I wait patiently for my husband and brother at the Stark Expo we're all supposed to be going to. When I see James I exclaim "Oh my god, there he is!" I say and kiss him. A lot of the other girls squeal urging him over, but as of now, he only wants me.

"Ladies, you know how hard it can be putting on makeup in a car that's bouncing like a kangaroo on a trampoline. What if I told you that in just a few short years, your automobile wouldn't touch the ground at all?" Howard Stark says and hits a button. As it rises and my brother, husband and I look impressed "Ho-ly cow." James says. "You can say that again." I say and James' gaze lands on me. "Did I ever tell you that you're beautiful, doll?" he asks and I blush.

He then kisses my cheek as Howard continues. "With Stark Gravitic Reversion Technology (patent pending), you'll be able to do just tha-" Stark says, but the car falls down and I frown slightly. "I did say a few years, didn't I?" Stark says and I applaud.

I see my brother fail to get a girl. "Hey, Steve. What do you say we treat these ladies-" James says and I cross my arms "I thought you said that I was, am and am always going to be the only one for you, Playboy Barnes." I state.

James softly and kisses the crown of my head. "Of course, Doll." he whispers softly. We then both notice Steve gone and I already have a feeling I know exactly where he went.

Steve stands in front of the mirror and I sigh as, James and I walk up to him. "You're kind of missing the point of a "double date." Come on, we're gonna get a chocolate soda." Bucky says "You go ahead." Steve states.

I notice the recruitment signs and sigh. "You're really gonna do this now?" "It's a fair. I'm gonna try my luck." Steve explains. "As who? "Steve from Ohio"? They'll catch you. Or worse, they'll actually take you." James says.

I go on "Look Steve, there's a reason I became a nurse instead of joining the army. The world just doesn't except people like us." Unlike Steve, I had perfect health except my only downfall was that I am a woman.

Steve looks at James and I with a grim smile of disappointment. "You don't think I can do it." Steve says. This isn't some back alley, Steve. It's a war. Why are you so keen to fight? There're lots of other important jobs-" James says.

"You want me to sit in a factory? Collect scrap metal in my little red wagon while the men are laying down their lives? I can do as wella s them and I got no right to do any less.That's the thing you don't get, Bucky and Roxy. It's not about me." Steve declares.

"Right. 'Cause you've got nothing to prove." I say with a sigh.

A tense silence occurs and then I break it. "Hey Jamesie, we gettin' sodas?" I ask. "Yeah. We are." James says and we're both about to leave as James says.
"Promise me you won't do anything too stupid before I get back." James says.

"I can't. You're taking all the stupid with you." Steve says and I smile at the cute moment between them. "You're a punk." Bucky says and hugs Steve "You're a jerk." Bucky says.

Bucky turns to leave, but spins for another wave. "Don't win the war till I get there." Steve says.
