Introductions...or not?

I don't know what else to call this. They're like 19 btw and Adrien didn't go to school but Gabriel was defeated like two years prior but it was kept under wraps so Adrien could have a semi normal life and Gabriel promised to be better so he has a lot of freedom now. Lila or whatever her name is still managed to steal the Butterfly miraculous and is the new HM byt thats not really relevant.

Breaking news!!!!!!

I have just recieved an exclusive from Paris's favourite duo themselves.

It's been a while since we've heard from the superhero duo, as the new Hawkmoth, who has named herself Falena (did you know that this means moth in Italian? How original 🙄. And have you seen the akumas she's let out? I thought the original HM had bad designs!) has been rather lax in these recent months.

Whilst Ladybug and Chat Noir have still been keeping up with their regular patrols, occasionally with the help of the other heroes on their team, it has been a while since they have done an interview.

Luckily, your girl managed to cat-ch them at the end of their patrol and they agreed to update everyone via the ladyblog.

So....

You heard it here first folks.

LADYNOIR IS CANON!!!!!!

I REPEAT.

LADYNOIR IS CANON!!!!!!

And it seems that they've been together for longer than everyone has realised.

Watch the video down below to get all the deets they gave me on their relationship!!!!!

Marinette smiled at the phone that was shoved into her face, "I know Alya. I saw it as soon as you posted."

"I know you did girl. But," she squealed loudly causing a few people on the streets to look at her, "I'm so happy. Not only are my otp together but they let me break the news!!!!"

Marinette giggled at her best friend's excitement, happy that she was the reason for it, even if Alya didn't know that. She shook her head, amused at Alya's constant chattering and linked her arm with her own.

"So where is Nino anyways?"

Alya paused and quickly swiped through her phone to show a text Nino had sent her, "He's at the Café waiting with us," she side-eyed Marinette, "with a friend."

Marinette groaned as she knew what Alya was trying to do, "Alya. I told you. I don't need you to help me find a boyfriend. I know Luka was a long, long time ago and it seems like I haven't moved on since I haven't dated anyone after him, but I'm fine. And I'm happy. Besides, you know I like someone."

Alya raised an eyebrow at her, though there was a mischievous glint in her eye that Marinette almost missed, "Adrien Agreste? That's just a celebrity crush."

"So?" She shrugged nonchalantly. She wasn't going to correct Alya by saying it was more than that.

"Look Mari," Alya said seriously, "I am not going to push you to do anything you don't want. We won't treat this like a double date or anything. Nino just thought it would be nice that our best friends finally meet each other and we want you to get along. I've met the guy. I think you will really like him."

Marinette pretended to sigh deeply, "Okay fine. I'll get to know him better."

Once Alya had made it clear that it was Nino's best guy friend they were talking about, Marinette automatically knew who it was. Because even if Nino hadn't told her his best friend's name- something about promising his dude that he wouldn't share it out like that- unbeknownst to Alya and Nino, Marinette already knew who it was.

She realised what the glint of mischief she saw in Alya earlier meant and she smirked.

Alya may think that she was going to be surprised, but it was Alya who would get the shock of her life.

She unhooked her arm from Alya's and dug out her phone, "Al. I just remembered I've gotta remind Papa of something important to do with a delivery. You know Maman is at her class right now so she asked me to do it. You go ahead and I'll be there in a bit."

Alya's eyes squinted in her direction, as if wondering if she had another motive, "Okay. I'll send you the directions to the Café. Be quick."

Marinette waved at her friend as she walked off to their destination without her, her phone in hand, probably updating Nino about the situation.

Marinette waited for Alya to be out of her peripheral vision and called someone, who was not her Papa. The person picked up within three seconds.

"Hey! I was just about to call you. You'd never believe what I just found out."

"Does it have anything to do with our best friends and the Café near your house?" She replied, her voice feigning innocence.

A pause came from the other side of the line, and then laughter and some cackling was heard, "Oh, we are going to have so much fun with this."

.......

Marinette looked around the Café, trying to catch sight of her friends. She couldn't see them so she walked further into the building and towards the back, which was separated by a brick wall that matched the aesthetic of the shop. She found Alya and Nino right behind the wall on a table for four people. There was already an assortment of snacks and drinks on the table and Alya and Nino were currently in a deep conversation with their heads together and their hands idly playing with their drinks.

They didn't notice her until she sat on front of them, making a deliberately large noise as she moved the chair so she could sit.

"Hey guys."

"Hey Mari. I thought you were gonna bail on us."

"Nino. I'm shocked. You should have more faith in me," she put her hand over her heart dramatically, like she had seen Chat Noir do many times before.

"I'm joking Mari," he grinned, "anyways, my bro said he would be here soon. I hope you don't mind."

She smiled at him, "I really don't. I know that any friend of yours will be as nice as you are."

He snorted, "Are you saying that about yourself?"

She didn't reply, just grinned at him, causing Alya to burst out laughing and the two soon joined in.

They chatted for a few more minutes before Nino got a text and stood up, maneuvering himself so he was next to the wall hiding them, and waving his best friend over to where they were sitting.

Alya quickly snuck a look at her friend and grabbed her hand, "Mari. I know I said that he was just a celebrity crush, but this is your chance to make it more than that."

Marinette made her best confused face, "Alya- wha-what are you talking about?"

Alya gripped her hand and shuffled a bit forward so she was leaning more into Marinette. She whispered, "I'm sorry that Nino and I didn't tell you beforehand but even I only found out who his best friend was recently. And I wanted to tell you but I promised him that I wouldn't yet."

"I-I don't understand."

Before Alya could say anything more, Nino cleared his throat from behind her, genuinely startling both girls from their conversation. They stood up and Marinette turned to see who Nino brought.

Nino was accompanied by a tall guy in a dark green hoodie and black jeans. His hood was large around his face but his green eyes pierced through Marinette's soul as he stared intently at her.

Internally, Marinette smirked, but she let her jaw drop anyways, as if to show that she had recognised who was standing on front of her.

"Marinette. This is Adrien Agreste," he gestured between the two, "My best friend."

Alya quickly cut in, "And Adrien. This is Marinette Dupain-Cheng. My best friend."

Nino moved to where his seat was and braced himself for the Marinette freak-fest that was bound to happen.

Adrien moved forward to the final seat but didn't sit. Instead, he bowed at the girl next to him and held out his hand for her to shake. Both Nino and Alya were surprised that despite her shocked demeanour, Marinette shook his hand calmly.

But when Adrien held onto her hand and brought it to his lips, placing a gentlemanly kiss on the front of it, they were sure Marinette would start to hyperventilate. They had watched Marinette obsess over his photoshoots for months, not only because it was a Gabriel photoshoot, but she found Adrien Agreste- in her own words- sexy and irresistible. Both Alya and Nino knew that Marinette would most likely become a mess when she met Adrien so they were prepared for it.

But they didn't expect that Marinette would just giggle- and it wasn't a nervous giggle, it was more of an amused one- and roll her eyes at her supposed celebrity crush that was standing on front of her and had just kissed her hand!

It was only when Marinette and Adrien sat down after greeting each other that Alya and Nino realised they had become distracted by Marinette's unlikely behaviour.

"So you're the best friend I've been hearing about? The one who's always busy and asked Nino not to tell me who you are. I can see why," Marinette spoke. The both of them could hear the entertainment in her voice.

"And you must be the other best friend who's just as busy as I am and who also has a celebrity crush on me. I mean, I get it. I know I'm extremely handsome," he wiggled his eyebrows at her in a flirty manner, causing Nino to chortle in surprise as it was not something he had seen his friend do before.

Marinette glanced at him with a raised eyebrow and Nino gave her a sheepish smile, "I am so sorry Mari. It slipped out this one time I was talking about you and he wanted to know more about you so I told him."

For a second, he thought she would be mad at him and that would be the end of his short life and he had already begun preparing his goodbye speech to the world, but Marinette just smirked and turned back to Adrien.

"I admit. I do look at your pictures a lot and I am a fan of you. But I wouldn't say it's a celebrity crush. I wouldn't even call it a crush."

"Oh?" He remarked and brought his face closer to hers, "And what would you call it?"

Neither Nino or Alya were sure what to make of the sudden flirting between their two best friends. They had only just met and whilst Nino and Alya were sure that the two could be good for each other, they didn't expect them to be immediately attracted to each other, so much so that they were already acting on that attraction.

Marinette tapped a finger under her chin, "I would call it being your biggest fan and your biggest supporter."

"Well I'm sorry to say Miss Dupain-Cheng, but  those spots are already taken," for dramatic effect, he paused, "By my lovely girlfriend."

"What? Dude! Since when did you have a girlfriend?"

Adrien looked at Nino and laughed, "For a while. We just wanted to keep it a secret until she became a bit more established in the industry."

"Is she a model?"

He shook his head, "No. Though she could be. She is more beautiful than any model I've seen."

Why Marinette started blushing, Alya did not know, but she did have questions to ask as she glared at the model on front of her, "Then why are you flirting with Mari. That's not cool Adrien."

"Yeah dude. If you have a girlfriend, you shouldn't be flirting with someone else."

Again, Adrien laughed, and even Marinette let out a small snort, causing the other two to feel more confused, "I don't think it matters when the one I was flirting with is, in fact, my girlfriend," And as if to make his point, he grabbed Marinette's hand and placed their intertwined hands on the table.

"What!" Alya shouted out and looked back and forth between the two. Nino just sat there, his jaw hung open with barely a sound coming out of his mouth.

"Surprise," Marinette said half-heartedly, her free hand shaking in the air like a jazz hand.

"What?" Alya gulped, "What is happening?"

Adrien gave her a small smile and brought his other hand on top of the pair of hands already clasped together, "What is happening is that we are telling you that we are together. We have been for quite a while now."

"How? How did this happen?"

The coupled looked at each other and shared some knowing looks. Earlier, whilst on the phone they had already discussed how they would explain it.

"Well," Marinette started, "Do you remember when I won the Gabriel competition with the bowler hat?"

Both Alya and Nino nodded.

The rest of their time together was spent explaining the story of how they got together, except for the details of their superhero selves and how they fit into it.

At least Alya and Nino were right in thinking they would be good together.

It was just that they already were.

Wow. I managed one oneshot without them kissing. But I still made Adrien kiss her hand. Eh. Its an improvement.

This is just a quick one that was in my head last night and I thought it was funny so I wrote it. It took me less than 2 hours which wow. I usually get distracted so I usually take longer.

I am hoping that I will be able to write another long oneshot soon though I have my mock exams and 1 actual exam this month. And I also have this thing happening next week. So I don't know when I can get onto that. In the meantime, hopefully I will be able to update a one or two times this month.

Bug out lovelies 😘.
