Kiss, Kiss and...Oh! Another Kiss
This is kind of inspired by that one comic where Marinette wants to avoid a love akuma so she kisses Chat... I think its one of Eden Daphne's comics. Though im not entirely sure. Regardles, I love their work. well I got the idea from it but its way different. Season 4 and 5 divergent. Here they're 19 so in uni now.
The akuma was another love one.
Great... just...Great.
Marinette was annoyed, to be honest. She was annoyed at the akuma. At Hawkmoth. At the amount of people kissing around her while she was trying to find a place to transform.
Ok... the kissing wasn't the problem, not really. It was moreso where these people where doing it.
Though, what was with Hawkmoth and love akumas? Was he so deprived of affection that he manifested his greatest and most deepest desire into his victims? (That's exactly it)
This was the third one this month alone and it wasn't even February! (It was only the 7th of October. Why not Halloween themed akumas?)
Marinette spotted an alleyway, a bit away from the amassing amount of couples locking lips and she looked back. The akuma (who was named LipLock. Seriously Mothman?), who had been chasing Marinette to get her to latch onto an unsuspecting citizen, had become distracted when she came across a couple holding hands but not kissing.
She raced towards the alley and almost sighed in relief. It seemed empty.
Then she bumped into someone and they fell into a small pile, her on top of the person she still hadn't taken a glimpse at. Her face had, instead been on the lookout for any spots close to the alley where she could transform in peace.
"Argh! Come on. What's it gonna take to find someplace I can be alone?"
"Ugh, hey Mari. Can you please get off of me?"
Her head turned so fast that Adrien almost winced, wondering how it was possible someone could turn their head at that speed without breaking their neck.
Meanwhile, Marinette had, as he expected, widened her eyes in horror and quickly rolled off of him, beginning her usual ramble of apologies whenever she did something she deemed as remotely embarrassing in front of him. They may have finished Lycée but Marinette could still be a mess around him at times. Obviously, she had gotten better over the years, however.
Ugh. Why is she so cute?
Adrien placed a hand on her shoulder, prompting her to immediately stop talking and smile sheepishly at him.
"So what are you doing here Marinette? We're quite far from the bakery."
"Huh- uh- akuma. The akuma. It started chasing me and I guess I ended up here?"
His eyebrow quirked, "And why is it chasing you?"
"Because she wants me to kiss someone," she turned her head away, trying to avoid his eyes, "And well..." there are only two people I'd willingly kiss.
"Well?" She missed the small teasing smile as he said it.
"Nothing," she squeaked. Somewhere in the back of his mind Marinette wearing space buns and a grey and pink skintight suit flashed urgently, "It's nothing."
He watched as she peered out of the alley to lookout for the akuma. Secretly, he took a glance inside his green leathered pilot jacket (from his father's newest collection no less) and found Plagg looking up at him with an amusing glint playing on his smug face. Adrien sent a warning glance at him before turning his attention back to the girl on front of him.
Marinette always seemed somehow nervous around him but, today, there was something different about her. There was haste in her stance but it was amplified because of the determination he knew (from observing her- sure - when she was in her element of confidence) meant she was conjuring up a plan in her cute little head about how to get out of this situation quickly.
It reminded him of his lady.
Suddenly, Marinette turned around to him and, if it wasn't for his enhanced hearing, he wouldn't have heard the small "Shit!" she muttered under her breath. She practically leapt towards him and looked at him with a sheepish expression as if she was guilty of something.
"Adrien. I- uh. She'scoming this way and I think she saw me so uh," her face, previously tinted lightly with pink, was now turning rouge, "Ifwekissandshepassesbymaybeshewillleaveusalone?"
"Sorry, Marinette. Can you say that again? I didn't quite get the last part." He actually did- his own pink face was quite telling- but he wanted clarification.
Did I hear her right?
"Oh- uh. The akuma will most likely leave people alone if they are kissing someone already so... maybe we should kiss," her eyes grew wide, "No! Wait- I mean, yes but only if you want to. I won't force you but this is all I could think of to stop her from chasing me and again, you don't have to really. I'll just find another way to escape her and maybe I should just go and do that now."
Marinette this is stupid. Just because you have been dreaming of kissing him since forever doesn't mean you should do this. Besides, he doesn't even want to kiss you.
She turned to leave again but Adrien caught her hand before she could slip away.
"Marinette. I don't mind helping you, even if it means we have to kiss..." he paused, "In fact, I- uh. I think it would be nice to have my first proper kiss with you."
He honestly didn't know where it came from (ok, maybe he did but he didn't mean to let it out like that). He just blurted it out. Adrien could already feel Plagg snickering but it was the truth. Marinette was an amazing person and one of the people he trusted the most. She was always there to lighten up his day as Adrien and as Chat Noir. With his increasing visits to her room as his alter ego recently, he had been welcomed to a side of Marinette that he rarely saw as Adrien and it made him bloom on the inside. He had to admit, the more he spent with her, the more he wanted to be with her. And yes, part of his heart would always be for Ladybug, whether as his best friend or something else. But he wasn't as blind as people liked to tease him when it came to Marinette. He just didn't want to scare her.
She looked, expectedly, shocked, "You-you would? Really? And what do you mean first proper kiss?"
"Uh well, yeah I would. I mean who wouldn't? I mean-uh..." he deliberately ignored the other question, "Can I- can I kiss you Marinette?"
Shyly, she nodded and Adrien took the initiative to pull her closer and gently press his lips against hers.
Kissing Marinette was different than he expected. He thought it would be a nice, sweet kiss and at first it was. For a few moments, they each just savoured the feeling of the other's lips and Adrien couldn't help but notice how her gloss- which he presumed was sticky (like the ones they put on him for shoots and shows)- made her lips feel as soft as they looked.
Marinette's eyes widened as she realised something. What? He didn't know.
Meanwhile Marinette, who, even after all these years, couldn't forget her first kiss with a certain kitty, was going through a million emotions at once when she realised how familiar his lips felt. Finally, she came to one conclusion. I love him even more.
Soon enough she closed her eyes and pressed her lips further into his with her newfound realisation. Her eagerness surprised him but he found himself melting into her as their lips molded together and both their bodies became entangled in a timid, yet passionate embrace.
Both were so caught up with each other, they didn't even realise that the akuma had found them and was swooning at the display they were putting up. (And if a certain supervillain who also happened to be the boy's father had watched the two and told LipLock to not disturb them, it was definitely not because he, and the whole of Paris by now, knew that it was about damn time. Yeah... no one needed to know.)
Marinette's hands had found its way up to his neck and she had grabbed a fistful of his hair whilst one of his hands snaked around her waist, pulling her closer to him. He guided her so her back was against one of the rough walls and his other hand rested at her nape as their lips moved faster together and all that could be heard was the sound of their lips smacked together and the occasional bashing of teeth.
Alas, all good things had to come to an end because of the natural need of all living things to breathe.
Both just looked at each other, wordlessly and breathless. Their foreheads rested together and Adrien wouldn't mind doing this more if it meant staring into the endless blue twirling like Van Gogh's The Starry Night under the small yellow light that had (conveniently) been placed on top of their heads.
There was only one word that went through both minds.
Wow.
"I- uh. I think she's gone now..." She trailed off. Her shyness was gone as she seemed to remembered something and Adrien felt enamoured (and slightly confused) as she smirked to herself, "I need to go now. But i'll see you soon, Buttercup."
I'll see you sooner than you think.
She winked at him before rushing off and Adrien just stood there, frozen, his mouth agape.
Wait. Buttercup? But that's-
(Well. That was a fun kiss to write.)
Small time skip after Adrien got his shit together and finally joined the fight.
You may be wondering how I ended up in this situation.
The situation you ask?
Well...
It all started when Chat joined the fight. Which really? It wasn't a fight as much as it was Ladybug being chased by LipLock (Seriously. Hawkmoth what is wrong with your naming skills? It's almost as bad as the outfits that come with them). When Chat arrived, he had immediately been hit with the incoming body of his screaming partner who had been surprised by his sudden appearance and the both of them had ended up on the floor in a tangle of limbs. Ladybug wasted no time in getting up, hauling Chat up with her.
Then she started running. Quickly, as he had done so many times before, he followed her.
Their communication over the years had gotten better and by now, they had learnt how each other worked. Every look. Every signal. Every small quirk that no one else could decipher apart from them. It made things easier for them and they trusted each other more than ever.
They had ended up in an alley- the alley- he realised.
Ladybug quietly called for her lucky charm. It was a lip gloss similar to the tube of gloss she used regularly. She unscrewed the lid and sniffed it and yes, it was actually the same. Just with her ladybug insignia all over it.
There was no harm in putting a bit on right? But why is this my lucky charm?
Whilst Chat was mulling over the fact that he had literally just been in this place kissing the soul out of one of the greatest people in his life, he didn't catch the teasing smile on his partner's face as she figured out how to use her lucky charm and inched closer towards him.
It was only when he found himself backed against the same wall he had backed Marinette on (im actually having so much fun giggling whilst writing this), that he looked down at the young woman with the spotted ladybug mask.
"M- m'lady?" He said, and for the first time in a while, he heard his voice crack under her intense gaze.
For a moment, Ladybug took her time to admire Chat's green eyes, which under the lighting looked like sunflowers dotted around a field of wild greenery. She always loved how lively they looked.
She cleared her throat and placed a hand on either side of his head, "I have an idea kitty."
Finding himself unable to speak, he just nodded.
"From what I gathered her and her mother had a fight because her mother caught her watching a couple kissing in whatever show she was watching and she felt frustrated because she- and this is her own words 'wants to watch people kiss in piece' and Hawkmoth had the very smart idea to feed on this and turn her into whatever fashion monstrosity of an akuma she is."
"M'lady, your idea?"
"Oh," she paused her rambling, "Yeah. Well if we lure her by kissing we could get her close enough and distracted enough to snatch the object easily."
"Ladybug," he placed his hands on her shoulders, looking serious, "Are you feeling okay?"
"Wha- Chat!"
"You practically said you wouldn't mind kissing me to lure an akuma!"
"I've done it before!"
He grumbled at that. He was still annoyed that he never got to experience his first (or second) kiss properly. The dissapointment didn't last too long when he remembered his brief but sensual encounter with Marinette earlier that day.
Marinette. He couldn't do this to her. He couldn't just kiss another girl now that he knew what kissing her felt like. Even if it was to save Paris.
"I can't."
She raised an eyebrow, "Well I'm not going to force you then. But I am curious. I thought you would jump at the chance to kiss me."
"About that. Uh. Well," He removed his hands that were on her shoulders and rubbed the back of his neck with a clawed hand, "I actually may be falling in love with someone else, I think? And if I kiss you, it will feel like I'm cheating on her even though nothing is official. Don't get me wrong Bugaboo. There's always going to be a special place in my heart for you but I can't in good conscience kiss you just after I kissed her. It just... it doesn't feel right. And this girl... I really like her. I think I have for longer than I initially thought. If I don't take my chance now, I might lose her. And I don't think I could dea-"
Before he could say anything else, he found himself embraced in a tight hug. Ladybug was squeezing the life out of him as she sniffled into his shoulder.
"Ladybug?" He whispered, as he let his hand caress her hair, "What's wrong?"
"Nothing is wrong. Actually, it's perfect. You're perfect Chaton."
He hummed in response- though it came out as more of a soft purr- even though he was rather confused at what was going on.
She lifted her head and loosened her hold around his waist.
"I promise, Adrien. You won't lose me."
"Wh-I- I'm not- how uh- how did you- what?" Realisation dawned on his face at her words and his jaw dropped. In a shocked whisper, he said "Marinette!?!"
She smiled knowingly, "So. Do you want to continue with the plan or should we come up with a new one?"
"But...but how?"
"Weirdly enough, it was the kiss. It felt familiar somehow. But the only other person I've ever kissed was Chat. And the more I thought about it, the more it made sense."
Oh my kwami. And to think I felt guilty for loving two women.
As fast as the speed of light Ladybug was lifted into the air and spun around in circles of obvious delight. Chat was laughing boisterously and Ladybug joined in with some small giggles of her own.
"Ok, Ok. Put me down Kitty."
He did as he was told but he didn't let go of her. Instead, he backed her against the wall for the second time of that day and leaned in. Their noses were almost touching. Ladybug smiled at his own loving smile and she leaned closer.
"I think I'll have that kiss now," he whispered. Ladybug breath hitched at how gruff his voice sounded.
Now that they had an idea of what to do, it was easier for Chat to capture her lips and Ladybug instantly wrapped her arms around his neck.
Knowing each other's identities made the kiss more intense, years of pining of both sides of the mask for either of them had made sure of that.
Their mouths moved in sync. To him, her lips were like milk sweetened with honey. Addicting and left him yearning for more.
Mentally, he took note of the fact that she reapplied her lip gloss, making her lips as soft as the most expensive silk his father would use for some of his best pieces. Ones, he himself had gotten to wear.
Ladybug's lips parted a bit, perhaps to catch a bit of air, but Chat took that as a chance to slip his tongue into her mouth (He had watched enough animes and dramas to want to know how it felt). She, tentatively, returned the favour and suddenly, the intensity of the kiss increased by tenfold. He responded with a purr of content, the vibration transmitting through her body and causing her to mewl in pleasure and pull him in, so that there was no space between both of their bodies and they were engulfed in each other.
So that's how Ladybug found herself kissing her partner to death.
The kiss was hungrier than the first one as with each passing second, they grew more confident in their mission to conquer the other. Hands began to wander and, both of them felt exhilarated at the fact that their suits were like a second skin. Ladybug shivered in excitement as Chat ran one of his hands up her waist and down her hips, the other had taken her thigh and lifted it, provoking her to wrap it around him, bringing them closer than they believed possible. She took slight heed of the fact that his belt had enveloped the both of them and moved her lips more intently.
And if it wasn't for the interruption of the akuma landing on front of them and concentrating on their entwining of lips a little too intensely, they wouldn't have remembered that they had a job to do and reluctantly part to get the object and de-evilise the akuma. They would still be in the midst of their sudden throe of passion to have any care in the world.
Alas, she only had 2 minutes on her timer left and they had Paris to save.
Later. They both thought. We can continue later.
Later
The fight didn't take too long, especially since the both of them were eager to continue where they had left off. Though Ladybug did have to leave for a bit and feed Tikki, before joining Chat and quickly snatching the object (which turned out to be her laptop), de-evilising the butterfly and restoring magical order in Paris once again.
Could you blame them?
They had both been dreaming of kissing each other (whether it was their civilian or hero form it didn't matter) since they had met. Of course for Marinette, the prospect of kissing Chat was a bit newer and for him, it was the same with Marinette. But once they had felt their lips on each other for the first time- or in Marinette's case, once she had been reacquainted with his lips- they were obsessed.
They were two young adults who, before this, only experienced one relationship each which lacked the emotional and sexual desire that captivated them when they were with each other.
It was hard not to be.
And the fact that even without telling each other, they knew from the kiss and just how their bodies reacted together that this wasn't just plain infatuation. It wasn't.
What it was was years of trust and comfort and the simple but extraordinary love that had been built as they spent more and more time together. A love that had was realised quickly for Adrien and Ladybug, and slowly for Chat Noir and Marinette. But it was something that had always been there. It was complicated because of their masks but as soon as the construct of their disguises had been dissolved, everything just made sense.
They ended up back in the alleyway, where they both detransformed and fed their kwamis. Nothing was said. Nothing needed to be said. Adrien just gathered Marinette into his arms, the green leather making her shiver at it's coolness.
Blue and green met under the glow of the light, forming an ocean lit under the sun and created an ombre of enchantment which neither could look away from.
For the third time of the day, their lips connected, this time only for a short minute. Even in that minute, their emotions were heartfelt and just one touch expressed the burning devotion they each had for each other. It was becoming familiar to them, yet everytime their lips met, it felt new and exotic.
Their lips separated before it got too heated and instead, Adrien peppered kisses on her forehead, her eyes, her cheeks, her nose and everywhere in between. Marinette giggled happily at his show of affection. At the sound of her laughter, his heart beat faster and he knew he would never get tired of hearing it.
"We- we really need- to talk, Adrien," she uttered, in between her giggles.
"I know," he replied, kissing her right cheek, "But do you really feel like talking right now? Because I sure don't princess."
"You know, I really love that nickname. Should I call you my Prince yo go with it?"
"Prince and Princess Agreste. I like it. I should call you that more often."
"Yeah... But don't call me that all the time. I like the other nicknames too."
He looked down at her, grinning mischievously, "Even Bugaboo?"
She rolled her eyes, "Yes. But only at the right times silly."
He leaned in, their noses touching, his grin still evidently wide, "Is now the right time Bugaboo?"
"Um. I guess..."
"Bugaboo. My Bugaboo "
"Kitty."
"Yes Bugaboo?"
"Shut up and just kiss me."
Annd I will leave it at that.
This oneshot was really just me experimenting with kisses because I just wanted to. It did take a while because I've never written so many kisses in one chapter that's written so detailed in my life. At least I don't think I have.
I know it's kinda overkill that marinette would remember her first kiss with Chat after all these years and how it felt but let's just put it down to miraculous magic. It's a fanfiction. I can do whatever I want.
The Bugaboo nickname is adorable but Adrien definitely said it way too much at the end.
It was really fun to write and I might do it again someday.
Tbh this was kind of a self indulgent fic that I really just wanted to write and here's the result.
Please tell me what you thought.
Bug out my lovelies 😘.
