I get ready quickly setting everything up. I was really lucky I could at least help the army somehow, even if it was not on the Battle field. I was still worried about Steve of course, but I knew that he could manage on his own. I am the younger sibling after all.

Bucky kisses me goodbye and then I started helping attending to the wounded for a while till I felt something hard hit my head and realized that I can only see black.

I wake up realizing that I am in a cell and see Bucky strapped to a table. Same soldiers inject some sort of blue liquid in him then they pull out a book and start saying words which confuses me until I realize what they were doing. They are going to brainwash him. "No! Leave him alone!" I shout and they notice me. "How about you shut up, bitch?"

I shake my head with tears. "Leave my husband alone and take me instead." I say. They nod, leaving James strapped to the table and tie me to another table as well. They inject the same blue liquid into me as I start to feel weird and drowsy.

That's when I realize that I feel oddly super strong. Just then a bunch of men barge into the base and I smile in hope.

My husband was still repeating "Barnes, James Buchanan. Sergeant. 32557038." because he was being brainwashed for whatever reason until a familiar voice calls out "Bucky?" "Who...who is that?" I frown a bit.

"Is that..." Bucky says. "It's me, Buck." Steve says. "Steve?" Bucky asks and Steve unstraps my husband. "Where's Annie, she was captured too?" Bucky says. Steve finds me and smiles "Rox."

Steve unstraps me as well and I hug him then go to Bucky. "Doll..." He says as I look into his deep blue eyes with mine. I capture his lips in a kiss before breathing out "Are you okay?" James nods and I smile.

"This is really sweet and all but we have to go...now." Steve says and I nod. "I thought you were both dead." Steve says about us. "I thought you were smaller." Bucky and I say surprisingly in sync.

"What happened to you?" Bucky asks my big brother. "I joined the Army." Steve says. We continue moving as Bucky and I keep pressing him with questions. It's not everyday you see your older brother like this.

"Did it hurt?" I ask in concern. "Little bit." Steve replies. "Is it permanent?" Bucky asks. "So far." Steve says. "You are going to get so many girls." Bucky says and I roll my eyes at my husband's priorities.

Steve, Buck and I reach a catwalk, just to be met with the assholist asshole "Captain America. How exciting. I'm a fan of your films. So the old man managed it after all. Not quite an improvement, but impressive." Schmidt says.

"You've go no idea." Steve replies and the asshole looks pleased. "Don't I?" Schmidt replies. Schmidt swings but Steve blocks it with his sheild.

Steve drops down. "Erskine said your experiment was a failure." he says and kicks his feet to his jaw and Schmidt tumbles down.

"A failure? Oh, no, Captain." The asshole gets up to his feet. "I was his greatest success." Schmidt replies and tips off his face as I gasp softly, because all that was left is a red skull.

"You don't have one of those, do you?" Bucky jokes and I roll my eyes. This isn't good, this isn't good at all. I thought silently to myself.

"You're a liar, Captain. You pretend to be a simple soldier. But in reality you're just afraid to admit we've left humanity behind." Schmidt says as another explosion rocks the floor.

"Unlike you, I embrace it proudly. Without the masquerade...without fear." Schmidt continues. "Then how come you're running? Steve scowls from the end of the catwalk, Zola hands Skull back a box and the two of them step into the elevator and disappear. Steve pulls Bucky and I away as explosions rock the catwalk

The three of us find a gantry and we reach it. Bucky and I run on, as Steve steps on. "Hurry." Steve says. Carefully, Bucky and I limp across the gantry.

Bucky and I jump from the gantry to the other side. That's when another bomb explodes and the gantry collapses.
"There's got to be a rope or something-" I say. "GO! JUST GET OUT!" Steve shouts. "No! Not without you!" Bucky and I shout back.

"Aw, hell." Steve says and backs up. He then races for the edge. She then leaps and lands.

A/N: So I saw a Headcanon that Bucky was getting brainwashed when he and his unit got captured and decided to use it because it's depressing and makes sense 😞
