SUMMARY!

LILY SINCLAIR'S just transferred from Ilvermorny. Her parents just had to get divorced during her 6th year, making her dad sweep her England, aka where he's from, for her last year of schooling. He won the court case. It was about time they realized it. They were good friends, but not as husband and wife and the divorce was a long time coming. But, once she graduates, she's leaving everything and going somewhere where no one will find her or disturb her. 

When she arrives at the castle, even though she's begrudgingly there, she has to admit that there's something about the place. 

It was awkward, walking in with a bunch of 11 year olds to the weird ( very binary ) sorting system ( in her opinion ), but the headmaster wouldn't let her be sorted privately. She opted not to sit on the 11 year old sized stool, but instead, stand as the sorting hat tried to place her. And it certainty tried. It was used to dealing with 11 year olds, who had very little sense of self, direction and education. 

So, the hat sat and sat on Lily's head as she conversed with it. Getting impatient, she asked if it wanted to go for a walk or something ( it talked so it had to be living right? maybe the fresh air would help ). So, she does, but was looking up at the hat, as if she was really talking to it, thus causing her to bump into someone who was standing in the front of the Hall ( for a reason Lily can't figure out ). 

Surprisingly, instead of pushing her off, the person holds her elbows, steadying her, as the hat makes its decision. As it yells out "SLYTHERIN!", she takes it off and looks up into honey colored, surprised eyes. She smiled softly and thanked him, before turning around, but then turning back to him, not knowing what to do or where to go ( because she doesn't know where the hat goes after nor does she know where the Slytherin table is ). 

And that's how JAMES POTTER met Lily. Lily Sinclair, however, would soon find out that being in Slytherin house ( which she immediately deemed the best because she was in it ), was not all that it was cracked up to be. In a mere matter of hours, she would learn about the rampant blood prejudice that ran through the veins of the school and the Wizarding World in England ( which was out-dated in America, maybe her grandfather would've been slightly prejudice, but that's it ). She would also learn about the deep house rivalry that was in place, specifically between hers and the boy that she bumped into's. 

Lily Sinclair does not care about any of that shit. She will do what she wants, when she wants ( with moderation of course ), so donning gogo boots and a skirt that's shorter than the norm ( but if they don't have a dress code, then who are they to stop her? ), she makes friends with the Marauders as well as less stuffy members of her own house ( aka Amelia Greengrass, her new best friend ). And falls in love with honey brown eyes. 

However, the pots of honey she grew to adore only had eyes for a set of emeralds ( that quite frankly did not like him in that way! Get a grip, Potter! ). But, Lily Sinclair is forced to watch as James finally gets the girl ( Lily Evans decides that maybe it wouldn't hurt to finally give him a shot ). But, trouble happens in paradise, especially when you're in love with the idea of someone and the other person was never in love with in the first place. 

A couple months later, it's trouble when Lily Sinclair and his friends visit James's parents over spring holiday and they ask if Lily's the one he's dating. It's double trouble when he says yes. It's triple trouble when Lily finds out they have Dragon Pox and want James and Lily ( whichever one that may be ) to get married. But, Lily isn't one to deny someone their dying wish.

𝐢. Wow that was long and kind of really bad ( I'm so sorry ) 

𝐢𝐢. So it's pining tied in with ( kind of ) fake dating ( it'll be a wild ride, that's for sure ) 

𝐢𝐢𝐢. Basically, James didn't tell his parents ( because he knew they were sick ) that him and Evans broke up ( his parents were really hoping for him to marry ) and I guess he forgot about the shared first name and so they embark on a fake engagement, to please his parents in their last couple of months ( James, however, does not fall in love with her until after they start their fake relationship. He said she was Lily because he was desperate )

𝐯. I will require you to start the story when she comes to Hogwarts ( and have it be a slow burn mwahaha ) 

𝐯𝐢. her parents are both good people and they love her and she loves them, but the divorce was messy

𝐯𝐢𝐢. I view her as an water sign ( she gives me scorpio energy tbh ) with major fire placements

𝐢𝐱. She is a pureblood ( but the pureblooded culture in America is relaxed/non-existent, so that's what she's used to )

𝐱. Lily ( Evans ) and Amelia end up being gay for each other ( or bi on Lily's behalf ), you can't change my mind ( but James is oblivious ) 

𝐱𝐢. She has siblings, but they've all graduated

𝐱𝐢𝐢. The curriculum at Ilvermorny is more advanced than the one at Hogwarts ( probably because it's newer ). So, Lily has mastered wandless magic and is more advanced ( in some respects ) than the other people in her year. password is your favorite boy band.
