MORE FELIX BUT THIS TIME HE'S SOMEONE ELSE'S BROTHER AND HE'S ACTUALLY REALLY CUTE

"FELIX! DID YOU TAKE MY MEASURING TAPE AGAIN?!" Marinette hollered as she dashed up the stairs to her older brother's room, where sounds of sawing came from presumably the area in his room set for his woodwork projects. She grabbed the spare pair of safety glasses constantly outside his room and opened the door to be faced with a platinum blond male with his clean white shirt sleeves rolled up. Her measuring tape lay on his desk next to him.

Felix looked up to see his sister roll her eyes and grab her equipment before leaning over his shoulder slightly. He stopped his work to wipe his brow and glare slightly at her. No matter how much he told her not to lean over his shoulder while he was working, no matter how many times he listed all the risks and how badly she could end up being hurt, she still leaned over his shoulder.

"Watcha making?" She said in that sing-song tone that is completely overused. He clapped sawdust off his hands before going to wipe the remaining sweat and dust on a grey towel to the side.

"New cabinet for Maman. She needs a new one, hers is too small." He said in his normal monotonous tone, enticing her to roll her eyes again. A small smile worked its way onto her face however as she watched Felix down a bottle of water and gently move her out of the way so he could work.

"You're so thoughtful, Fé." She met his icy eyes that always shone in sunlight, like ice itself, and he returned her bright smile with a small one of his own. "Anyway, I'm gonna go help Maman with lunch. Do you want anything specific or are you okay with whatever we cook?"

"I don't mind." He mumbled as he once more returned to sawing the piece of wood precisely in two. Marinette gave a wave which he barely caught and bounded down the stairs to join her mother in the kitchen.

Marinette hummed to herself as she made her great-uncle's soup. Leaving to it to simmer, she grabbed a wooden spoon and belted out the lyrics to the song stuck in her head, dancing around the kitchen. Felix, hearing this commotion came down just far enough to see what was happening, and watched her with an affectionate smile on his face.

"You're second hand smoke, second hand smoke
I breathe you in, but, honey, I don't know what you're doing to me
Mon chéri, but the truth catches up with us eventually
Try to say live, live and let live
But I'm no good, good at lip service
Except when they're yours, mi amor

I'm coming for you and I'm making war."

She jumped around, pumping her fists and crouching close to the ground, hair flying in every direction. Felix chuckled as she nearly fell on her face before righting herself with amazing flexibility and strength.

"And I still love the way you hurt me
It's irresistible, yeah! Oh, yeah.
I love the way, I love the way
I love the way you hurt me, baby
I love the way, I love the way
I love the way you hurt me, baby."

At the apparent extent of her performance, Felix clapped as he descended the rest of the way down the stairs. Marinette spun on her heel to see her brother's affectionately teasing grin. Folding her arms, she turned away with a huff, pretending to be mad at the fact that he was watching her.

Felix pouted when his sister wouldn't face him, moving closer behind her. "Aw, come on kitten. Fur-give me for watching your performance?" He grinned as she remained stubbornly facing away, even at his terrible pun. "Mar, you wouldn't want my felines to be hurt, would you? It would be simply cat-astrophic." He heard a quiet groan, his grin growing. "Well, guess I'll just have to..."

He grabbed her sides and began tickling her. She shrieked in startled laughter and jerked away, bolting into the lounge room where she flipped over the couch and crouched behind it. Felix, with a laugh, chased her around the house, every now and then catching her and tickling her again. The two of them finally collapsed on the couch, laughing loudly and out of breath. Their parents, Tom and Sabine, took one look at them and chuckled, Tom going to get more supplies for their bakery and Sabine going to tend to the soup Marinette left.

This was a regular occurrence at the Dupain-Cheng household. Felix and Marinette, while starkly different, adored each other. This was a result of the warm family environment they grew up in, and the way they took care of each other. They even spent their birthdays together, seeing as Marinette was one year and seven days younger than Felix. He was only a year ahead of her in school, and always waited outside her classroom whenever they were going home for lunch. He was more than her brother, he was her best friend.

And neither would have it any other way.

The next day, Felix shook Marinette awake and told her they were going to be late. She jumped out of bed and rushed around her room, not even looking at what she was wearing. She ended up with black skinny jeans, a white tank top and charcoal hoodie. She grabbed her bag, packed by Felix, and a croissant before the two of them walked to school, seeing as they had five minutes.

Alya was chatting with Nino and the new guy as the siblings came into view. Now, Alya had never met Felix, seeing as she too, was relatively new to the school, but Nino had. He was very cold towards everyone but his little sister, but Alya didn't know that. And seeing as Felix and Marinette almost looked nothing alike, she assumed... things.

"Alright, kitten, I've got to get to class. You'll be okay by yourself?" His kind and concerned tone only made Alya's assumptions stronger. Marinette rolled her eyes.

"Fé, I have friends."

Alya was getting suspicious.

"Replacing me?"

"No-one could replace you, you know that."

She started feeling like Marinette had something to tell her.

"Just being careful, kitten. We wouldn't want you to forget me."

Marinette definitely had something to tell her.

"I would never! Now shoo, class, get to it!"

"Alright, alright. See you later." The platinum blond pulled his sister in for a hug before pulling away and leaving with a wave.

The blunette approached her two friends with a smile, glancing at the new boy before offering her hand. "Hi, I'm Marinette. You're the new guy, right?"

The blond nodded, an easy smile on his face. "Yeah. I'm Adrien."

Alya huffed once before cutting in. "Okay, introductions are over, now Mari, when did you get a boyfriend?!"

Marinette turned to her, eyes wide, before she burst out laughing. Tears were forming in her eyes out of sheer mirth at the stupidity of the question. "D-do you mean F-Felix?!" She chocked out through giggles, barely controlling herself at Alya's unamused expression. "Fé... he's my brother for god's sake, Alya!"

Alya's mouth dropped as Nino snickered behind her. "You have a brother?!" She exclaimed, waving her arms around. "Why didn't you tell me?! Why haven't I ever seen him before?!"

Marinette folded her arms. "Fé isn't a people person." She said carefully, before sighing. "What am I saying, he doesn't like people at all! The only people he actually talks to without being annoyed is me, Maman and Papa. He's always in the library or his room. And you've only been to my house when he was away in America for a while, so you've never seen him."

Nino piped up. "There's also the fact that they look nothing alike, so if you've seen him somewhere, you wouldn't have made the connection." Marinette nodded, but then shook her head, a frown pulling at her plump lips.

"Not true! We have the same nose!" She whined, earning a chuckle from her two bespectacled friends. Adrien smiled, watching the three get along. He was glad to find people who weren't like Chloe.

"I always thought Bridgette was your sibling." Alya mused, a thoughtful expression on her face. "I mean, you two look freakishly alike, and your names are nearly the same."

Marinette shook her head again. "Bridgette's my cousin. She also picked my name because Fé still couldn't talk." Rolling her bluebell eyes, she chuckled. "She wanted to call me Bridgette, but settled with Marinette."

Alya chuckled as well. "Isn't she older than you by about 2 years?" At her friend's nod, she continued. "How old's your brother then?"

"Felix is 16. A year and seven days older than me." She announced automatically. Alya rolled her eyes, mirroring her action from earlier.

"Someone definitely didn't count." The brunette's sarcastic tone earned her a light punch from Marinette.

"Shut up." She grinned as Alya mouthed 'Never'. "Anyway, we'd better get to class." Grabbing Alya's hand, she lifted her other hand in the air. "To Extension One Mathematics!" She let out a battle cry and the two girls ran off, giggling.

Adrien and Nino stared after them. Nino shook his head, chuckling. Adrien just stared, a warm feeling growing in his heart.

"Those girls are two of the greatest young women in history. Or at least the school." Nino grinned and nudged Adrien with his shoulder. "C'mon dude, let's get to Extension One Mathematics, as Marinette so dramatically declared."

Lunch was the second time Alya, Adrien and Nino saw Felix that day. He was waiting outside their Literacy class for Marinette.

He smiled warmly at his little sister. "Hey, kitten. Maman wants us home for lunch." He messed up her hair affectionately as she pouted playfully. "You got everything?"

She hummed thoughtfully. "I just need to get my textbook from my locker. Meet you out front?" At his nod, she bounced over to her locker.

Aaaand that's when Felix turned cold. He glared at the three, earning surprised looks from them. "I know Nino, but not you two. Who are you and what are your intentions with my little sister?"

Alya blinked in shock. Nino slapped a hand over her mouth and let out a nervous laugh. "This is Alya and Adrien. Alya's Marinette's best girl friend, she wouldn't so anything to hurt her, and Adrien here barely knows her, so he's no-one to worry about, haha, bye Felix!" With that, Nino dragged the two gobsmacked friends away.

Adrien and Alya stared at the DJ as he pulled them away. The latter was the first to speak. "What the hell was that?"

"Felix hates anyone and everyone who isn't Marinette or their parents." Nino hissed. "He especially hates anyone who hurts her. You know Chloe, right? She used to bully Marinette, and Felix found out." He shuddered momentarily. "Chloe was never the same again."

Adrien's mouth dropped. "So that's why she stopped using me to get clothes!" He grinned, looking over his shoulder as Felix walked in the opposite direction. "He's cool."

"He's scary as all heck!" Nino exclaimed, staring incredulously at the blond model.

Alya chuckled. "He's both." A slow grin stretched across her face, slightly alarming the two boys. "Now we just gotta go to their bakery more often, talk with Marinette, see Felix being normal, and write down all observations in a science notebook for a 'How To Behave Around Felix Dupain-Cheng' guide! To the stationary store!"

Nino gaped as Alya practically bolted out of the school, heading straight for a nearby newsagent. He raised a hand to point after her, blankly staring and jaw dropped, for a minute after she disappeared. "Uhh..."

Adrien snickered as he lowered his friend's hand. "Yes, that just happened."

"Fé, did you scare my new friends again?" Marinette frowned playfully at her older brother, watching as he shrugged with an innocent smile. "Come on, I know how to judge people!"

"Doesn't mean I can't scare them into being nice to you." He said with a half-smirk before taking a mouthful of chicken Caesar salad. Marinette sighed, looking down at her bowl.

"I want people to be nice to me because they want to, not because they're scared of my big brother." She mumbled, all playfulness slipping out of her ocean eyes, leaving only a melancholy expression. Felix's grey eyes softened as he leaned over the table to take her hand into his.

"Sorry, Mar. I just don't want to see you hurt again." He murmured, smiling gently. Marinette glanced up, wide eyes glistening with unshed tears, as beautiful as rain falling from a clear sky, and she smiled gratefully.

"I know, Fé. And I love you for it, I really do, I just... I can take care of myself, okay?"

"... Okay."

~*(i shouldn't do that because incest but OMG CUTE)*~

The second day Adrien talked to Felix was once more through Marinette Dupain-Cheng.
