SUMMARY!

JAMES SIRIUS POTTER is 23. That means responsibility, life goals and a realistic job. His pipe dream of becoming a quidditch player didn't work out, so he went the next sensible job: Auror. He knew he lived in his father's shadow, especially in that field, but what other option did he have? There's a reason why nearly everyone in his family became an Auror, it was genetic, he had skill and he also had the reflexes of a chaser. He's smart with no motivation. He's a damsel in distress.

LIZZIE GOLD, a half-blood former Slytherin and a year younger than the famous James Sirius Potter, not that he'd remember her. She's an Auror on the rise and has ambition to become the next Harry Potter or Kingsley Shacklebolt. Notorious around the department for the cherry lollipops that she has in her mouth. She's a mix of wit with a small amount of sweet. She's a cherry bomb.

The head of the auror department, Arthur Shacklebolt, needs two young Aurors to take a case. The obvious first choice would be Lizzie and he wanted to pick a different partner, but Harry put in a 'special request' for James to be on it as well.

James, still hung up on his quidditch dreams, doesn't want to do this ( though he has the capability ) and Lizzie wants someone who'll take it seriously.
