(Y/n) P.O.V

I stared as the rolling clouds in the mirror vanished. The reflection in the mirror now only showed the room in which Tadashi was in before, a small bedroom. The frame glowed brightly as Tadashi walked past me and up to the entrance.

As soon as i thought he was gonna walk off, he turned around and crushed me in a bone crushing hug.

Within those few seconds, all the bottled up emotions that we had no idea were bottled up were released. Tears, smiles, hugs, the stuff we all need to feel comfort. I cried, long, running rivers as Tadashi let go of me, taking the warm feeling of happiness with him. 

He walked towards the portal and hesitated.

He seemed to be thinking about something important. I stayed silent as  he turned around once more. We had a small staring competition before he sighed and ruffled my hair. "I'll really miss you (Y/n)..." Tadashi said. 

"For me as well." I agreed. Tadashi turned around before i held him back. "Will i ever see you again?" I asked him hopefully. This can't be over, it CAN'T!!! Tadashi sighed and shook his head, caressing my cheek before patting the top of my head. I guess it CAN...

"Only in your memories..." He said. "That's all you will have to remember me." Tadashi nodded before chuckling lightly. "It's funny... as soon as i found out about this job i had to complete to be able to finally rest... i didn't want to remember anyone or anything as i didn't want to forget Hiro...my brother." Tadashi smiled. "But now..." He droned out.

"Now?" I asked him, wiping my leaking eyes.

"Now? Well i wish i could remember everything... with you and Hiro." He sighed. I widened my eyes in shock.

"You mean..."

"Yeah- i'll lose all memories...i'll be like a robot being reset..." Tadashi said.

"So i will only see you in my memories... until it's time for me to do what you're doing?" I asked.

"Yep, that's how it works." Tadashi confirmed. I hugged Tadashi once more.

"Well then...last hug." I whispered. Tadashi laughed.

"That was something our Aunt Cass did." He said.

"She sounds lovely." I smiled back.

"Yeah...she was." Tadashi grinned. We separated the hug and turned to look at the mirror. "Good bye (Y/n)" He said.

I smiled back. "Bye Tadashi- thank you so much...for everything." The words burned my mouth as i said them. It hurt deeply but holding him back would do no good.

We all have to learn to let go of things in order to move on.

Tadashi waved good bye as he stepped through the mirror's golden frame, vanishing inside. 

The glass began to shine a bright white to the point where even i couldn't look at it. A few tears escaped as i heard a loud smash and a gust of wind blow forcefully at me. Tiny needles flew by as I shielded my eyes. 

I stayed in a crouched position for a few more minutes until i decided to look back. 

To my astonishment- Tadashi was right, he would never come back, it just wasn't possible. 

The needles i had felt earlier were a couple of shards of glass that had shattered from it's mirror. The mirror had a giant spiral crack in it with holes to. It looked old and beat up. That was it... The portal was closed. It was shattered. Tadashi was gone...He wouldn't be ever coming back.

Tadashi isn't  here...
