Somewhere, in a dark cave, a Necromancer pleaded to Lakia, the demon of this world.
"Please, oh, dark one! Show me your will, vitality, and strength! Show me how higher than me you are!"
And, at this, Lakia was intrigued. Ever eager to fool with her followers, she hid in the shadows.
"How curious. . ." She muttered to herself slyly.
So she decided to showed herself to the Necromancer, just this once. "I would, dear worshiper, but what am I to do?" She pleaded dramatically.
The Necromancer thought, then responded with this. "Bring me an angel, great one! Tear one down from the heavens, just for me."
Now, this demon would normally kill her disciple for asking such a laborious task of her, but this time, maybe she could use this to her advantage. "Of course! What a marvelous use of my power! Through you, I will take a lustrous angel from the heavens, and bring them to you!"
So, Lakia gave the Necromancer this power. And together, they cursed an angel to fall. The ritual was prepared, and after a short time, the two could see the angel taking form, there within the cave where Lakia and the Necromancer stood.
'This is my chance!' The demonic deity thought.
Upon seeing the angel, Lakia attacked the Necromancer, eager to have the spawn for herself.
"My Queen of darkness, what are you doing?" He asked, feeling the cold metal of the dagger's blade under his neck.
The deity cackled. "Please, disciple. If you truly believe I would let you have something so righteous to yourself . . ." She thrust the dagger into his throat. ". . . You're more foolish than I thought."
Lakia grinned gleefully as the Necromancer's body fell to the floor of the cave, leaving a puddle of red beneath it.
"A-aaah?"
Lakia quickly turned heel to see the figure sitting before her. A brand new minion, all for her own . . .
Looking at the angel, Lakia studied it. She was short, had long black hair that faded to white, and was very, very, scared and weak. She was petite, and thin, with very pale skin. The Angel tried, time and time again to speak, but it only came out in sputters and gibberish. Her wings were a bright, pure white, and rested promptly at her sides.
The symbol of righteousness tried to stand, but fell back to the ground immediately.
"No, no . . . Hush, dear. You don't need to move an inch. You're in my world now, with me. No one will hurt you, not while I'm here." The demon spoke sweetly to the smaller figure.
Lakia held the angel's head in her hands and peered into her eyes. They were both a light sky blue.
"Hm . . . . Well, that won't do. . . .Let's try something new, shall we? Because . . . . ," Lakia inched her thumb nail closer and closer to the angel's right eye. " . . . . No one will hurt you here . . ."
The angel screamed as Lakia scratched her right eye, piercing her long nail into it. The pained creature tried to tear away from Lakia, but she grabbed the angel again.
" . . . .No one but me."
———
Lakia then used her magic, and brought the angel from the mortal realm to her domain, below the world. But when she got there, Cielo was waiting for her.
Cielo was known as the protector of angels in this world. And as such, the character standing next to Lakia, was hers. Thus, it was no question as to why Cielo was sitting patiently on Lakia's own throne.
"Well, shit." Lakia mumbled.
"Lakia. What. The fuck?!!?" Cielo said, standing. "You trick your follower, take an angel from MY Sky lands, and then kill that very disciple?! What is this tomfoolery????"
"Well, TECHNICALLY I was just following the followers' wishes. Taking your Angel was what I was asked! So, . . . if you think about it, . . . I'M ALSO A VICTIM, RIGHT??!?!??"
Cielo looked unamused. "No, Lakia. You're gonna give me my angel, revive your dead follower, and then pretend this never-"
Cielo then turns her eyes to the trembling angel beside Lakia. She sees her eyes.
"You didn't!" Cielo spat at her.
"Hm? Oooohhh, but I did." Lakia cooed, checking her nails with a smirk.
The angel's right pupil—the one Lakia scratched—was now purple, and this meant that she had been marked by Lakia, and could never be carried to heaven again.
"Sorry, Ciel, guess you were just a little too late, hm?"Lakia mocked. "Just wasn't as quick to the punch, as usual, huh?"
Satisfied with her taunting, Lakia began to walk past Cielo to her throne, the angel in her arms. When suddenly, Cielo stopped her.
"Let's make a wager!" She said, eagerly.
"A wager?" Lakia was immediately intrigued. "Well . . ."
Cielo knew this was Lakia's major weak point, making bets.
". . . . Fine! What do you suppose?" Lakia blurted out, suddenly into the idea.
Cielo thought for a moment. "I say, we make her mortal. Then, we put her on earth and see how she lives her life. If she develops to be as you are, she will remain in here. But if she redeems herself in her new life, she will return with me to heaven. Yet you must allow me to give her a blessing as well. Deal?"
Lakia thought for a few seconds. "Fine. Deal."
The two of them shook hands and the deal was done. Cielo walked up to the angel and touched her forehead.
"I'm awfully sorry, you've been thrown into a very . . . . Tricky situation. But I give you this, A Blessing of Cielo. With this, we can see everything you see." Suddenly, a streak of the angel's hair turned green, a symbol of the Blessing.
"I know you wouldn't leave me . . .right?" Cielo's tone seemed to become more demanding near the end of that, making the Angel tremble.
"Be Good now, little one." Cielo says, a serious expression plastered on her face as she stands up.
"Well, now all we need is a name. I'll make the first name, you make the last name?" Lakia asked Cielo.
"Sure, why not?" They spoke for a bit of time, then turned back to the angel.
"We have made a name." Cielo started. "So, good luck to you. . . .'' Lakia picked up. They then spoke in unison. " . . . Sirus Millenia!"
And with that, Sirus entered the world. When she was dropped off, she seemed to be around the human age of 15. Sirus was left in the middle of a wooded area, bare, and wingless. No clear direction to go, no person to turn to, nothing. She was scared, unsure of how to act. That is until, someone walked close from a distance.
"Uh, hey! You over there . . . You okay?"
Looking toward the sound fearfully, Sirus spotted another girl steadily approaching. The newcomer weld a hefty claymore in her hands, and the sight of it made Sirus fall backwards to the ground in fear; terrified of being maimed.
"Whoa, whoa, relax! I won't hurt you, I won't hurt you. . . Here," the mercenary dropped the weapon and nudged it a fair distance away with her foot. "Nothing to be scared of, 'k?"
The Sirus hesitantly nodded, attempting to stand back up before falling again.
"Easy, easy . . . I-I'll help you." The mercenary said. "Can I ask, what are you doing out here? Naked, in the middle of the woods, I mean."
Sirus stayed silent, still unable to use her voice. In time, Sirus would learn that the traveling mercenary was named Vixie. And, for the next 4 years, they would live together. Vixie taught Sirus how to read, write, speak, and basically everything else to know about how to be a mortal again. But eventually. . . Sirus had to move on. After 4 years of living together, Sirus left Vixie to fullfill her two deities bet. . . . . But. . . . Who would she pick? And more specifically, after living a full human life, would Sirus feel satisfied with picking one out of the two evils presented to her? Sirus would just have to see. . . .
. . . But little did she know that there was a much bigger adventure in store for her. Bigger than any deity that could be. . .
