trip to Italy. I will also not speak of our breakup. And I would take bullet after bullet to protect you."

"Here I am marrying the woman of my dreams, my 'Darling' again. I love you, Bliss Nalani Landes. In front of everyone here, I vow to love you, honor you, respect you, stand by your side, and be a supportive husband and father to our children. I also vow to never, ever let anyone or anything come between us again. And I vow to dance with you as we enter the reception."

Everyone chuck at that. I winked at Bliss, and she blushed. Bliss is going to be pleasantly surprised.

Wedding Officiant - "Before we proceed, who is here to present the bride to Shane?"

Julian and Kalani stood up and said, "I do."

Wedding Officiant - "Secondly, is anyone here in objection to Shane and Bliss getting married?"

My mum turned around with her hands on her hips. My grandmother stood up, and Bliss and I both turned around too. Even though we were already married, we still turned around. The whole wedding party turned around.

Nobody dared to raise their hand. My Nana said with an attitude in her voice, "I dare anyone at this ceremony to raise their hand. Leave my family alone. Bliss and Shane deserve to be happy."

Wedding Officiant - "And now, Bliss and Shane will exchange their rings as they say their I do's."

Cris ushered Rocco over to where Bliss and I were standing. I took the rings off the pillow. Then, Rocco walked back to Cris. Andrea came over to hold Bliss's bouquet, which was a diamond, covered holder with red and white roses. I told Bliss to get whatever she wanted. Money is no object when it comes to the ones you love.

"I, Shane Carson Landes, take you, Bliss Nalani Landes, to be my lawfully wedded wife again

To have and to hold from this day forward, for better or for worse,

For richer or for poorer,

In sickness and in health,

To love and to cherish until death do you part."

Without hesitation, I placed the wedding band on Bliss's finger, then said, "I do."

Then, Bliss did the same thing.

I, Bliss Nalani Landes, take you, Shane Carson Landes, to be my lawfully wedded husband again

To have and to hold from this day forward, for better or for worse,

For richer or for poorer,

In sickness and in health,

To love and to cherish until death do you part."

Without hesitation, Bliss placed the wedding band on my finger, then said, "I do."

The wedding officiant proclaimed, "In front of this gathering before us, I now pronounce you, Bliss and Shane, husband and wife. Shane, you may kiss your bride."

I did not care if my neck hurt or not. I pulled Bliss closer to me, put both of my hands on her cheeks, stared into her beautiful eyes, then crashed our lips and tongues together in a kiss that no one would forget. And I didn't care who was watching. This kiss would be done when I say it would be done.

I heard Julian whisper, "It is now ten minutes. Save some of that for later."

After that, we broke apart.

"May I now present to you Mr. & Mrs. Shane and Bliss Landes."

As we walked hand and hand back down the runway, everyone stood up and applauded. Bliss must have spotted her surprise because suddenly, she started blushing and stumbled.

"OH MY GOODNESS! Did I just see who I thought I saw?! B-b-but how d-d-did they know about our wedding?!"

"I asked Mason, and he said he would try. He came through, and they will also be at the reception."

Bliss gave me a mischievous grin and mouthed, "Oh, you are so not going to be lonely on that jet. Thank you, Lover Boy."

"You're welcome. Whatever makes you happy, I will do it."

We didn't do the receiving line because we lost that time while Bliss was stuck in traffic. So, we got in the limos to take our pictures.

For the second time in eight months, I am happily married to the only woman I have ever loved - Bliss Nalani Landes.
