Chapter Six: Speckled dark paint
Me: Dead tired but wants to write. Offers discord to choose what to work on. It wins with a landslide. So enjoy
The day had started so well, he was getting the hang of jumping between AU's.
It was something Destiny had shoved into his mind, she'd said all the portals were messy and annoying and wizard travel to noisy.
Something almost like a shortcut, which Sans and Sans type used when in an AU.
Apparently, they couldn't use this trick to travel the multiverse though.
Still was cool, even if the first time he used it he ended in a huge puddle.
A mud puddle.
Thank goodness for human magic, one drying and cleaning charm and he was good to go.
Today he'd stopped on a word the monsters all lived by the sea, it was rather Hawaii like and beautiful.
He planned to set up camp there for the night, humming to himself he set up a campfire to cook a few fish he'd caught. He'd gutted them and prepared the flesh, he'd even found a few wild herbs and he couldn't wait to taste the meal.
Caw cawwwww
A birds cry got his attention, his eye lights rolled seeing a few birds fighting over the gut further down the beach where he'd left in innards for the wild life.
"Birds," he said in amusement.
Annd....
Then this happened.
"Wait, my fish!" he cried in dismay, as a strange skeleton grabbed him and dragged him off like a sack of potato's over his shoulder. What the, the guy had a huge freaking crack in his skull.
He hadn't even seen or felt the other monster.
The fire and fish vanished, as he felt them being pulled through a portal.
"Um..." Harry said confused, as the strange skeleton put him down on a chair in a kitchen.
"Stay," the skeleton told him in a deep voice, Harry shivered and stayed on the chair.
The cracked skull skeleton vanished into another room, Harry sat there awkwardly wondering just why he'd been randomly kidnapped.
Thump
Crash
"Damnit Dust!" a dark voice called.
"Who stole my chocolate!" another voice yelled.
Wow, there were a lot of people here... very noisy people.
Crack head returned to the kitchen, food supplies in his hand.
"Good, stayed," Crackhead said.
"Um... yeah," Harry replied lamely.
"You, are going to learn to cook," Crack head said.
"But I know how to cook," Harry protested.
"I saw the fish," Crack replied, Harry blushed he'd been cooking with limited supplies and no local money... he couldn't exactly buy stock.
"I didn't have money to buy anything," he protested.
"Hmm... stay and learn, going teach you how to survive," Crackhead said.
"We better be cooking with fish, I really wanted fish," Harry pouted.
"Fish is fine, the boss likes fish," Crack said "I'm Horror."
"Harry," the skeleton child replied.
"Harry, nice name. Ever cooked with trout?" Horror asked.
"No," he answered, for one thing even when he thought himself human it was rather expensive.
And thus, Harry began his first of what would become many cooking lessons with Horror.
OoOoO
Nightmare wondered through the castle, if he didn't know for a fact he knew exactly where Dream was he swore he was in his kitchen as he felt a magic very similar to his twin.
"Oh... I never knew you should cut fish that way," an unfamiliar child's voice said, a strange accent to there voice.
"Best cut," came Horrors voice.
Nightmare smiled a bit, due to his skull injury Horror rarely spoke. When he did he either spoke choppy or more normal speaking patterns, he knew Horror didn't like people reactions to his crack or vocal issues so rarely spoke outside of the group.
Horror always did have a soft spot for children, and he didn't mean to eat them either.
Careful not to disrupt Horrors apparent cooking lesson, he peeked in.
He froze at seeing the child.
Familiar type magic, eyelights a strange shape and the slight body shape based on the parents.
This could only be his nephew.
A nephew he knew had been missing since just after birth, he only knew about it due to Ink asking error if he could find the child.
Palette Roller.
