SUMMARY!

KALANI SAMARASEKERA and FINN WOLFHARD were born on the same day, in the same month and in the same year. The only two differences were: Finn was born at 11:30pm in Vancouver, Canada and Kalani was born at 11:57pm in Los Angeles, California.

They both have an affinity for weird indie movies ( Kalani is a HUGE fan of Terrence Malick ) and for 60s/70s music. It's a wonder that it took them so long to meet. 

Kalani was hiding out in LA with her family and her best friends, who include Iris Apatow and Olivia Rodrigo. They live life like they're in a teen movie. Iris and Kalani take them out driving to random places, blasting music and eating all the In N Out they could possibly want. The possibilities were endless for the children of LA.

Finn Wolfhard is also living in a teen movie, but quite literally. He's just got off filming season 3 of Stranger Things and he's heading into loads more projects. He's fully booked, that is, except for the week and a half he's supposed to spend in LA for an audition. They hadn't confirmed a date, but this movie was important to him, so he'd stay in LA for the window of time. 

He has friends in LA: Jaeden Martell and Wyatt Oleff, but his manager pushes him to get in contact with Iris Apatow again. Apparently it would be good for publicity. One night ( that's heavily posted on Instagram ) and he'll be good. Then he can do whatever he wants. 

Iris ( the ( self proclaimed ) wannabe Paris Hilton ) and Finn set the date and he's introduced to her friends: Olivia ( the baby ) and Kalani ( the mom friend ). Maybe that night won't be so bad.
