Ventus wasn't sure what to feel right now. Should he feel honored or be creeped out somehow?

"Err... How long do you plan to sit there and watch me?" Ventus twiddled with his fingers, one of his small quirks when he felt nervous and embarrassed. He was sitting face to face with the gamer just in the summit on the Land of Departure under the starry sky. His face flushed beet red when (f/n) squealed; averts his eyes somewhere when (f/n) looks away, a small blush dusting her cheeks. But when he looked back, now with a small blush for his own, (f/n) already has a large smile on her face still facing on the other direction. So large that Ven could tell that her control is slowly slipping away.

"I'm so sorry. It's just that..." She finally stopped at this point. (F/n) was having trouble on what to say but Ven just patiently waited for her explanation. Ventus didn't know if she truly is the girl Sora and Riku talked about. She didn't seem to act like how they pictured her to be but that doesn't mean he has to lower his guard at this point.

"Look, you know how I am not from somewhere here right?" She instead asked, and Ven blinked, the blush on his face now longer gone.

"I was informed, but I didn't think it was that serious." He frowns. He was perfectly not being honest. He really think it is serious. She is in a world that is completely different from her own, and she is all alone by her own self with no one knowing about her whereabouts.

"It is. I'm a—"

"Gamer." Ven could feel his lips twitch in slight amusement when (f/n) just gave him a deadpan expression, "I wager that you had enough being cut off."

"You don't say?" She scowls at him, but her eyes says otherwise. They are filled with mirth and Ven is sure that she is trying to lighten the mood with a small jest. "Riku cut me off this morning and I actually had enough having everyone acting smart on me."

"Does this mean I'm plenty smart?" Ven asks, his grin not faltering. But honestly, deep inside, he feels hopeful. Aqua and Terra babied him enough the past years before his long sleep that sometimes he felt that he is not ready to take some responsibility. He is sure he can do anything but he couldn't be sure too. He honestly feels a bit nervous when there are some responsibilities he needed to take.

"Nah, you're plenty cute." The gamer shrugged at this point, and then grins when Ven flushed at her laid-back compliment. She is sure that she took him speechless, but what did she know? "Oh, and quite determined and passionate too." (F/n) was now looking straight at him, grinning.

"Err..." Ven clears his throat, looking away as he felt the heat on his cheeks growing hotter. The gamer is snickering at him. Ven was sure she is laughing at his vain attempts to brush away the redness on his cheeks, and he looked at her, scowling. The girl finally laughs at this, making Ven even more flustered, "St-stop fooling around!"

"I'm not, trust me!" She exclaims. However, with that large grin on her face, Ven is having a difficult time to believe her; and he frowns even more. "Really!" She laughed again this time, waving her hands at him, "It's just that you're one of my favorite characters here so I'm having a difficult time to remain my composure."

"I'm...one of your fav..." If the earlier comments didn't make him flush that much, he is now sure this time.

She nodded, "Yup! And honestly, you should watch your back from this day onwards because I don't think I would be able to control myself. Just saying." She smiles.

Ven was not horrified at this. He is terrified. He could feel his heart dropping at the depths of his stomach, and he gulped, feeling fear for the first time this year, "You're not serious are you?"

"I'm plenty serious! Like I've said, you're one of my favs but don't worry too much! I'll do my best to control myself." She proudly declares, standing up from her seat and flashing him a comforting smile. If that is made to make him feel comfortable, it's not working. If anything, it only made the blonde feel restrained as he could only think of one thing: why him?

"Anyway, just think of it as a mere observation. I tend to observe my subjects when I find them highly appealing and intriguing, and you happen to fit those category." Then she pauses, having that pondering look on her face before it lighten up, "All of you fit in those category so everyone is all my subjects."

"What? Your subjects?" He asks, his eyes widened. He now feels completely lost. He wasn't sure if she is being serious or jesting this time.

"Well, yes, I mean— at least, that's how I call you guys. Pretty formal huh?" The way how she chirps sent a chill down his spine. It was so eerily cheerful. It felt as if she has something on her mind that only grown-ups could think. She already has her arms akimbo, saying, "Anyway, I gotta get going. I forgot to tell Sora and Riku about this information, so you have my thanks."

"You're welcome?" Ven says slowly, his voice laced with slight confusion.

"No problem!" She gave a thumbs up, smiling, "Just think of it as training. Improving your presence of mind and keeping your senses keen is something to take seriously. At least that's what I heard so you should be thankful."

"Thank you?" Ventus is really confused now. He feels as if she is doing this on a purpose.

(F/n) snickers, "You're welcome! Welp! Gotta get going. See you later Ven!" Then she left the blonde as she hums a lively tune.

Once she's out of earshot, Ven could only daze up at the starry sky. He didn't know what just transpired in this place but there's only one thing he should have done right at the beginning.

He should've believed when Sora and Riku said that she's one lady of serious case.
