AN : Thanks to all you guys .. for your support ..it's been 1 year since Miruthan series started .🙏🙏🙏😘😘😘This is a small chap that moves the story forward .Am sorry if it's dragging .
There will be 3_4 chaps of flashback story before entering the present happenings of this story .

The inauguration of the four scan centres , RANGAN SCANS in Trichy took place simultaneously at the same time .

Till then , Kathir who was mainly associated with the constructions of buildings alone ,had extended his hands into the construction of Scan centers .

There was difference in constructing buildings for residence and offices , from the construction of corporate hospitals .

There had to specific measures and plan taken for building Operation Theatres and Emergency unit with all the latest medical facilities awailable under one roof .

Of which the , Scans and Screening , Diagnostic Labs , were of special mention .

The machinery needed for CT and MRI scans costed a lump some of many crores .
He noticed that the doctors with whom he was associated with had taken special loans for the implementation and purchase of such costly machinery .
The technical part as well required people with good expertise .

Exactly at that time his friend ,Dr.Shyam , a surgeon from Trichy had approached him , for the construction of a corporate hospital , in the land that belonged to Kathir himself .

Late Pandian had purchased a good number of acres of lands ,in Trichy name of Lakshmi ( her home town) , the rights of which had directly desended to Kathir alone .

Since his 18 th year the lands were being just the surveillance of his mama Sadhasivam without being utilised properly .

Sadha had all the documents clear enough for his nephew but he nor the family hadn't used those lands for their business because they were exclusively bought by Pandian alone for his wife .

So they had left it to Kathir s decision .

It was when Dr.Shyam approached Kathir for his use , it striked in Kathir s mind .

Shyam had asked to take it up for loans only .

( Doctors laam yelainga paa ...nambunga ! )

But Kathir had other plans .

Since the lands were his ,he planned to construct Ultra modern Scan Centres , in all his four centres of Trichy as he realised the city wasn't that much updated with the modern facilities when it came to investigations parts , when compared to Chennai .

As well , TRICHY , being his mother s hometown he knew the place very well since childhood .

He needn't sell his property too to someone else .

With his own dad' s land he could make a very much profitable business along with useful services rendered for people .

That was the baseline of everything .

The Family especially Mr.Ranganathan was very happy with his grand son' s decision .

The Bhoomi pooja was started with all posh and pomp and within a year all the four centres were ready .

The technical staff for all the four centres were being selected one month before the inauguration itself .

The huge equipments and machinery were fully implemented and were very much in working condition from day one itself .

The inauguration day !!!

It was on that day only everything started .

Sadhasivam along with Uma and the whole family attended the function in all four places .

Kathir had asked each of his aunt's to take responsibility for the lighting ceremony in each centers .

It was in that centre where Uma ,lit the kuthuvilaku , Sadha noticed his childhood bestfriend Murugan attend the function along with his daughter Mullai .

Mullai had been recruited as one among the Biomedical Assistants of the four centres .

Something in Mullai reminded Sadha of his late sister Lakshmi !!

Though the friends accidentally bumped into each other the frienship and bonding remained the same .

Sadha s eyes followed Mullai that whole day . His mind made quick calculations .He asked Uma s opinion about Mullai there itself , without even knowing any further detail about her , except that she was his friend' s daughter .
Uma' s opinion was his final _ and it was a huge positive opinion .

Sadha remembered that Murugan too belonged to their community .

Kathir didn't seem much to notice Mullai that day .

For him , she was one among his new staff . She was a newbie , a technical assistant in one of his scan centres .

That was it !!

But Sadha didn't let it go .

He knew that Kathir was slowly diverted towards his friend' s sister Pragya ,these days .

Her visits to their Chennai home had increased though she always was accompanied by her brother.

As well Sadha didn't fail to notice Kathir ' s pub visits had increased in recent times .

He took part in parties causually after his return from abroad .

Sadha was very well able to read Pragya s mind .

The way her eyes settled in Kathir were solid proof .

But what shit scared Sadha to rush in with Kathir s matrimonial proceedings was Kathir s affinity towards Pragya .

In recent times , Sadha noticed Kathir speaking high of Pragya s work as well threw appreciative looks on her appearance .

Sadha ' s innervoice alarmed high !!

And once he got to see Mullai in Trichy ,he didn't wait anymore .

Without Kathir s knowledge he brought up the discussion with his family .

He straight away said his thoughts about Mullai .

Sadha : Appa , akka ....inaiku kaalaila namma Murugan' ah paathen .

Saraswathi ' s hubby : Mama , enna ennavo puthu ponna pathi solra maathy adukuringa ?

He came straight to the point .

Saraswathi s hubby dr Skandan : Adra sakkai !

Each one reacted differently .

Ranganathan was quiet . He observed and listened to what others spoke .

Uma showed a candid snap clicked that day morning itself .

She still spoke with the liberty of being the youngest daughter of the big household .

The whole family was confused and scared now .

They didn't know Kathir s stand in this .

He hadn't announcement anything officially .

But he was capable of doing such things .

Till then he had been a gem .

The family didn't want to loose him to some unknown girl.

There was silence in the room .

All of them wanted the same _ they didn't want Pragya .

At same time they wanted a right match for Kathir .

But Sadha seemed to be 200 percent confident of his choice .

The family now were tuned and thought about Sadha s predictions about Kathir .
They felt he was right .

By and by the total family admitted the pros and cons of their prince and finally decided to seek the hand of Mullai .

Ofcourse without the knowledge of Kathir ....they didn't want to disturb him without confirming the horoscopes and the acceptance of the bride s side .

Murugan' was happy as well as confused on hearing the proposal through Sadha .

The horoscopes were exchanged .

To everyons suprise they matched perfectly .

The whole family fixed an auspicious day and went in person to meet the bride and her family .

It was a small affair arranged in Murugan' s home at Musiri .

All the elders except Kathy and the older grandchildren went to Mullai s house .

She received them in a simple attire but a heart warming smile and mercifulled eyes .

Adorned in the traditional bottle green _ majenta bordered silk saree of Parvathi , simple gold jhumkas , an age old white stoned haram and a small thin gold necklace , hair loosely pleated and pinned with her signature Mullaipop strands , maroon glass bangles with mehendi topped fingers and clattering anklets , she just like that wom over all the hearts of the Ranganathan household !!

After a simple refreshment , Mrs. Periyanayagi pinned the jasmine strand they had taken along on Mullai s pleat and gifted her a diamond necklace that Mullai immediately refused !!

As well her parents too !!

Understanding their minds the elderly woman said ,
