Missions, Mayhem and Just A Pinch Of Love
Set at the beginning of season 4, after truth and lies but before gang of secrets. I just like timing the reveals in that timeframe ok! Also for reasons, they are roughly 18 around this time. The reason. Because a movie that is mentioned came out in 2019 and I am just going to say that by this time they are 18.
Oh and quick about the long one-shot. I've decided it deserves its own story so I'm currently writing it separately. I'm sorry to disappoint you guys. I will however, once I'm certain it will be out, post a little sneak peak here just for you guys.
Adrien was on a mission.
On a mission to cheer up Marinette Dupain-Cheng.
It was a top secret mission. He hadn't even told Alya and Nino what it was or that he was planning on doing it.
He just texted Marinette to ask if she was free and when she, after typing for a few long minutes, finally responded with an indefinite yes, he had asked her if they could spend the day at her house together.
It took her a bit longer than a few minutes this time (try a few hours- "Seriously Marinette! Just text him," an exasperated Tikki would shake her head besides the girl who was fretting), before she replied that she would be delighted to spend time with him. He had also asked her not to tell anyone, making the excuse that he only wanted to spend time with her without any interference. Which, in hindsight, it was actually true.
Their friends were really nosy and he just wanted to see if he could help Marinette on his own.
He did tell Nathalie that he had offered to help tutor Marinette in physics as she was falling behind and, since his schedule was pretty scarce today, Nathalie (and by extension, his father) did not seem to mind that he was doing so. But if his father found out he was hanging out with anyone other than who he had said, he would be mad at him. He told Marinette that too. It meant she was more likely not to tell anyone other than her parents that they would be spending time together.
All in all he had five hours (could you believe it!!!) To complete his mission.
The day they decided to meet at her house was a weekend. They made sure that it was deliberately on the same day their best friends had decided to take Ella, Etta and Chris out to the zoo and then to see the movie How To Train Your Dragon 3 after that. (Adrien had been invited to the premier of the movie and had gotten to watch it as soon as it came out in France. And when he had heard that they had a whole Netflix series, he wasn't ashamed to say he binged watched the episodes whenever he got the chance. He was the one who recommended they take the kids to watch it.)
(Yes this is just me shamelessly promoting my absolute love for httyd because if there was one series I had to be buried with, I'm sorry miraculous, but httyd is my very soul and existence. It's coming with me to the grave.)
Before he left and after Nathalie had checked up on him, making sure he got all the resources he needed to 'help' Marinette with her physics, Adrien quickly slipped in a certain game- he had received early to beta test and had only just came out in stores recently- into his satchel.
He successfully made his way out of the house without his father's usual watchful eye making its presence behind him- he was probably in one of his work coma's where he wouldn't be heard from for longer than usual in a day. Nathalie would always have an aggressive look in those moments when he asked about his father, always muttering about some butterflies that his father was working on or something. Perhaps his father's new line would be butterfly inspired.
He slipped into his seat and, as usual, put his seat belt on before the Gorilla could grunt in disapproval. Once the privacy window shut between them (when they were alone, Adrien always requested it so he could speak to Plagg a little easier) he let his kwami out from his hidden spot in Adrien's jacket.
"This pocket she put in is meowvellous," Plagg preened, delighted.
The she he was talking about was, in fact, Marinette.
Adrien had personally commissioned her for the jacket, willing to pay extra in order for Marinette to have the materials he, or rather Plagg, needed to feel more comfortable. When Adrien had told her about wanting a large pocket on the inside which could hold a lot but couldn't be seen from the outside, she had squealed in glee at the thought of a challenge.
She had also, subsequently, ducked her head to face the ground, but Adrien could tell she had been slightly embarrassed.
Maybe he should have told her that it was rather adorable to see her so genuinely excited, but he couldn't get the words out, instead giving her a sheepish smile of his own whilst having an internal crisis of his own wondering why Marinette was so endearing in every little exhilarating thing she did.
Anyways, Adrien hadn't had the chance to actually wear the jacket, as it had been rather warm in the past few weeks. Now that it was getting cooler, he thought he could finally wear it out properly. And what better day to do so than the day he planned on cheering Marinette up?
If he knew one thing about designers in all of his years living and working with one, it was that they felt the absolute thrill and glory that came with seeing someone wear their work.
This was just one part of his plan to make her feel less down.
He didn't know what it was that had caused her to be like this. Yes, her and Luka had broken up a few months ago (as he and Kagami had done so as well), but Marinette had confided to him during one of his visits as Chat Noir that whilst she regretted that she had hurt Luka, that wasn't even the brink of her problems. Or even the cause of it. But even when he had questioned it, she didn't say anything. She didn't state it but he could tell anyways. His visits to her as Chat Noir let him get to know her a bit more and Marinette was finally opening up to Adrien. If there was anyone, other than his lady, whom he could understand more than anyone else, It was Marinette.
The tip of her iceberg was going to topple over. If someone didn't intervene soon. And he appointed himself, not Chat Noir, to see to it that Marinette would not be driven into the depths of insanity.
As Plagg droned on about different things (mostly cheese), Adrien hoped that he would be able to help Marinette get to a resolve or, at least, a more calm state than she had been in the last few weeks. She didn't deserve to have to carry the burdens she most definitely had. She didn't deserve to feel so sad, so lost. Practically hysterical at times. She didn't deserve any of it.
She deserved so much more.
........
"Okay. Now that he is gone, let's get down to business," the both of them knew how hard he struggled to not to finish his sentence with words from a certain song- if there was one thing Marinette knew about Adrien after getting to know him for a while, it was that he could be a complete and utterly adorable dork at the best of times.
"Uhh. Okay..." She replied, unsure of what they were actually doing today. Adrien had made quite a show out of taking his physics materials out when the Gorilla was still at her home, so she didn't know what to think of what was in store for her.
He cleared his throat and stood in front of where Marinette was sitting on her desk (right next to the sewing box) and he spoke, "Today is all about letting go of our stress and burdens for a bit. Which is why," he turned a bit to reach into his satchel which had been thrown onto her desk chair, "I have brought this."
Once he brought the object out Marinette gasped and jumped off of the table to grab it. What she didn't anticipate was that when she did, their bodies would naturally be closer together and he tensed slightly as he tried to hold a breath in from her being so close to him.
Kagami never made me feel like this. He realised.
He was just glad that Marinette's attention was on the new game in her hand rather than just how much Adrien was resisting the urge to take one step closer towards her and cheer her up in a completely different way.
(Adrien you coward. Do it.)
He took a small step back, just a teensy one, and smiled at her obvious psyched demeanour and let her fumble over the packaging and design of the game. He waited patiently for her to go over the information provided, before she smirked at him- and if he didn't take another step back he may have been inclined to do what he was thinking about earlier- and challenged him to a first to 5 match.
As they decided to move her chaise so they could sit on front of the computer comfortably together whilst they played, he gave her a smug smile back.
"Oh, you're so on."
.......
Adrien's mission was actually going well.
During their first few rounds of UMS4 Marinette had found herself significantly unwinding and relaxing without much of a care. All of her worries about the kwamis and Master Fu and Shadowmoth- ScarletMoth- whatevermoth were slowly forgotten as she spent her time with Adrien. In fact, she almost forgot she was spending time with Adrien, who was supposed to be her long-time crush.
The more time she spent with Adrien, the more she felt like kicking herself for thinking talking to Adrien would be so hard when clearly, it was not. Once the both of them had relaxed into whatever they would be doing, it became as easy to talk to Adrien as she could talk to Chat.
Adrien, meanwhile, was thoroughly enjoying that Marinette was opening up to him without much of a stutter or any feelings of embarrassment. He loved teasing her when he got a move in that she didn't expect and he loved when she kept on accusing him of being a cheat because he had been a beta tester for the game and had played multiple times beforehand. He loved how their jests flowed just as easily as Ladybug and Chat Noir's did (though, with her guardianship, there had been a slight strain in that aspect due to the amount of stress his partner was going through. His next mission was to get Ladybug to stop carrying all of the burdens of the miraculous on herself).
They were about two hours in when Sabine came in with an urgent, yet apologetic, look on her face.
"We need your help sweetie. It won't take too long but Tom and I have a large delivery we need to make which is about two hours away. It was a late notice order. We're closing up early today but Nadja ordered a cake she will be coming to pick up in a bit. We just-"
"Need me to be downstairs until she comes so she can get her order and then I will close up shop properly. I got it Maman. You guys go deliver the large order."
Sabine smiled and kissed her daughter's cheek, "She said she'll be here soon. You won't have to wait too long. I apologise Adrien," she turned to look at the boy, "I'm taking your guys time together away."
Adrien gave her a reassuring smile and shook his head, "No no Madame Cheng. I understand. I have plenty of time after Mrs Chamack comes to spend time with Marinette. I don't mind pausing if she has something important to do."
"Marinette, make sure this sweetheart gets a bunch of treats once Nadja has come."
Whilst Adrien felt his face heat up, Marinette nodded quite seriously- it was a typical rule in any Asian household that guests must be fed, "Of course Maman."
.......
And so Adrien was left in Marinette's room for a bit. He suspected it wouldn't be too long as the news reporter had already called once Tom and Sabine had left. It was, however, long enough for Adrien to talk to Plagg who he thought, despite the comfort of his new pocket, would be feeling stuffy right about now. Plagg could never stay in one place if there was no cheese- which he had already eaten by the time they had reached Marinette's house. Thank kwami that Adrien knew to buy a certain fabric that hid odours such as stinky cheese. At least his modelling was good for something other than his father's brand image.
He opened his jacket slightly and looked to where Plagg was supposed to be, only to find that he wasn't there at all.
"Plagg!" He hissed, "Plagg, where the hell have you flown off to this time?"
He called out for his kwami for a bit until finally, the little rascal flew out from a box on Marinette's desk. Not just any box, however. The large sewing box that Marinette had practically screamed for him not to touch when he had moved it slightly by accident the last time he had been there (to actually do homework together). He knew she hadn't meant to- she apologised profusely straight away- but it was slightly unnerving to see her like that.
"What the hell were you doing in that box Plagg?"
"I was just exploring. You know. I smelt some cheese and I was just following its scent and I thought why not explore?"
"That makes absolutely no sense Plagg!" Adrien pinched his nose, infuriated. Then again, rarely anything Plagg did ever actually made sense. Especially when it came to cheese.
The kwami crossed his arms and huffed, but Adrien knew his kwami and could tell when he was looking slightly nervous and trying to hide it well, "Well I thought you'd be used to it right now."
"Plaggg. If you don't tell me what you were doing in her box I'm only giving brie for the next week," Plagg looked away, "Okay, fine. Two weeks. What is that I hear? More? How about a month. I think father will breathe a sigh of relief that I've decided not to deplete France's Camembert stocks and stink up my wardrobe with it."
"No!" A squeaky but booming voice Adrien didn't think he ever heard before started screaming, "You can't let Plagg eat Brie. He hates it!"
Adrien took a few seconds to process that the voice belonged to a kwami and he jumped in shock when it came into view. It was a purple kwami, though it had a red undertone which could be seen in certain lights. On its head there were three stripes and Adrien believed he saw set of fangs when the kwami had stormed over to him. He assumed this was the tiger kwami Roaar, who Plagg had talked about a few times. Plagg had told him that out of all of the kwamis, he viewed Roaar as a little sister. She was, after all, a tiger.
From what he recalled, she was a little sister who was quite protective of her older brother.
"You must be Roaar. Plagg speaks about you a lot," he said whilst his mind was trying to comprehend why Marinette had a kwami in her house in the first place.
If anything, he had expected her to have the mouse miraculous (and he would definitely want to see her wear it again. Marinette looked stunning with space buns and a skin-tight suit with her signature colours and he would even go as far as to say- actually, let's pause on that thought Adrien). She was an exceptional hero who managed to use so many of the miraculous at once and it amazed him. Plagg had said she was really the only one who had been able to use all of them in that way, without being affected by the overwhelming power she had gained. It was then when all of the kwamis began to respect her even more than they possibly could.
Maybe Marinette was acquainted with all of the kwamis then. And they just sometimes liked to come talk to her or something.
Or...
Ladybug was now the guardian.
She would never just let the kwamis roam free without reason. Even if it was to a known miraculous holder, Ladybug would have never risked any of the kwamis going to anyone she couldn't trust wholeheartedly. Of course, he knew Ladybug trusted Marinette, seeing as she had been involved in defeating many akuma. But he had also thought Ladybug didn't trust her enough as she refused to allow Marinette to become Multimouse again (and what he would do to see her in that form, would even make the great numpty of a villain, void of any emotions that were good, blush).
Ladybug had been really stressed about keeping the kwamis hidden from the people around her- she had told him so during one recent patrol. How her friends had come close to discovering the miraculous box which she had built a dollhouse for, causing her to take extra measures and hide the box somewhere else.
He looked around Marinette's room for a second and noticed something he hadn't thought much about before. Marinette's windows were covered with colourful bits of paper. As if she was trying to hide the view into her room. He walked a bit to where the closest window was and stubbed his toe on something.
Hissing whilst grabbing his foot in pain, Adrien found what looked like a dollhouse. Just like Ladybug had said.
"Yes I am Roaar! And if you give Plagg Brie I'll unleash my super punch on you!"
"Don't worry Roaar," He turned to face the kwami, "I would never actually give Plagg something he hates. I just needed him to tell me why he went into Marinette's box."
"Of course it was so he could spend time with his friends. We all missed Pl-ngg-"
Plagg had zoomed to where the tiger Kwami was and quickly snapped her mouth shut and covered it, shaking his head at the kwami practically revealing what he didn't want to, whilst at the same time being genuinely worried about what Adrien would say or do.
"I figured," Adrien shrugged, "Once you came out. It's not hard to realise. And it makes a lot of sense."
"Uhh," Plagg started. He could see that his kwami was hoping his hardest that whatever conclusion he came to, It wasn't the one thing that was actually true, "What does?"
Adrien looked thoughtful for a moment and bit his lip, wondering if he should just let it go, but he shook his head- no, he shouldn't, "I understand a bit more why Marinette has been so out of it for a while. And I realised that when I noticed that she was becoming more and more agitated recently, it was just like how Ladybug has been. Yes, some things I am still trying to make sense of, like multimouse, but Marinette has always been pretty crafty. I'm sure she did whatever she did on purpose to prevent me from knowing. But I am certain now that she is Ladybug."
"Finally," another voice says. Adrien knew it was Sass even without looking. He watched as one by one the kwamis started coming out of the box which Adrien realised was actually made just to hide the miraculous box.
"When Tikki gets here, she is going to be so mad," Plagg dejectedly says, "But I think it's about time you guys find out."
"I promise everyone, I will help Marinette as much as I can now that I know a bit more as to why she is so stressed. And, even if I am not the guardian, I hope you will accept my helping her in doing the tasks she may need to do. I don't want her to have to do everything herself. Not when I know now."
And just like that, the kwamis began cheering and flying around Adrien, each of them talking a mile a minute in gratitude for what he had promised. Adrien laughed at their antics, delighted at their excitement. Even Plagg seemed to breathe a sigh of relief, as he hovered next to his holder and roll his eyes at his fellow beings. He gently scolded Roaar for being so impulsive- he knew Tikki would probably do so again later, but he also made sure that Roaar knew she wasn't fully to blame.
His holder was just growing up.
Adrien sat back on the chaise and began conversing with Sass, catching up with the little guy who he had spent over a month with. Other than Plagg, he had a feeling he was going to bond rather well with Sass- even if he definitely was not going to become a bald snake once again. All around him the kwamis seemed full of life and energy and it brought a smile on his face. It was something he rarely got to experience in his own home. Just the raw chaos of being around the kwamis made him happy.
He didn't even realise when Marinette opened the trapdoor and was about to come in until she shrieked. Loudly.
Yeah, that startled Adrien and all of the kwamis to a pause.
She ran up the remaining stairs and rounded up the kwamis into a group before proceeding to scold them, "What have I told you about coming out when other people are here? I know for a fact that you have plenty of space to run around in the box whilst people are around. In fact, I bet there is more space in there than in this room. That's not the point. What is the point is that you guys came out when Adrien was still in the room and if I don't get an explanation now about why you are all out of the box then- wait- Plagg???" She paused her rant, quite literally stunned to the fact that the cat was in the huddle of his fellow kwamis, looking just as ashamed as the others did when she was scolding them- Marinette was beginning to have a knack for making people feel guilty, regardless of whether they were or not, a trait she had definitely gained from her mother.
The kwami just smiled sheepishly at the guardian and looked at Adrien, unsure of what he should say. Adrien shrugged so all Plagg got out was a nervous laugh and a, "Hey."
And then he was tackled by a really angry bug, "Hey? That's all you can say? Not. I'm sorry. Or I don't know. Maybe give an excuse as to why you're here. Or how about saying sorry? You know. For compromising their identities!"
Marinette listened to the two kwamis and her eyes widened when Plagg replied, trying hold an angry Tikki in place, "Actually sugarcube. It wasn't even me this time. Well not directly anyways."
"Oh really? Who else could it be? Because I seem to recall that you love to create mischief and like revealing things you shouldn't. What exactly? I don't know. Maybe...Secret identities!!!!!" She screamed.
Finally, Adrien- who Marinette most certainly forgot was still there- spoke up in Plagg's defence, "Actually, it wasn't really his fault," he paused, quickly going over the previous scenario he had been in and grimaced slightly, "Okay. Maybe it was a bit. But it was also my own fault for actually using my brain for once. Plagg said that it was about time we knew anyways."
Marinette wanted to snort at that, but she stopped herself, instead deciding to talk before Tikki could continue her rage- she knew her and Plagg were still whispering furiously in the background but she needed to know, "So. Adrien. Can you just, uhh. Maybe clarify what you know?"
He smirked up at her and just declared, "I'd say I know everything I need to."
Marinette pouted and came closer to where he was sitting. By now the kwamis had decidedly become silent, just watching how the next part would unfold. It was surprising, to say the least, that they could all remain quiet for this period of time. She stood on front of him with her hands placed boldly on her hips, "I asked you to clarify. Not make me more uncertain of what you know."
His smirk fell into a more sincere smile and he stood up to be right on front of her. He placed his hands on her shoulders, "I know that you are Ladybug. And therefore, I know you are also the guardian of the mother box."
Marinette sucked in a sharp breath and nodded, "I can't deny it Adrien. I am Ladybug," she finally voiced the conclusions she had come to during the little kwami scuffle, "And since Plagg is here and going from a lot of other things that are finally making a lot of sense, I'm assuming you are Chat Noir?"
"I know M'lady," he replied, the nickname confirming her suspicions, he squeezed her shoulders a bit in a reassuring manner, "I know that Ladybug has been very stressed out about identities and just about everything else to do with the miraculous right now. I also know that Marinette Dupain-Cheng has been slowly losing that little glimmer of hope and determination I have always seen in her, because she is at the edge and can't move back."
Marinette's shoulders dropped and, any façade that she had put on to show she was doing okay followed with it, "I just-" her voice faltered, "I feel like- just one wrong move and I'll lose everything- I'll be the failure I already feel I am. I don't know what to do and how to go about doing anything when all that is on my mind is that I feel alone."
He cut her off and stepped forward, kissing her forehead gently and wrapping his arms firmly around her, "But you're not alone Princess. You have me. And now that I know exactly what you are going through, it makes my missions easier."
She moved her head back from where it had found itself laying on his chest. "M-missions?"
He chuckled softly, the vibrations of his laugh making her feel just a tad calmer, "My missions to cheer Marinette Dupain-Cheng and Ladybug up. And I know just how to succeed in doing so," he looked down at her, his eyes, despite his relaxed smile, serious, "I'm going to help you, Bug. I'm not going to let you take on all the burdens of being guardian when I can be here to lift some of that weight off of your shoulders easily."
"Adrien- I can't- you have other commitments- you-"
"Shhh, M'lady," he placed a finger on her lips, "We are a team. And a team should be able to share their troubles as much as they can. Neither of us should hold each other down but more importantly, we shouldn't just stand by when our teammate is in crisis. I am going to help you just as much as you will help me. We are equals Marinette. Two opposites brought together to form a whole. There shouldn't be just one of us holding the weight of the world when having another pair of hands makes it easier to handle."
Before Marinette could reply, a series of whoops and cheers echoed around the room, causing the two to jump apart slightly and look at the Kwamis who were, once again, zooming across the room in different directions and doing their own thing.
Tikki and Plagg came to their holders and each of them nuzzled Marinette's cheek in a comforting approach, "He's right pigtails. You don't need to do any of this on your own. Ladybug and Chat Noir are meant to be a team, just as Tikki and I are. Without one, we can't have the other. And even with our reservations about your identities, ultimately I think it's a good thing you do know now."
Tikki nodded, looking slightly ashamed, "I'm really sorry Marinette. It might be hypocritical of me to say this, but I should have told you that maybe it was about time you guys revealed. I guess we were all influenced a bit too much by Master Fu's insistence to keep them a secret but you are our guardian now and you should be able to make the rules. You shouldn't have felt that you should have kept your identities a secret because, ideally, a guardian should know who every holder is. That includes Chat Noir. I should have told you that and let you make your own decision about it. Instead I was hellbent on keeping it a secret."
"Luckily I knocked some sense into you, huh sugarcube?" Plagg gave a teasing grin towards his other half.
"Luckily," she smiled, "You did. Plagg's right. He made me realise that perhaps with you knowing your identities, your bond will only become stronger. Especially since you both know. I'm just really sorry I am part of the reason you have been so stressed in the first place. I should have given you better advice."
"It's okay Tikki. We can't always be expected to make the right decisions, especially when we can't exactly tell what is right in the first place. And just because you are technically a god, does not mean you won't make mistakes. We all do."
"Exactly," Adrien cut her off, diverting her attention back to the blond, "We do all make mistakes but we don't always have to fix them alone. I want you to promise me right now that whatever you are facing, whether you are sad or lost or angry, to come to me, even if you can fix it easily."
"Adrien, I- I-"
"Marinette," he stepped forward and brought her back into his arms, "You deserve to not have to go through your difficulties alone. I want to be there as much as I can for you."
"Why?" she murmured into his chest, suddenly feeling overwhelmed with the emotions he displayed through his words, "Why would you want to do this for me. All I have done since I have become guardian is fail at everything. I failed Luka. I failed Kagami. I failed Master Fu. And I failed you by disregarding you so much instead of appreciating just how much you have already been there for me. I don't deserve you, I don't- I-"
Her face was grabbed from both sides causing her to yelp out a bit but she couldn't react fast enough when she realised that soft lips were pressing adamantly onto her own. Her eyes just remained wide for the few seconds Adrien's lips were on hers, but before she could respond, it was over and he was looking at her with an unwaveringly determined look on his face, "Don't. Don't say you don't deserve any of this. Don't say you are a failure."
Stubborn as she was she replied, "But I-"
He kissed her again, though it was more of a small smooch, "You, Marinette Dupain-Cheng, Ladybug. You are none of that. You are so much more than you realise. You are so amazing at everything you do. You are the best person I know in this whole goddamn world. And you are the only one who deserves all of the good that comes to you. You deserve to be happy and to be cherished and to have people who love you. And you know what? I love you. I love you more than anything this universe has to offer. I love you, as Marinette. I love you as Ladybug. I lo-"
And this time she was the one who shut him up. She grabbed his face just as he had done so to her, and pulled it towards her, having to tiptoe to actually reach where she wanted to. He, unlike her, immediately reacted by wrapping his arms around her waist and hoisting her up, his lips hastily attacking her own. This, in turn, caused her to jump and envelop his torso with her legs and answer his haste in a brisk and demanding manner. He stumbled slightly at her sudden movement, causing him to part with her lips for a few seconds and quickly manoeuvre them so he was sitting on the chaise, her sitting on his lap. Quickly, they resumed to what they had been doing and they kissed fiercely and urgently all at the same time. It was like all of their resolve to restrict themselves, all of their self-control and constraint. It was all thrown out of the window once they realised how much they wanted the other.
How much the other wanted them.
All that could be heard in the room was the smacking of wet lips (Tikki had rounded the kwamis up once she realised things were going to get rather heated between the two) and the tender melody of two people who loved each other too much but didn't have enough time to express their feelings out loud. Not when their burning desire for each other was evident in the way they kissed and the way they touched. Neither wanted to let go. Neither wanted to stop when, instead, the more daring and exciting option was to feel as if they were one. Neither wanted this to end.
Eventually, however, the kissing became more slow and relaxed. They took breaths in between and continued to explore this new feeling of happiness that bloomed between them.
"I love you too, Adrien. Chat. I love you more than I could ever put into words," she said in between a few sweet pecks.
"You don't need to tell me. I already know," he gave her a knowing smile whilst glancing at how she was sitting and, despite the position she was in- or it could of actually been due to it- Marinette felt the blood rush to her already warm cheeks and she covered her face, groaning slightly.
"Ugh. Do you have to make me blush right now? I'm embarrassed!"
His teasing chuckle caused her to create a window through her fingers to peek at him, "You're so cute M'lady."
She removed her hands from her face and pouted, "I'm leaving," she declared, making a show of trying to remove herself from his lap but he continued to laugh.
"You're not going anywhere Princess. We have at least a whole hour before your parents come and I have to leave."
"Only if you promise not to tease me," she held out her pinkie, wanting him to make a deal.
Instead, he brushed his lips against her lips, "Okay. Okay. I do have a question though."
She squinted her eyes in suspicion but nodded, "What?"
"Can I see Multimouse again?" he asked.
"Her eyes were still looking at him dubiously, "Why?"
"Well," he smirked a little and Marinette already knew it was something she wasn't going to expect. He leaned in to whisper seductively in her ear and Marinette all of a sudden wished that there was a fan in the room because of how hot it had gotten. He finished what he was saying before biting the tip of her ear in an irresistibly alluring way that got Marinette agreeing to his terms.
Well it's safe to say they did not do much talking for the rest of the hour they had together.
And if the mouse miraculous was used in the next few months, years even, purely for enjoyment, well. No one apart from Ladybug and Chat Noir needed to know about that particular information.
Yeah so I have no idea what I was going to do with this one-shot. I just wrote whatever I felt like. A bit of humour, a bit of hurt/comfort and a tremendous amount of romance to top it all off. Just the way I like it. Did you like it?
Bug out lovelies <3
