❝darling we're heaven and hell❞
"miss ringer's café?"
"it's miss REINA'S café, you illiterate!"
"why're we here again?", a teenager with black, spiky hair questioned, standing before the white and black café that seemed just like any other coffee shop.
"you know how long it took me to book this place? IT TOOK ME A FULL MONTH BEFOREHAND! and plus, since it's february, the theme is romantic", kugisaki nobara — a countryside jujutsu high student — replied.
"romantic? how? it's literally black and white", itadori — the pink-haired boy — pointed out, making kugisaki roll her eyes.
"go inside first. I didn't book this for you two to quit on me", kugisaki huffed as she dragged the two boys into the café, to which a dainty scent of jasmine tea had hit their noses.
"woah..."
not only were the white marble tables lined up perfectly five feet away from each other, but the dark cherry wooden diotima chairs brought out the red roses dangling from the extravagant green leaves.
even the lights were hung in a glass trapezoidal container, giving it a very romantic effect.
"see! I told ya both that it's romantic!!", kugisaki smiled.
"but is the food good though?", itadori asked, to which a waitress had swiftly arrived to greet the three.
"welcome to miss reina's café. how may I help you three today?", the girl with blonde hair had asked.
"we made a reservation earlier in the month for kugisaki nobara", the orange-haired girl answered.
nanako — the waitress — skimmed kugisaki's phone and confirmed her reservation as she hummed.
"this way please", nanako gestured as she walked first, taking them to a square table that had four chairs.
the three took a seat as they saw that the other seats around them were either filled or there was a card propped up on the table, signaling that it's taken.
"what drinks can I get you three started with?", nanako asked, to which kugisaki had just went ahead and ordered three macchiatos with foam hearts, as her friends weren't sure what to get.
"I'll be right back", nanako stated as she walked off, leaving the three to discuss about what dessert to order meanwhile clicking was heard coming down the spiral staircase.
"miss reina!"
people in the café snapped their heads around to witness a pale woman with slick black hair — as dark as coal — and a matching black, oversized fur coat around her skintight red dress who's roseate lips had blossomed into a welcoming smile.
her bangs covered her forehead but accentuated her thin eyebrows and her peculiar lilac eyes.
she was beyond just beautiful.
she was the definition of ethereal.
"working hard, nanako? mimiko?"
another waitress, with matching ink black hair, had stood before reina as her and her coworker had nodded, letting out a small smile.
"yes ma'am!"
"amazing. well don't let me stop you two", reina smiled as she walked towards a few tables, asking the customers how they were doing and whether everything was up to their standards or not.
"oh. my. god. it's miss reina in the flesh", kugisaki whispered, hiding her head in the menu as she gripped so tight that the plastic menu would've crumbled in her very own hands.
"huh? is she popular or something?", itadori asked.
"yes...well...no...well...I mean it's subjective. but her café is REALLY famous and everyone's always curious as to what she looks like since no one has really seen her before", kugisaki gossiped.
"she seems a bit...off...", fushiguro commented, glancing at the owner of the shop as she started heading towards the three's table.
"shhh! don't be rude", kugisaki harshly whispered as she cleared her throat and immediately straightened her posture.
"well hello and welcome to my café. I'm miss reina in case you couldn't tell", the dark-haired woman lightly chuckled, to which kugisaki's eyes had sparkled with admiration.
"I'm kugisaki nobara, and these two are my...umm schoolmates: itadori yūji and fushiguro megumi", the orange-haired girl introduced.
"well nice to meet you three. is this your first time here?"
"unfortunately yes", kugisaki sighed. "it's really hard to make reservations since you're shop is so popular".
reina lightly chuckled as her hands had rested on top of her hip, giving her an elegant pose even when standing.
"my apologies, but since it's your first time here, how about I give you a special pass so that next time you can bring your friends without having to book a table ahead of time?", reina offered.
kugisaki's eyes widened as her mouth slight gaped open, to which fushiguro had raised a brow as he felt that something was off about this woman.
"yes! we'll take it. thanks!", itadori answered since his two friends were clearly spacing out.
reina then turned her attention to itadori, to which her lilac eyes had marveled at the boy, as her smile widened.
"and you're...itadori yūji correct?", reina asked, to which itadori had nodded in affirmation.
"here's a card with my signature on it. if you show it to my employees, they'll for sure recognize it. make sure not to lose it", reina stated as she pulled it out from the pocket of her fur coat, handing it to itadori as she stared into his brown eyes.
"oh...thank you! by the way, what do you recommend since you know...we've never been here before?", itadori asked, to which kugisaki had gently kicked the male's foot under the table.
"I personally love the red velvet spider lilies cake, but if you're unsure of what you like, I suggest the special valentine variation cake, where there are six different pieces of cake incorporated into one".
"we'll take that then!", itadori chirped, to which reina had nanako take down their order as she excused herself before heading upstairs once more.
"are there more guests upstairs?", itadori asked, extremely curious.
kugisaki shrugged.
"maybe it's for special guests. and maybe we'll see next time we come", the orange-haired girl smiled, daydreaming about her next meeting with reina and wondering if she would be able to get a picture.
"are you okay, fushiguro? you look kinda out of it", itadori laughed.
"h-huh? oh...yeah...", the boy quietly answered, making kugisaki snort.
"he's probably just blinded by her beauty, as everyone is", kugisaki teased, to which fushiguro had furrowed his brows.
"I'm not...she just seems...a bit odd", fushiguro defended.
"rich coming from you", itadori scoffed. "remember when we first met? where's the finger? where's the finger?!", itadori mocked in a higher pitch.
fushiguro facepalmed as kugisaki and itadori snickered.
"and you're the one that ate the disgusting finger", fushiguro softly huffed.
"touché", kugisaki nodded in agreement.
"okay, but at least I can control it. guess I'm just built different", itadori boasted, grinning widely as his other two comrades weren't impressed in the slightest.
"to be fair, you wouldn't even be here if it weren't for gojō-sensei", kugisaki stated.
"ah, speaking of gojō-sensei, doesn't he like sweets or something? should we invite him here with us next time?", itadori asked.
the three students shared a glance with each other.
"nahhhh!"
