"What are you-" James turned around when hearing the athletic boy mumble to himself. He was about to say a sarcastic comment but stopped upon seeing the transformation before his eyes.

Lucas smirked, agreeing to serve Vecna's malevolent villainous plans as purple clouds engulfed him, allowing him to glow bright, embracing his new abilities, transforming into a metallic form with the power to shapeshift into whatever machinery he wished; electricity radiated from his body, an eerie surge of evil pulsating through him.

"What- what the fuck?" James stammered taking a step back, his taunting replaced by genuine fear. His face contorted into a mix of confusion and horror seeing Lucas's metallic body right before his eyes.

The athletic boy grinned sinisterly, now he was doing the taunting, "What's wrong? Are you scared? I thought you said you weren't scared of me? What's the matter?" he passed a fake pout.

Terrified, James took off running, his footsteps echoing down the hall, but Lucas was relentless, claiming, "You want to play hide and seek? Okay then, I'll seek..." he threatened, following where James was going. He used his first transformation, turning into a miniature flying helicopter. He hunted for James, determine to enact his revenge.

James ran through the school going round in circles, stumbling in fear, escaping Lucas's relentless pursuit; finally finding the exit. With a burst of power, Lucas transformed back to a robot, mimicking his hand like a large hammer, breaking through the front walls to get outside, closing in on his target.

"You can't hide James. I will catch you," Mecha-Tank ominously threatened.

Will had finally arrived at his next class, talking to Max and El on the way. The redhead, despite seeming closed-off and uninterested lit up after being asked about skateboarding; she went into all the details of her favourite tricks and how to perform them; also stating the champion records she set the record for.

El was interested, her arms resting on the table before her, leaning as close as possible while giggling periodically with a slight blush. Will looked at her with a sly smirk rolling his eyes, realising what this was... El had a crush.

However, this didn't last long as the conversation was abruptly shattered by the sound of breaking walls from below causing a minor shockwave in the class. The thunderous noise startled the brunette, causing him to lose balance, knocking him off his seat, falling face-first onto the floor.

Will groaned as he made impact, and El, ever watchful, quickly grabbed his arms, pulling him up before he could even register what was going on. "Come on!" she stated, dragging him to the window as students gathered curious; even the teacher wanted to know what was going on. His face contorted to shock and confusion as they witnessed a metallic being relentlessly pursuing James.

El's voice quivered, obviously concerned, questioning, "What in the world is that thing?"

Through the window, the class could hear the mechanical boy yell, "James! Stop running; your just gonna tire yourself out." he said in a taunting voice.

Will strained to hear, mentally noting that the voice sounded oddly familiar, as if it was someone he heard before. Then suddenly, it clicked, "It sounds like... Lucas."

El and Will exchanged a glance, concerned and puzzled; what the Hell was going on? It only added to the perplexity of the situation.

Max chuckled, showing a fearless and adventurous spirit, undeterred by this danger as she remarked, "This is so cool! Finally something cool in this town! I wanna chase it!" she claimed with a fist pumped to the air,

El looked at her, her initial shock turning into intrigue, "Yeah, let's go record it!" she added, grabbing Max's arm as they slumped away from the crowd until they were near the door,

Will, alarmed by the recklessness of his friends, followed them, trying to interject, "Wait, this is stupid! W-we don't even know what that thing is capable of!"

El turned back to the brunette, her determination shining through while responding, "Will don't worry, remember, when a supervillain arises, there's always a superhero close behind. No way am I missing this!"

With that, Max and El left the school on the redhead's skateboard with their spirits high, heading toward a creature that might almost lead to certain death. Will watched them leave out of breath from his sprint, his heart heavy with worry; his friends were stepping into something they didn't even understand, and he couldn't help but fear for their safety, grabbing his own bike, knowing he needed to chase after them.

Inside the school, Mike knew of all the commotion; despite being lost for the entire first period, he managed to find the exit somehow. Teachers were running around trying to make sense of the issue; the principle on the phone, asking for the entire cavalry; it was a mess.

Mike took a few steps outside; he wanted a closer look but knew he would never actually venture close to whatever that thing was.

He pondered for a moment, but that was until his phone buzzed from an incoming call. At a glance he could see the screen, realising it was a call from his father's assistant, Henry; in some ways he was more of a father figure then his real dad ever was.

He answered the phone, hearing Henry's voice come through; his voice oddly calm given the situation, "Mike; we've arranged a car to come take you home safely."

The ravenette observed the events outside, feeling frustrated and helpless. He watched as a boy with a bowlcut grabbed his bike from the racks, peddling toward the danger of the situation. In that moment, he wished he could join the action; be out there with others; making a difference, or at least live life and see the chaos for himself instead of being mollycoddled.

The call continued for a moment, Henry still remaining oddly calm, stating boring procedures the ravenette should follow but Mike was pulled out his thoughts when something hit his leg. He looked down at it with a furrowed brow.

It was unusual... a small box.

A small black box had been thrown at him; it wasn't his; he's never seen this box before. Did someone drop it?

"Do you understand what I just said? It's important!" Henry's voice rang from the other side of the phone.

Mike, still mesmerised by the box, dismissively muttered, "Yeah, sure... see you at home." switching off the phone.

He kept his eyes on the box, lifting with both hands, it was octagonal with red details painted atop it; it looked beautiful. Just then, he noticed a note attached to the bottom of it that said his name and told him to open the box in private... it seemed important. This unexpected discovery left Mike curious and puzzled.

Just then, a car approached before him; one with the family crest on the hood and a chauffeur in the driver's seat.

Mike looked at the car, contemplating the decision he had to make. Should he go back to the safety of his home like Henry had suggested, or should he follow his heart and do what he wanted for once?

Mike took charge, bolting toward the school, rushing toward the first door he could see.

Alone in the room, Mike locked the door behind him and with a deep breath, he opened the box. Suddenly a tiny creature, no larger than his hand popped out the ring; it was in the shape of a tiny, floating cat with a mischievous twinkle in his eyes.

Mike allowed his back to hit the wall, utterly stunned and confused. He stammered, "What the Hell are you?"

"I'm Plagg, your Kwami. You've been chosen to be the next Cat miraculous holder; you have powers; yours is the power of destruction, got it?" he replied with a yawn and a stretch,

Mike shook his head with complete confusion, what was going on? And why was this cat floating?

Plagg took a deep breath, rolling his eyes, "Oh great, another newbie. You are now a superhero so pay attention. You have a power called 'Cataclysm' and when you use it you can destroy things... so don't get carried away with it."

Mike blinked as he gazed at the ring, taking it out the box; he was a superhero? He smiled bright; it was an exhilarating moment filled with a sense of destiny; would he be like one of those heroes he admired in comic books and movies? And do what he wanted for once?

"Now kid," The floating cat spoke, "you have to go fight that villain out there, all you have to say is 'Plagg Claws out'! But first I recommend you-"

Mike's excitement got the best of him and in a burst of enthusiasm, quickly placed the ring on his finger, exclaiming, "Plagg, Claws Out!"

"Wait! I wasn't finished explainggg-" Plagg screamed, being pulled toward the ring and disappearing within it.

The transformation was instant, Mike's ordinary clothes replaced by a sleek black suit with a tail, ears, a mask and even a cute bell.

He had become a superhero!

"Soo cool!" he whispered in disbelief.

Mike in his superhero form, unlocked the classroom door, stepping out; his keen feline senses alert as he scanned the dimly lit hallways, satisfied he was alone. It seemed as though any students had taken refuge in the school's basement.

With that confirmation of being alone, he confidently made his way to the streets, where the city's chaos awaited... with all this excitement he almost forgot about the villain.

With an awestruck chuckle he extended his staff, using it to propel himself into the air, catching sight of the villain a fair distance away. The ravenette jumped, using his staff to land on the building and get a huge burst of speed.

The cat chuckled aloud, "This is awesome!"

🐞🐞🐞🐞🐞

Will pedalled furiously, desperately trying to keep up with Max and El; he could feel the strain in his legs as exhaustion kicked in; how far was this villain planning to go to catch James and how was James still on the move?

The city whizzed by, and the mechanical superhero was just out of reach, but his determination forced him to push himself to keep going.

Suddenly disaster struck as they travelled through the park; a stray obstacle collided with his front tire, sending him and his bike veering off course. With a crash and a cloud of dirt he found himself tumbling into the park owned flower patch.

Siting in the flower patch covered in dirt and petals, the brunette grumbled to himself, seeing the figures of Max and El travel further in the distance. He rolled his eyes realising just what had collided with his tire. It was a box; a black box with red lettering, with a note attached that had his name on it...

Woah... creepy.

With a cautious look around to ensure no one was watching, the brunette picked up the mysterious box. The red lettering beckoning him to open, and he couldn't resist the urge to see what was inside.

Upon opening the box, he was met with the sight of earrings; they were ladybug themed: red with black spots. However, almost instantly, a tiny red creature with black spots materialised before him.

Will let out a startled scream, overwhelmed by fear; he tried to move but the flowers caused him to stumble back to his seating position.

The voice cheerfully exclaimed, "Hi there! I'm Tikki and you're a superhero!"

Will's eyes widened in terror, his heartbeat increasing, "What- what are you? What's happening?"

"I'm a Kwami." the ladybug explained.

"A what?" Will questioned, his mouth agape.

"A Kwa-mi." Tikki repeated. "And I am a magical being that grants power to help you become a superhero."

"This can't be real! This can't be real!" the brunette mumbled, "I'm hallucinating from all this stress."

"I know it's a lot to take in, but you were chosen for this role. With the Ladybug Miraculous, you can save people from that supervillain." Tikki claimed.

Will paused for a second and Tikki assumed she was getting through to the brunette until Will said, "I'm calling my mum, I refuse to do this today!" he said, taking his phone out his pocket

"No, no, no, Will; I'm your friend! No one can know i exist!" Tikki panicked, flying in front of his screen, "You're the only one who can defeat Mecha-tank."

The brunette's eyes widened, slumping in his seat; he had slightly calmed down, but not enough to stop his rambling, "This has to be some kind of mistake; I can't be a superhero. Why don't you find someone else, like El; she's my friend! She'd be perfect for this! If you go now, you could reach her-"

"No!" the Kwami cut off, "It has to be you!"

Will didn't know what to say, looking over at Tikki with an unreadable expression on his face, almost as if he was trying to decipher what he was being told; him... a superhero? He couldn't do that!

In that moment something passed above them, casting a shadow on them, the brunette could see a figure accompanied a by pure squeal, "This is awesome!' He heard it say. Will panicked: who was that? and how was he jumping across buildings?

Will turned to face Tikki, asking, "Who's that?" Pointing at the sky, "Not another Villain, right?"

"Actually, quite the opposite!" Tikki chuckled following the masked figure flying through the air with her eyes, "That's your partner... he's a cat!"

"I... have a partner?" the brunette asked.

"Of course, you thought we'd make you defend the city all by yourself?" the ladybug chuckled.

The brunette nodded his head... that was definitely what he thought. He got up finally from the flower bed, dusting his knees, "Let's just say I do accept to save the city... what do I even do?"

"That's easy!" Tikki expressed with glee, slowly making progress with her new wielder, "All you have to do is fight and break the object where the Akuma is."

"Akuma?" Will furrowed his brows.

"It's a butterfly! Break the object, capture the Akuma and the city is saved; you have a power called 'Lucky Charm'... you can read more about it in you bug manual."

Will seemed uneasy but if he was fighting along someone, he could help Max and El who were heading toward certain doom; he could do it. "Fight, break, capture." he mumbled to himself,

"Fight, break, capture!" He repeated faster, "Fight, break, capture!" Placing the set of earrings on his ears; it was lucky he got El to convince him to get piercings last year even if Troy gave him a bunch of shit about how, 'boys don't get piercings'. He shook his head; this wasn't the time to think about that

"See! That's the spirit!" Tikki praised, "Now all you have to say is 'Spots On'!"

"Spots on?" Wil questioned, but before he knew it Tikki giggled and was being pull toward the earrings as a puff of pink light emerged him, "What is happening?" He exclaimed, his clothes immediately transforming; his once muddy flannel and khakis replaced by a skintight suit: red with black dots... did he look like a Ladybug?

But he couldn't think now as he realised he needed to go save the city; he stumbled slightly, taking the yo-yo from around his waist, "So I have a yo-yo weapon?" He muttered sarcastically under his breath, spinning it around in his hand.

It seemed deadly, Tikki said it could be used as a way to travel fast, "Just throw it!" He muttered to himself, throwing the red yo-yo far into the sky where it snagged the pole of a high rise-building, Will furrowed his brows, what was he supposed to do now? He pulled on the string and instantly he was flung across the city at neck-breaking speeds,

He screamed at the top of his lungs as his body flew across the city, instantly passing over the building; freefalling as his body collided with another in the air.

The ravenette caught off guard, extended his stick sideways catching the brunette by the waist, "Looks like we have a fearless ladybug in town!"

"I'm sorry I didn't mean to do that on purpose," Will apologised nervously, slightly embarrassed by the collision.

The ravenette chuckled, allowing the pair to drop to the ground relatively safely; responding with, "You must be the ladybug partner my Kwami told me about; nice shoulder-pads if I do say," he chuckled,

The brunette rolled his eyes, they needed to defeat this villain, not have a chitchat about outfits right now but he couldn't help but scan this 'Cat Man' before him; his suit was made out of leather with a studded belt and a silver bell. His eyes casted to his face wearing a simple black mask to cover his identity with cat ears but what caught the brunette's attention the most was the hair; a raven mullet that tipped green at the ends... it was nice.

"Yeah... I like your... hair," the brunette mumbled, not even realising the words came out his mouth.

"Thanks!" The ravenette began speaking again, "My name is... um, Claw Noir! Yeah, I like the sound of that!"

"I'm, um... I don't have a name yet- this was kinda thrown at me at the last minute," Will mumbled.

"Don't worry Wonder Bug, I'm learning the ropes too-" Claw Noir chuckled.

The pairs' conversation was cut short when a distant rumble made itself apparent and a cloud of dust appeared a few streets down. The ravenette immediately turned exclaiming, "Let's go!" extending his staff without a second thought till he reached the sky.

Will watched, mouth agape; he clearly didn't have the same courage Claw Noir did, he mumbled to himself, "Trust yourself, trust yourself!" throwing the yo-yo toward the chimney of the library closing his eyes as he was once again propelled forwards.
