angie was one of the first people to audition, having the advantage thanks to mrs mercier for telling her wife that they was such great help yesterday. angie looked at the list of songs for the musical, fleur bouchard said that they can audition with song from a different musical but angie thought that it would show initiative if they memorised a song from the musical,  maybe it would make them stand out.

angie wasn't the first to audition though, turns out being a granddaughter to a superhero came in handy, especially when it came to auditioning for a musical about said heroes. natalia césaire-lahiffe, the granddaughter of rena rouge and carapace, obviously auditioned for rena rouge, she sang 'i am your hero' a song that fleur bouchard wrote for alya césaire in the musical. they was frustrated to see that angie wasn't the only person with the idea to audition with a song from the musical though didn't really care because they weren't auditioning for rena rouge. she was good, angie will give her that but they still doesn't think it's a fair competition because obviously a césaire would get the role of alya césaire.

esme bianchi was the next to audition, the song she auditioned with was parents lie from freaky friday the musical esme was really good, like really good, if she wasn't the granddaughter of lila rossi angie knew without a doubt that she would still get the role, she deserves it, no family bias needed.

next in the audition order is them. stepping onto the stage, angie felt every single eye in the room turn on them, there was about thirty- forty people, give or take. angie guesses their lucky, knowing that full well get the audition out of the way is much better then having it in the middle or at the end. "angelie keun?" a woman with light olive skin, hazel-green eyes, and dark curly brown hair asked. angie identified that woman as fleur bouchard, dott's young mother.

angie nodded, "yes," they didn't like how they sound, their voice is quiet, sounding almost strained, they tried again, "yes, that's me," much better.

"okay, well angie, take your time and start when you feel comfortable," angie nodded once more. they deep breath and quickly looked at the two people to the left of fleur bouchard, grace mercier and ciel bustier, the two teachers working on the musical. mrs mercier gave them an encouraging thumbs up, the music turned on and they started singing.

"there's this pretty girl
she's got this nice black hair
her emotions are never awhirl

the song angie had chose to audition with was actually a duet with marinette dupain-cheng and chat noir, though he managed to make it work as solo.

angie felt their mouth began to go dry, so many people are watching them right now, so many prying eyes, they saw as more and more people entered the room. angie zoned them out and got back into the character of adrien agreste, heartthrob teen model with mummy issues by day and a flirty superhero with daddy Issues by night.

angie put themself in the position of a boy with an unrequited love, the position of a boy could can get the heart of every single girl in paris just not the one that he loves, angie got back into the character of adrien agreste.

𝐃𝐎𝐓𝐓.

to say that dott was terrified would be a understatement, she wasn't ready for this, who was she kidding? there is no way in hell that she can get up on that stage and sing, no way.

she wanted to do this for her mum, she really did but the truth is that if she gets up on that stage she will freeze and embarrass both herself and her mum.

dott needs some air. she started leaving, currently mikyung soon was auditioning with the song hello by adele, she was really good, if dott goes after her it will be shocking about how bad she ends up being in comparison.

walking out of the hall she ran into dimitri argent, "dott, where are you going? aren't you next?"

"i-," yes i am next but i don't want to perform and i'm such a let down, my mum and grace are going to be so disappointed, "i needed some air, what are you doing out here? i thought you were auditioning after me."

"i need to find someone to duet with me, i thought maybe i'll ask amrio agreste but he didn't come to watch the auditions," dimitri explained, smiling widely as he realised, "dott, audition with me?"

"ah- um," being asked by your crush to sing a most likely romantic duet is a good thing, right? though then again she was second choice. "i don't think i should-"

"please!! i really want to sing this song but i can't do it alone, please thea!"

maybe singing with someone else might be less scary? she consisted, dimitri has an amazing voice so many all of his good might out weight her bad. "i'm not very good."

"that's bull, you're amazing! do you remember when we did choir together?"

she smiled thinking about choir, when dott was twelve she was a much different person, she played sports, was apart of the school's dance group, did choir and all over had much more confidents in herself, skip toward to the next year, dott doesn't know what triggered it but that all changed. she became shy and stopped participating in extra school activities, dott became a background character in her own life.

that was when she realised that she had to do this, because what will happen if she doesn't? will her social anxiety just keep declining? will her mother just keep worrying about her? "okay, what song?"

𝐑𝐈𝐎.

rio had no interest in auditioning but he figured he would at least watch his sister and dimitri audition. he had shown up half way through mikyung's audition, the girl was good, he had no doubt that she would get the role that she wants.

rio sat down next to jiji, "hi," he said politely, his younger sister smiling wildly, she didn't think he was going to show. jiji has blonde hair and light blue eyes, she looks a lot like their aunt emma while rio unfortunately took after their mother.

"h-hi," a voice from the stage said, rio turned and saw dimitri and dott.

"hi sweetie," fleur bouchard said, rio looked at the woman, she was smiling proudly at her daughter and rio felt a pinch of jealous shot through him.

dimitri took over the speaking for dott, "i am auditioning for the role of adrien agreste and dott is auditioning for the role of nino lahiffe."

dimitri takes a deep breath before he starts singing,

"she is standing right behind me
she is smiling at me and looks away
i think i understand her strange game."

"it's so weird watching people pretend to be nanny and poppy," rio said as he turned to face his sister.

jiji nodded, "yeah, they were really hopeless though, like how hard is it to see that pop was chat noir, or nan was ladybug? like the only different is a mask and a slightly skinner body due to the spandex."

rio chuckled, he hadn't actually thought about how the miraculous made them skinner, that's kinda messed up actually.

"when i see him, i'm not myself
i turn red and speak softly
breathe short, my heart is beating."

"dott looks like she's about to cry," jiji told rio, dott wouldn't say that jiji and her are friends while jiji would say they are besties.

"yeah but she's really good, i didn't know dorothea could sing."

"i did!" jiji said proudly, "i'm such a good friend."

"walk away!
it's the only thing to do

jiji facepalmed as she silenced to the lyrics, "poppy was hopeless."

"he really was. i bet him and nanny are going to be kicking themselves when they watch the musical," jiji and rio laughed quietly as they thought about it, their grandmother glaring at their grandfather everytime his character calls her 'just a friend' or their grandmother blushing furiously everytime her character fangirls over their grandfather.

"dimitri is really good."

"yeah, i guess he is," rio said with a shrug, they boy still felt bad about exploding on him the other day.

"you know he has a crush on you?"

"no he doesn't," rio practically cringed at the idea of the blond haired boy having a crush on him, "he just wants to be my friend."

"remind you of anyone?" she wiggled her eyebrow, rio rolled his eyes, jiji always loves to tease him.

"we will be reunited in the night
like the day when all that glitters
will be our infinite love.

despite this great wall that separates us
love crosses right through
we are together a rare force.
