Chapter 9 ~ Cope with Negativity~

"The magic that you cast - will not always last

Everything the girl dreamed will once more, become what it was before

"And now I have to go," "Please don't go just yet,"

"The magic is dissolving away."

"So let us bid each other farewell," "I won't say goodbye!"

"And now, I beg of you..." "Please do not cry."

"Please don't leave my side-!!'"

(Y/N) P.O.V

Drip... drip...drip...

The tears fell from my face slowly and into the carpet. This had to be the longest goodbye in the history  of goodbye. The longer it dwelled on, the more the pain i could feel. I just couldn't do it.

"Look, if it makes you feel any better- i'll finally be able to rest." Tadashi offered. I nodded as i stood up, looking out the giant window. People walking past and not really noticing the fact that a girl had just made her first best friend today.

And her first friend was a ghost whom she didn't seem scared by. He granted her all her wishes, made her a princess, let her fly, transformed her bedroom... And now he was going to leave.

He was going to leave the girl the people down on the streets hadn't noticed. And that girl would be all alone again for what would be the millionth time.

No one would notice me if i walked down the footpath now. Supposedly at school, no one would seem to care if a 17 year old like me was walking down the path all alone. I pressed my face against the cold glass pane, struggling to see through. As the seconds ticked on by, The glass pane had become dirty and clouded with dust.

I backed away to hear my foot steps, the creaking sound of the wooden floor boards. The ones which had been replaced y Tadashi's magic. I looked down to see the floor it's usual wooden boards once more. And soon enough, everything in the room transformed before my eyes to reveal the old attic it once was.

The old mirror moved back to where i had placed it in front of the filthy window and the lights dimmed.

Everything was the same, everything but the mirror and Tadashi. The old mirror had begun to glow as Tadashi walked behind me. I turned around to see him smiling sadly at me. "What's going on?" I asked fearfully. I already knew the answer before i even asked the question.

"It's time for me to go... all the magic has reset to it's former arrangement and has returned to the mirror." Tadashi explained. "Any second, the mirror portal will open to allow me to return- and that is where we shall say good bye and part ways." He sighed.

I stared up at the old mirror as the frame began to glow, my mirror reflection staring back at me. Tadashi placed a hand on my shoulder and gave me a light squeeze. That's when i noticed I couldn't see Tadashi in the mirror.

"Your reflection isn't here." I pointed out.

"Of course not... i wouldn't appear in photo's or reflections or anything of the sort! I'm a magical being...i no longer live in this dimension... i can no longer live here like i used to." He said.

"I just have one more question." I said as the mirror glowed brighter. "Instead of me... why did'n't you choose to help your brother?" I asked. Tadashi thought about his response for a bit before giving a full answer.

"I guess i want Hiro to move on and he won't move on if he sees me... Hiro can't be sad forever and by seeing me, i would increase that sadness, i'd be a reminder that i am gone." Tadashi said. i nodded as i returned to look at my reflection.

I saw myself alone once more as the glass began to fog up. Soon, i could no longer see anything, all i saw was swirling grayish clouds. "I guess the portal is a little slow..." Tadashi mumbled as the clouds started to roll away.

I continued to stare after the mirror. What would happen if i break the mirror? Would he become human again? That's nonsense- he can't come alive again... would he be able to stay? i don't care about the magic...I decided against trying- Tadashi was right, there isn't a point in this honestly and i'd probably ruin things for him. That's when Tadashi turned to face me and placed a hand on my shoulder. "If you ever get stuck on something... just remember to always look for a new angle." He advised.

"What does that mean?" I asked confused.

"You will understand..." Tadashi said, smiling a true smile. The smile that made me happy no matter what. "All in good time." He grinned. "All in good time."
