Chapter Three

The woman looked at the boy. "Are you sure?" She asked again.

Trace looked at the crazy woman. "Yeah. All I see is you and me." He replied for the millionth time he was sure. He didn't know what the woman was talking about. She kept saying that she could see his mother. That she looked to be crying and talking to someone. Trace kept looking into the mirror. He saw nothing. Just the woman, himself and the bathroom wall behind them. Stepping down from the stool he walked away. The woman watched him go then she turned back to the window. Fogged it up and wrote "help us"

~~~
The parents stared at the mirror. The mother could clearly see the blonde woman looking back at her. Though there seemed to be something infront of her causing her to be slightly farther way then before.
"Do you see her?" The mother asked her husband.
"No my love I do not. All I see you and me." The husband replied. He was beginning to worry about his wife's state of mind.
"She seems to be talking to someone." The mother said as she looked more closely. Then she watched as the woman stepped back slightly. Then the woman came right up to the mirror. Soon the words "su pleh" appeared on the mirror.
"Do you see that?" The mother asked as the letters appeared. "What does it say?" The husband asked. He had stepped back and turned to leave. Until his wife had spoken. When he turned he seen the letters appear.
The mother looked at them. "It doesn't make sense." She said. The husband sighed grabbed a hand mirror and held it up. The letters became words then. "Help us." It said.
"Help us?" The mother asked as she stared at the mirror. "What does that mean?"
The husband placed the mirror down. "It means you have had been trying to make amends for our sons disappearance. Come now. This is all nonsense." He said. He didn't believe for a second that someone else wrote the words. This was all his wife's doing. After all she was really close to the mirror. And she could have wrote the words before she came down to get him.
"I am not crazy Sam." She said quietly.
The husband sighed. "No Ness you aren't. But you are not thinking clearly either."
Then he left his wife to silently cry. He could take this nonsense on top of all the rest. His wife heard things. Things were always misplaced or moved. She was becoming forgetful and lost. He was trying to be strong. He had stopped blaming her for Trace's disappearance but now all this. Too much.
"I am going out." Sam said as he walked away. A few good stiff drinks should help him sleep.
~~~

The woman didn't know if the brunette had got the message or not. She had left to find the boy. It was obvious to her that the boy couldn't see his mother. Though why that was the woman didn't know.

"Boy!" She called when she couldn't find him in the house.

"My name is Trace." She heard the boy call. Then he walked around the corner of the house to her.

"Well Trace. My name is Cynthia." The woman replied. Trace smiled though it was a sad smile. "My parents are gone aren't they?" He asked quietly.

"No. They aren't gone." Cynthia said carefully. Trace looked at her. "What do you mean?" He asked.

"I am not too sure buddy. But I think we are the ones gone."
