Chapter 3 ~ A little bout You~
"And it seemed that all the wheels and gears of fate, began to turn starting that day
I wondered if I were to call you my first "friend" would it be okay?
Now I hesitantly reached and placed my hand, against the mirror over yours and
It all began (the flow of magic) 'Won't you please say my name-'"
(Y/n) P.O.V
I tilted my head in curiosity. i was interested in what this figure had to say but also surprised that they wanted to be my friend- no one had ever said such a thing to me before. "Who are you?' I had finally asked.
The male pulled his hand up. "Yeah, i know, you're probably slightly freaked out that a random 18 year old is standing in a mirror but it's okay I swear." He replied.
"What's your name?" i repeated. The guy smiled softly at me.
"I'm Tadashi.... Tadashi Hamada." He explained.
"Um... hi...i'm (Y/n)..." I mumbled softly. Tadashi's grin only widened.
"Hi (Y/n)..." Tadashi said. i pointed at him.
"How are you doing that?" I asked.
"You mean appearing in your mirror?" Tadashi guessed. "Let's just say i'm a magician."
"Oh... i must be dreaming then..." I sighed. So much for this being a reality... on the brighter side, at least if he turns out to be a maniac killer, i won't actually die.
"No! You are very much awake... trust me, i know it's hard to believe but you are awake!" Tadashi exclaimed, hastily placing a hand on the cool glass. I stared at his hand before placing my hand on top of his, surprised to feel a warm patch of heat as if his hand were warming up the glass.
"I am awake?" I asked myself. It couldn't be! There had to be a logical explanation! I must have fallen asleep in class... or passed out ....or gotten sick... DIED!!! I can't truly be... "Awake?" I said aloud.
Tadashi nodded as i processed the new information, both our hands in our laps. "Why did you come here?" I asked.
"I would listen through the mirror to all your issues... i want to help... it's the only thing i really care about... i want to be your friend." He smiled. i however, frowned. "Is something wrong?" He asked as soon as he saw my facial expression.
"You're doing this out of pity..." I said.
"No! You have the wrong idea!" he began to fret, waving his hands around int he air.
"Thank's for the help...but no thanks, i'm good on my own." I said, walking over to grab the white sheet of cloth to cover the mirror,
"Hang on!" He called as i lifted the sheet up.
"Yes?" I asked impatiently.
"Just give me a chance..." He said. "I know it sounds strange and it's a lot to comprehend but give me once chance!" Tadashi exclaimed. I stared at him. I stared for so long, my arms went numb. i dropped the white sheet and sighed.
"Okay then... Tadashi... i'll give you a chance."I muttered.
"Seriously?! Great!" Tadashi beamed. "So... how are you going?" He asked.
"Okay i guess..." I shrugged, sitting on the floor once more.
"Well it's a start...how old are you?"
"17..." i muttered, staring straight into his face. He tried to start a conversation multiple times and failed. I guess i was just really boring. However, no matter how many times i claimed i was not interesting, Tadashi would say that there was a reason he chose to hang with me...
Was that meant to make me feel good about myself because it didn't really do anything... That's when Tadashi asked me a strange question. "On a scale from one to ten, how would you rate your pain?"
My pain? what had he meant? "Physical? or emotional?" I asked. Tadashi thought about it.
"On a scale from one to ten, how do you see your life?" One being death like and ten being god like." I went quiet once more. His questions only seemed to be getting more and more private as the conversation went on. "Why do you always feel like this?" "What do your parents do about it?" "Have you hurt yourself?"
My answer was just as sad or sadder. "I always feel left out, my parents do nothing and i don't hurt myself."
Tadashi nodded and changed the subject abruptly, talking about old memories at his high school. While he spoke however, my brain couldn't get over the fact that he had LISTENED. Out of everyone, he took some time to listen to me.
It suddenly wasn't as if i had died or if i was invisible, he had listened and was caring and nice and... A first friend.
Tadashi Hamada was my first ever friend...after years and years of seeing a group of friends hang out and laugh together,i finally had the chance to do the very same...
And it was all because of my new best friend...my first best friend, Tadashi Hamada...
