Chapter 2: So Your Nervous

So this going to be somewhat of a Christmas present cause I don't update on these days, I just thought I had to because guess what?! First chapter and this book is already ranked twice. First #845, New this morning #644! I can't believe it that was fast! Thanks so much guys! I hope you enjoy this!  Special shout out to one of my favorite singers and youtubers, Kurt Hugo Schneider, Chrissy, and Alex! They are super amazing and you should check them out! I'm going to start doing special shout outs to random people, soon! Keep calm& keep reading!

"Missy..." He repeated my name. He said it like he was thinking about; but I don't know what there is to think about, it's just a name- my name. He turned back to me.

"I knew you weren't a Katharine, you definitely look like a Missy." He kept smiling. What is with it and this guy with name's and looks?! "Pretty name for a pretty girl!" He sat back in his seat.

I rolled my eyes. I hated guys that flirted with every girl they see, and this was definitely one of those guys.

The bus came to an abrupt stop and I started falling forward into the isle of the bus. Then I felt a hand on my stomach, and as I looked up I could feel it pushing me back into my seat. Him. Great.

He smiled.

"Thanks." I muttered and gave him a quick smile.

"Your welcome, always happy to save damsels in distress!" He said in his perky way. So. Annoying.

"I'm no damsel, one; two, I'm not in distress..." I paused before mumbling. "I just fell." I turned away from him, yet again.

"You say potato, I say patato," he said raising his hands up to illustrate his point. I rolled my eyes for the fifth time, today.

"How 'bout I say shut up, and you shut up." I gave a fake smile with eyes that yelled 'your annoying'. "Why are you even- not to be rude- but talking to me, at all? I'm no one famous, and I'm not that pretty...I'm a complete an utter stranger."I told him trying to figure him out.

"Does someone have to be pretty or famous for me to talk to them? And what if I like talking to strangers?" He said defending himself.

"Well no-" he cut me off, then put one finger up to my mouth and shushed me. I closed my mouth in shock.

"Then I see no reason I can't talk to a stranger, much less you. In fact, I think your afraid of talking to me." He smirked.

I raised my hands, in the air. "And where could you possibly get that obscured idea?" I said totally uninterested. I turned my attention back to the window. I watched as the street lamps and the same cookie-cutter houses passed by. People just starting to wake up for their jobs and so forth.

Me- well I'm just starting an adventure, apparently with this annoying guy; of which, I didn't even know his name and now he thinks he's got me figured out.

"The way you talk to me for one, and the fact that you keep fiddling with your bracelet, might be another hint." I immediately looked down to see he was right. I frowned and stopped fiddling with it, putting my hands in my pocket.

"So..." I paused thinking of an excuse. "I could be nervous..." I retorted.

"So your nervous," he said breaking into a big smirk.

"No, I'm not!" I snapped.

"But that's what you just said..." he said.

"Well, that's not what I meant!" I turned around to see his face and gasped. He was six inches from my face. I didn't even noticed he had moved right next to me. I scooted back a little, uncomfortable with how close he was.

"But it is what you said-" I cut him off. It was finally my turn to do so.

"-Well, this is my stop." I said even though it wasn't really my stop, but here was probably the best place to get off.

I began to get up from my seat. He stood up so I could move into the isle. Well at least he's a gentleman. I grabbed my backpack and slipped my phone into my hoodie pocket. I started walking toward the bus' exit, when I turned around and realized he was following me out. I kept walking down the steps paying the driver as I got out. Pretending I was calling question ride, I picked up my iPhone and held it up to my ear.

"Hey, mom, yup, I'm at the bus station." I waited a few seconds. "Okay, see you then." I put my phone back in my pocket and turned to him.

"I'll see you later, Missy." He said and simply turned on his heel walking away with a big smirk. Well at least he bought it.

"Hey wait, I didn't even get your name?" He turned around the smirk still there.

"It's Cody, and yes if your thinking I'm lying. I'm not it's my real name." He winked at me then disappeared down a street. Cody. I shook it off, and continued down the street, after a few minutes of waiting. I crossed the busy intersection.

Cars of all kind passing by, white, black, red, etc. People of all kinds. I just put my ear buds in and plugged them into my iPhone. I went to Spotify, and went to my Favorites Playlist, I pressed shuffle, and a song immediately came on.

"Beauty and a Beat by Kurt Hugo Schneider, Chrissy Contanze, and Alex Goot"

I walked on the grass and onto the parking lot, making my way towards the mall. I put my hoodie's hood on because my ears were getting pretty cold. Then I stuffed my hands back into my pocket.

After five more minutes of walking through the mild parking lot I walked inside the big, warm mall. The sound grew louder as people shuffled by talking, texting, buying their stuff. Few bumped into me, but I didn't care.

I didn't have much money with me, but I figured this was- one the best place to eat(cheap), two a good place for an adventure.

Little did I know it just wasn't going to be the adventure I was looking for...
